Myra's POV:

Planning, planning, planning. That's all I did for the next week. Rose, Nathan, Ben, and especially Cole didn't seem too happy about this. They started taking shifts at looking after me. My mornings started off with Cole who kept me until lunch, then afternoons were spent with Ben, Nathan kept an eye on me during the evening, and I stayed with Rose in the Poseidon Cabin at night. At the moment I had a map with our selected route out in front of me while I drew possible pathways for us to take. I was pretty sure I had found a possible shortcut, but I needed to check in with Ben and Rose first. I couldn't remember spotting any hydra nests around that area, but it had the potential to house one. Ben and Rose may have seen one on their way to rescue me. The sun was already setting, but I figured I'd find Rose early and ask her and Ben.

"Hey, Nathan?"

"Yeah?"

"Where are Ben and Rose?"

"Ben said he had to talk to Rose about something, so most likely in the Poseidon Cabin."

"Well I have to talk to them so I'm going to go and look."

"Ok, see ya."

"Bye." I left Nathan and started making my way to the Poseidon Cabin. I kept a careful watch in case anyone tried to talk to me. Eventually, I made my way to the cabin and opened the door with my map in hand.

"Ben? Rose? Oh gods! Seriously?!" I recoiled as I saw Ben and Rose making out.

"Oh hey, Myra. Come on in." Rose giggled as her face heated up a bit.

"You guys are gross!"

"Come on, it's just a kiss. And who doesn't knock before entering anyways?"

"I was chained to a hospital bed for three months. I'm sorry if my manners aren't up to par yet."

"Just forget about it, did you need something?"

"I needed help deciding if we should take a certain shortcut, but if you guys are gonna keep sucking face I can leave." I turned and was about to leave until Ben spoke up.

"Gods Myra, just let us see the map."

"Here." I handed Ben the map and sat on the bed so we were sitting in a triangle sort of shape. After Ben quickly looked it over with Rose, Rose grabbed the map and examined it carefully up closer.

"Well... I guess we could take the shorter route. I know there's gonna be a lot of obstacles to say the least, but when have we not encountered a bunch?" Rose said finally.

"True enough, but I'm not worried about that. This area has the climate that is likely to host a hydra nest. Did you happen to see any signs of one?" I asked curiously.

"Not particularly, but we'll keep an eye out as we travel for sure." Ben answered me with confidence.

"I know. We'll have to leave soon. The Winter Solstice is coming. We're screwed if we don't get to the castle before then."

"Maybe we should wait then?" Ben blurted out.

"What!?" I asked shockingly. Did he even know the risks in leaving after the solstice!? What was he thinking!?

"I don't know... just a suggestion. Maybe it's for the better, we can get more training in too. But it's your decision."

"I keep forgetting you guys weren't in the castle with me. No, there's no way we can wait. Khione is strongest then. She intends to take over."

"Alright, then we can leave in a couple of days."

"Maybe we should go tomorrow... Just to be safe..." I wanted to get this over with and, to me, a couple of days felt like too long.
