Rose's POV:
"Myra are you alright?" I called out to her as she tried to run away from Ben and I.
"Myra, no come back and sit down." Ben grabbed her arm before she could get anywhere and had her sit down at the tree again. I grabbed her backpack, but something fell out.
"Is this yours? It fell out of your bag." I said handing the piece of paper that fell out to her.
"I don't remember putting it in there." She seemed to cringe. "W-What is it?"
"I don't know, it looks like a drawing or something." I said inspecting it and then handing it to her. I looked at Ben, who also had a worried expression.
"I miss Cole!" She suddenly blurted out looking up at the both of us. Ben was confused and I was slightly confused too. I mean, I knew Cole liked Myra, but I wasn't sure if she felt the same. Apparently, she did.
"When's the last time you slept, Myra? Fainting doesn't count." I asked becoming more concerned for her health.
"When did we leave Camp?"
"Three weeks ago."
"Then the last time I slept was three weeks ago." She said looking back down, studying the piece of paper she was loosely holding.
"Myra, why haven't you slept in three weeks?" Ben pinched the bridge of his nose and stared down at Myra.
"Sleeping drains me more than being awake ya know. She's training me harder an' harder every time I sleep. I don't wanna sleep anymore. Sleeping hurts. Everything hurts." She struggled to speak, but I sat down on one side of her, Ben sitting on the other.
"Who, Myra? Khione?" I asked.
"Mhm." She nodded her head. "My mom can be kinda mean."
"You should've told us, Myra. But that doesn't matter now, we'll get through this quest together and we'll be back at camp in no time. I'm sure of it." I said trying to be more optimistic about the situation.
"Khione says she wants me to stay with her or she isn't gonna let you come back. She told me not to tell you guys anything though... Don't tell anyone mk?"
"Well there's nobody we could really tell now. Did she say anything else, Myra?"
"She's been telling me where to go and what to do. She doesn't like you guys very much though. Wanted me to push ya both in with those nasty Sirens. I told 'er no though. You guys are my friends." She grinned weakly at the both of us.
"Well, I'm going to take a guess that you don't want to stay with her, and we're not going to let that happen. It'll be hard, but not impossible. We have to stop here for a bit to come up with a plan, Myra. I know you want to keep going but I really don't think that's the best idea now."
"It's alright. I can't really walk right now anyways."
"Yeah, we'll take a nap, I'll get your sleeping bag if you're cool with that?" I tried to say this as cautiously as possible, but it seemed to trigger her anyway.
"No! I don't wanna see her again!" She yelled earnestly. This woman seemed to be worse than I could ever imagine if she had the ability to make even Myra scared.
"No, no just lay down and rest, you don't have to sleep. And if you start to, I'll wake you ok?"
"Promise?"
"I promise, Myra. You don't have to see her again right now." She simply nodded in reply beginning to lay down. I stood up and walked with Ben not too far away as to keep an eye on Myra. "So what are we going to do?" I asked. I honestly wasn't sure how to go about this, but I was hoping Ben would because he definitely knew more about whoever Khione was than I did.
