Rose's POV:
Today was the day of us leaving. Cole and Nathan are on good terms... but now Myra and Ben may not be. Ben tried to apologize during breakfast, but Myra seemed to be too emotional about the situation and Ben's reaction to it. Ben explained to me, after Myra left, that he didn't mean to start any more problems, but it was still hard for him to comprehend what happened to Cass although it's been a little while. I could tell how much he cared about her and how attached he must have gotten to her before he left her to go to Camp, but Myra seemed to love Cass just as much, if not more. He told me not to worry about it and he'd figure things out with Myra himself. I was glad he wasn't asking for my help, but I told him I was there for him if he did need me.
Later, I was waiting at a clearing with Ben and Nathan for Cole and Myra to come. They came minutes later, as prepared as us to leave. We all feared this quest, but we all knew what had to be done and our motivation to come back alive and together kept us going. Myra stuck with Cole as we began walking and Ben was with Nathan. Myra told me that I could lead for a few days and then she would take a turn for the rest of the way. It took a few days of uncomfortable silence for us to become accustomed to this new way of life. Small talk was occasional and only used if we hunted, had to tell the others what to do, or if it involved where to go. After my days of leading were up according to Myra, she took the lead herself. I walked with Ben, but Cole decided to keep himself right beside Myra. She didn't mind, probably because of her wanting to keep an eye on him anyways. Nathan walked behind all of us, alone. We all kept at a good pace as we made it to a mountain type area. "What's supposed to be around here, Myra?" I called out from behind her. I made my way to her side so it would be easier to talk."Not positive, but I'm pretty sure the Hydra nest could be here. Again, I'm not certain because you guys said you didn't see any signs of it... but we'll keep an eye out." She explained while glancing at the map and back to all of us every few seconds.
"Ok sounds good... well not good but, you know what I mean." Myra let out a small laugh.
"Yeah, whatever. We should keep moving." I nodded and then we started forward again. After a while of walking, Myra shouted out to us from the front of the line we made walking. "I think I may see something up there." She pointed. "Something shiny up ahead. I think it might be a scale. I want to check it out."
"Alright, we'll go with you." Ben said as we started following Myra to where she said she saw the shiny object she thought was a scale. It turned out to just be a small patch of ice, but the sun was just reflecting off of it. Myra rolled her eyes and continued walking until someone appeared out of the shadows. It was a guy with bright blonde hair and a bow with arrows around his back. He looked powerful to me, too powerful to just be a demigod.
"Well look who managed to find me? How unexpected." He said with a deep laugh. His eyes seemed to sparkle as he looked each and every one of us up and down.
"Who are you?" I asked, annoyed at the silence this guy had bestowed upon us.
"R-Rose? We need to get out of here... now." Myra said, her voice shakey as she inched closer to me.
"Why? Who is this guy?" I asked, curious. I was also annoyed that he hadn't introduced himself already. We had places to be.
"If I'm correct... this is Eros." Myra said gaining like 1% of composure.
"Pretty and smart? Well you're certainly interesting, Myra." Eros said checking Myra out. Cole made his way over to Myra protectively, but said nothing. Eros simply laughed at them, shaking his head, a smile revealing his perfect teeth. Why was this guy so... well, perfect? It made me rather uncomfortable.
"How do you know my name?" Myra said losing that 1% of composure she had gained.
"I've been keeping an eye on all of you. You should be happy you've caught my attention." His voice was so calm making me feel very unsettled. But, I also started to enjoy his voice, as creepy as he now seemed. I still didn't really know who this guy was.
