Myra's POV:

Considering I once lead an army and I have the ability to summon blizzards at my fingertips, I should not miss cuddling with Cole and Hunter as much as I do right now. My heart ached a bit at the thought of them. It's been a little over a week, traveling in complete silence in case Rose heard me. My only entertainment was Rose's occasional singing, but it was... weird to say the least. Anytime she started to sing I would pretty much drop anything I was holding and ended up frozen on the spot until she stopped or got far enough away for it to wear off. It must be another one of her powers she doesn't know about. Earthquakes and now siren-like singing? She could already over power me and I know the extent of my powers. Once she knew hers... she'd be incredibly powerful.

I feel pretty useless at the moment. Especially because Rose wasn't sleeping and I wasn't allowed to do anything about it. All I could do was follow along helplessly. She hardly ever stopped unless it was to grab something small to eat out of her bag. Luckily I had packed some food for me too, but I've been surviving on a diet of mostly goldfish crackers and granola bars. I was doing my best to stay alert, but I'm exhausted and hungry. I have to stay alert though, due to recent circumstances...

There's been someone tailing us. He looks to be around our age, maybe a couple years older, with shoulder length, greasy blond hair and pale, sallow skin. We only made eye contact once, and it was not pleasant. His eyes had dark rings around them, yet they were sharp and filled with malice. I'd seen him around five times in the past few days, peeking out behind trees to get a look at us. I wanted to confront him so bad, but I can't leave Rose alone. No matter what.

Today is going on like usual. I trailed Rose easily, keeping a steady watch. I keep hearing rustling noises in the forest behind me. I thought it was just squirrels or something at first, but it's been going on for awhile. My suspicious thoughts immediately went to the boy, but I shook my head to clear it. The lack of sleep must be getting to me. If Cole were here he'd probably stop everything just so I could get some rest. Gods, I miss him so much...

I trailed after Rose, making sure she was just barely in sight. It was hard to see with the rising sun shining in my eyes. Unlike Rose, I did not want to go back to Ayrith. My old "home". Suddenly, a rock flew narrowly past my head and hit the tree in front of me. I spun on my heel and whipped around, my hand reached for my sword. Nothing was there. Gods... I really am going insane. I kept on walking a few more feet before my arms were suddenly held against my back, restricting any movement. I started to scream, but someone's hand covered my mouth, muffling my voice. I tried to escape, but the boy I had been seeing came up and sprayed something. He was wearing a bandanna, but I was certain he had a smirk on his face. I struggled a bit more, but my vision quickly faded into a black haze and I hit the ground.
