Rose's POV:

I woke up to Percy snoring. He didn't wake me up this time, but I had already gotten use to waking up early. It was 7:30, but I heard commotion outside. I saw Cole and Myra. Myra seemed to be walking up a ice bridge to get something, but it didn't hold. She fell, definitely getting hurt. Cole rushed over to her and picked her up, heading to the infirmary. He must've said, or better yet did, something stupid. I decided to brush it off, the information didn't seem too important now. Maybe later. I soon decided I would take a shower tonight and get a good night's rest by going to bed early. To wait for Percy to wake up, I decided to go to the lake for a swim. As I was walking, admiring my surroundings, Cole ran up beside me. "Hey."

"Oh, hey Cole! What's up?"

"Well..." he said nervously. "I'm kinda scared." He said rather hesitantly.

"What? Why is that?"

"Well, Myra, you and Ben will be going on that quest tomorrow, and..." he trailed off putting his hands into his jean pockets as we walked. I suddenly realized something.

"Cole, do you like Myra?" He smiled shyly and looked down.

"Well..."

"Oh my gods, you do!" I said excitedly. "Wait, are you worried she won't make it during the quest, Cole?"

"No, I know she'll make it. She's a tough girl. But I'm worried she won't come back. I mean, she told me she'd come back to Camp once you guys completed the quest but I don't know..."

"Well, if anyone can convince her, it'd be you. I mean, she hates me and Ben isn't exactly on amazing terms with her right now. Plus, she seems to trust you." I said as sincerely as possible. I did mean it, she could hold actual conversations with Cole, as I could see, than with anyone else in this camp.

"You think so?" He asked hopefully.

"Yeah, you should talk to her."

"I'm not sure if she'll listen. I already tried convincing her to stay."

"Yeah, but did you tell her how you felt?"

"Well... no. Not exactly."

"Listen, I have practice with Myra in a few minutes. I actually should head over now with Ben. But after that, you should talk to her. Get her alone, and just have a conversation with her."

"How do I do that?"

"Just speak from the heart, Cole. Tell her how you feel. The best chance you have with her staying after the quest is with letting out your emotions to her. Trust me, Cole. She may seem hard as a rock from the outside, but she's still a girl. She's more emotional than you may think." He thought for a second.

"Yeah, ok I'll do it. Tonight. Thanks, Rose."

"No problem, Cole." Just as I said that, Ben came walking up to us.

"Hey guys! What's up?" Ben greeted us cheerfully.

"Just talking. What about you?" I asked.

"Well, I saw Myra at the arena with a dummy and her sword just now. I think we should be heading over to train a bit with her."

"Ok, lets go. And Cole? Don't forget what I said!" I yelled as I walked off with Ben.

"What was that all about?" Ben asked as we continued to walk, getting farther away from Cole.

"Nothing to worry about." I said as a matter of factly.

"If you say so." He said in an agreeing tone seemingly brushing it off.
