Rose's POV:

"How is Will? Corbyn and I don't really see him anymore." Walker asked me as we walked back from their room. Myra was getting a bit much for me with Nathan and his feelings... I just... it seemed like the wrong place to talk about it. We got to the door just as Walker had finished asking me about Will and, when we went inside, there he was. Will was frantically tearing apart his room in search for something... I was willing to bet he was looking for me or any trace of where I could have gone.

"Will? What are you doing?" I asked stepping in front of Walker who had entered before me.

"Rose?! Where were you? I thought-I... Gods! I thought Olthen got to you! I had no idea what happened! You didn't even bother to say anything! I'm right next door!" Will yelled running a hand through his hair, pulling at it. He gave me a worried, yet angry, expression and stepped closer. I turned away from him and spoke to Walker.

"Uh... Walker, I can handle this... you can leave..." I said quietly.

"Yeah, I'm gonna go... good luck." I rolled my eyes at Walker with a small smile and then closed the door, turning back to Will.

"So?!" He said, his voice beginning to rise again. I stayed where I was, not wanting to go near him. I'd never seen him this mad before so I wasn't sure what he was capable of doing.

"I just went to see Myra, Will. I figured I wouldn't be that long so it wasn't a huge deal." I tried to explain softly. The last thing we needed to do was to get into another argument, especially this close to Ben and Cole getting here. I didn't want to leave on a bad note. I just hoped he thought the same way as me.

"R-Rose, you can't do that! What if someone spotted you!? What if... what if Olthen found you!? He'd see you're fine and he'd try to do something to you! And then he'd come to me and he'd-he'd kill me for letting you go with Walker! How could you! Rose why w-" I cut him off.

"I know, okay? I understand that! But I wasn't caught, right!? So it's alright! I'm alright!" I said reassuringly, stepping closer towards him. He gave me an angry expression not letting up and then stepped closer to me, raising his hand. My jaw dropped and I ran to the corner of the room, sitting down and hiding my face. "P-Please... d-don't..." I stuttered out.

"Wh-what?" He asked me.

"Please d-don't hit me. I-I d-don't know what I-I'd do if y-you did that t-too..." I said quietly, refusing to look up. I felt his hand touch my shoulder lightly and I flinched as it sent chills down my spine.

"No, Rose... I'd never hit you. I was just gonna... run my hand through my hair. Y-You know I do that a lot..." he said comfortingly yet, slightly, awkwardly. I looked up and wiped my face. I got up shakily and smiled.

"I... uh... sorry I just... I thought you were like... sorry." I said, not sure how to form normal words anymore. I assumed when someone got mad they would take their anger out on me. Everyone else did. Ben hit me before when he was mad. Even when I tried to stay calm. Maybe I had been too forceful, making him want to shut me up? Or maybe it was payback? I just know I didn't want it to happen again.

Will looked at me, his face softer, as he guided me to the bed. I sat down and he sat in front of me. "Why'd you say too?... when you thought I was..." he trailed off. After awhile of silence, I had gained back my composure and took a breath.

"What do you mean?" I asked. I knew what he meant but I didn't want to say it...

"You said you didn't want me to hit you and that you didn't know what you'd do if I did it too..." he said slowly, trying to comprehend it before I spoke.
