Will's POV:

I wake up next to Rose. She's still holding onto me and I'm still holding onto her, but more so than when we first fell asleep. I'd say it wasn't my fault like last time... but it is. I woke up last night and saw her, she looked so peaceful. So I moved closer and wrapped both of my arms around her, holding her close to my chest. Then I fell back asleep to the sound of her light breathing. I hated myself for getting attached. I wasn't supposed to, Olthen told me no. And Olthen's word is law around here. But... maybe I didn't want to follow it anymore... I mean, just for now. Rose was still asleep when I looked down it check on her. I didn't want to get up this time. I didn't want to get away. I wasn't nervous about this anymore. I don't know why I did it... but I just wanted to be closer. So... I leaned down and kissed her on the forehead. My face heated up the second her eyes opened. "Morning." She said with a sleepy smile.

"Morning. How'd you sleep?" I asked her. She snuggled into my chest and closed her eyes.

"Really well. How about you?" She asked groggily obviously still trying to wake up.

"Best sleep I've had for a while." I said honestly. Since I was young, I always woke up during the night having nightmares, usually, consisting of my past. I always felt so alone. But being with Rose made it easier.

"Well that's good." She replied with a yawn.

"Do you want some breakfast?" I asked sitting up. She didn't let go of me, so she sunk a little, her hands still around my torso. I kept one arm around her, my hand resting on her shoulder.

"Help me sit up?" She asked. I held her sides and lifted her to a sitting position and then put my arm around her. She rested her head on my shoulder. "What were you gonna make?" She asked. I thought for a minute and then began speaking again.

"I'm not sure if it's going to be too heavy for you... but then again you ate meatloaf and mashed potatoes last night and you were fine... how about a pancake?" I asked. She perked up and look at me shaking her head rapidly.

"Yes please!" She exclaimed excitedly.

"Alright." I chuckled. "I'll be right back then." I got up turning a light on and then putting one of my clean shirts on.

"Will? Before you get the food, could you check in on Myra for me? Just make to sure she's alright. And if she asks... tell her I'm not mad at her. I know she holds that kind of stuff in..." she explained.

"Of course. I'll be back soon." She nodded and then I left, closing the door behind me. I started walking to the cells where Myra was staying and walked down the hall. "Hey, Myra." I greeted her.

"Hi, Will." She said in a monotone voice. She didn't look me in the eye, she just stared into empty space.

"How are you today?" I asked leaning against a wall.

"I'm fine." She replied the same way she greeted me.

"Uh... okay then. Rose just wanted me to check in on you but... I guess since you're good I'll just head out..." I said standing up straight and turning towards the exit to walk away.

"Wait! Please..." Myra said now standing and at the bars, holding onto them.

"Yeah?" I asked her leaning against the wall again in my previous spot.

"Is Rose okay? She looked so... tired yesterday." She looked down sadly and then back up to me worriedly.

"She's alright. It was just the walk here. But she ate well last night and drank and got a really good night's sleep so she's better. She looks better than she did yesterday." I said thinking back to when I saw her face this morning. She definitely looked less pale than she had been yesterday.
