Nathan's POV:
It's been awhile since our little "meeting" with Eros. At first, the arrow he shot me with had no real effect... but it was starting to kick in. I sighed, dazing out as I watched Rose walk by. It wasn't fair! Ever since Eros had shot me with his arrow I could feel my heart speed up and heat rush to my face whenever she got near me. She was messing with my head. Before I knew what was happening, I was hanging on to her every word. This wasn't like how it was with Myra. I wasn't remotely in control right now. I snapped out of my daze and saw a rose had grown at my feet. I quickly grew the medicinal plant Myra needed and picked both plants up. Ben was out hunting, so now was my chance. I walked up to Rose and sat down next to her.
"Hey Nathan. What's up?" She asked, smiling at me. My heart started pounding so loud I could hear it.
"Uhh... Nothing much. I umm... I got you this." I shakily held out the rose to her.
"Awe! Nathan! You didn't have to do that. Thank you so much!" She accepted it happily. I tried to ignore the butterflies in my stomach.
"It's no big deal... I was just-I uhh... I have to grow that plant for Myra anyways." I showed her the plant as proof. Rose laughed and I awkwardly set it down next to me. For once, I had no idea what to do. I scratched the back of my neck uncomfortably.
"You should probably go give Myra her medicine." Rose laughed.
"Uh y-yeah. I should. Definitely." I uncomfortably cleared my throat and stood up.
"Are you okay, Nathan?" She asked, starting to get concerned at my hesitation.
"Yeah! I'm amazing! Umm... I gotta go... to uh... give this to Myra." I quickly ran off. My heart was racing and my face was red. Gods, how was I going to make it through this quest when I couldn't even look at her without blushing?
"Wow. Looks like someone has it bad." Myra smirked at me.
"W-What are you talking about?" I asked nervously.
"Well, for one thing, your face looks like a fire hydrant."
"It does?!" I said shocked and immediately put both hands on my face. My face was practically on fire... gods...
"And you're nervously responding to everything so... yeah I'm pretty sure you got it bad, son." She said, looking at me with an amused expression.
"I-uh... Don't tell anyone. Please." I begged.
"I don't know... Can I get something out of this?" She questioned me.
"Myra I'm the one who's been keeping you awake." I gave her a look.
"Ugh! Fair enough I guess..." she said, crossing her arms in defeat.
"Here, just take your medicine." I handed her the leaves.
"Fine." Myra took the leaves from me and walked back over to Cole. I turned around and almost crashed into Ben.
"Um... hi?" I said in a worried and scared way.
"Hey, Nathan. What's up?" Ben said casually with a couple of animals in his hand. He had just come back from hunting.
"N-Nothing much..." I said and scratched the back of my neck, looking down.
"You alright, man?" He asked stepping closer to me to get a better look, most likely.
"Fine! Perfect actually!" I said looking at him, faking my best smile.
"Uh... ok? That's good, I guess. Uh... I'm gonna go check on Rose now..." Ben chuckled. As soon as he was out of my sight, I groaned and hid my face in embarrassment. I was alone for awhile until I was suddenly startled by someone's voice.
