Cole's POV:
Ben and I are about four days to the prison where we'll meet Damian and, hopefully, be able to get Myra and Rose out quickly. Ben and I were talking and he said, since we're close, I should probably get to sleep fast just in case Damian needs to speak to me. I agreed and he took watch while I drifted to sleep. It was easy since I was beyond exhausted. We've been traveling nonstop everyday since I talked to Damian. We've definitely gotten a lot closer. Closer than I thought we would have. Damian gave us about 9 days, but we're probably, at this rate, going to be there in 7. At first I was just dreaming, but then he showed up. We were in a park-like setting and Damian was leaning against a small fence wearing a cut up grey t-shirt and black sweatpants. "Damian." I said. He nodded with a sad smile.
"I have news. And a plan." He said quickly. I nodded and took a step forward.
"A-Alright, awesome! Let's hear it!" I said excitedly. I was just glad we weren't going in blind.
"Alright... so we may have to fight. It's almost 99% positive that we'll have to. But we won't be alone. I've gathered people I can trust. It'll be you, Ben, and I... but then we'll also have my girlfriend, Shadow, and my friends Will, Corbyn and Walker. You guys, when you get here, will be met by Rose and Corbyn. He'll have half a skeleton face, but don't worry, he's on our side. After that, Corbyn and Rose will show you where you can stay for the rest of the day. It'll be easier if we try to get in and out at night since the people on watch are never awake. Rose will bring you to Myra's cell but keep her quiet... she's a bit uh... loopy." I nodded but stopped him from talking.
"What do you mean she's loopy?" I asked concerned for Myra's current state.
"It's the treatments Olthen had us give her... but we'll find a way to reverse it. Will is working on a reversal. For now, she'll be given placebo's." He assured me. I nodded.
"Alright, go on." I gestured for him to continue with telling me about the plan.
"Ok... so once you have Myra, you guys have to get out of there as quickly as possible, okay? We'll try to get everyone helping, out too, but I know a lot of us won't make it..." he trailed off sadly.
"Thank you, Damian. I'll tell Ben about the plan too." He nodded. Everything started to fade, but then it went back to normal.
"Oh, Cole." He said.
"Yeah, what's wrong?" I asked him. Did he forget to tell me something.
"I talked to Rose... she wanted me to ask you if you could tell uh... Ben that she says sorry." I nodded and thanked him again. Finally, he left and I woke up. I got up from the hard ground and walked over to where Ben sat. He immediately began picking up the supplies as I helped.
"So? What'd Damian say? Did he even come to you?" He pressed. I nodded.
"Yeah, he came. He told me the plan for when we get there but..." I trailed off. He gave me a questioning look once we stood up, holding my pack on my back.
"But what? What, Cole? What'd he say?" He asked nervously.
"He said he spoke to Rose... she told him that she wanted me to tell you... she says sorry." I spoke flatly. His face softened.
"Sh-she did?" His voice cracked. I nodded. "D-did she say anything e-else?" He asked. I shook my head. He looked down. "Okay... I uh... we should get going. Um... come on you can tell me the plan on the way." He said beginning to walk. I followed after him and began explaining the plan to him. He was happy about seeing Rose before anything else, but he still seemed off. I brushed it off, not wanting to make Ben feel worse than he already did. We walked in silence the rest of the way...
