Myra's POV:

It had been two months and besides the occasional protest, my leadership over the demigods went smoothly. I often lead small quests under Khione's orders. Viper and I worked in harmony together easily and we were a feared duo. Separate, we were powerful, but together, we were unstoppable. At the moment, I was sleeping peacefully in my room, until Khione slammed open the door. I jumped to my feet and grabbed my sword, ready to fight.

"Hailstorm. I want you to go west of the castle. There is a lost demigod there whom I need you to bring back." She said quickly.

"Of course. Are they already under my charge or are they new?"

"New. Hurry now, I want you out as soon as the sun rises. And Hailstorm?"

"Yes, Khione?"

"Do make sure you befriend him. He is very important to my future plans." She turned around and left the room. The door slammed behind her again. I let out a sigh of relief and put my sword down. With one last glance at the door, I reached under my pillow and pulled out the piece of paper from Cole. I stuffed it back into my sword sheath in case Khione found it lying around, but definitely not because I felt safer when it was nearby. That would be crazy... I got ready and wrote a quick note to Viper and pinned it on my door, letting her know she was in charge until I got back.

"Do you need someone to come with you, Miss Hailstorm?" Knox, one of the youngest demigods here, asked.

"No thank you Knox, I've got my name for a reason." I replied and told the seven year old to go and wake Viper. He complied and left me alone in the large corridor. I moved swiftly down the hall and followed many twists and turns until I was outside. The rising sun hit my back and made my armour shine. I'd never admit it to anyone else, but I felt like a hero at the moment or maybe a knight. Off to save a damsel in distress with my sword swinging at my side. I smiled and started walking west, hopefully the demigod wouldn't be too far away.

It had been three hours of walking in silence. My first sign of the demigod was a clearing where the plants had miraculously all leaned away from the center, acting like a shield. A fire had been stamped out recently because there was a circle of rocks and charred wood. My next sign of him was a little clearer. The boy jumped out of a tree and landed next to me, flat on his face.

"Were you trying to crush me?" I laughed at the boy who gave me a shy smile. He had mud smeared all over him from the fall.

"I-uhh..." He stuttered and sat up to get a better look at me. I looked at him expectantly. "My name's Nathaniel."

"That's not answer, but ok." I rolled my eyes. "So Nathan. Care to tell me what you're doing alone in the woods?" I asked and offered him my hand.

"Think I can tell the wrong sort for myself, thanks." He said and didn't take my hand.

"Was... was that a Harry Potter reference?" Nathan perked up instantly.  "Tell me your Hogwarts and Ilvermorny houses now or I swear I'm abandoning you in the woods." I joked.

"Hufflepuff and Thunderbird." He grinned in reply and got to his feet.

"Oh gods, I'm so glad I got sent to find you. Gryffindor and Horned Serpent by the way. Now get packed up, I need to hear your thoughts on Severus Snape."

"Wait, got sent?"

"Umm... how should I put this... You know anything about Greek Mythology?"

"Not really."

"Well then be prepared to shut up and listen. Unless you like living alone in the woods?"

"I don't."
