Nathan's POV:

I woke up in my cabin to my sister Katie's voice. She told me to get up before leaving to check on the strawberry fields outside. The sun blinded me temporarily as I stretched. I had been up all night perfecting that plant and today was the day we were leaving Camp. I thought about my talk with Rose last night. Whether I liked it or not I had to have a talk with Cole. I got changed and packed a bag for the trip, leaving it on my bed to pick up later. I left my cabin and walked over to Rose's, knowing that's where everyone else slept last night. I cringed at the memory of seeing Myra and Cole fast asleep on the chair together. Reaching the door, I shook away the memories. As I was about to walk in, Rose and Ben opened it.

"Oh! Hey Nathan." Ben greeted.

"Hey... Is Myra up?" I asked, trying to look past him into the room. It was Rose who replied to me.

"No not yet. We're going to get some breakfast if you want to join."

"No, that's fine. Thanks." I said, trying to keep my voice down.

"Alright. We'll see you in a bit then." Rose and Ben left. I debated on going in or not to wake Myra up for a few minutes before finally going inside. I regretted the decision when I saw her smiling in her sleep, cuddled up by Cole's side. I didn't want her to wake up and find me staring like this either. Or even worse, having Cole wake up and see. I walked up to Myra and shook her slightly, trying to wake her up without waking up Cole.

"Myra? Could you get Cole up for me? I want to apologise to him before we leave..." I whispered.

"Yeah, of course. Wh-" she let out a yawn. "What time is it?"

"It's around eight. Ben and Rose just left to get food a few minutes ago. We were planning on leaving around ten." I watched Myra slowly take in my words and nod. It was obvious she wasn't a morning person. Which is contrary to how she acted in the castle.

"Okay. Now go outside and knock on the door in like two minutes because Cole's crazy protective of me. If he finds out you were here talking to me beforehand, apologising won't be worth it." She instructed tiredly. I nodded and went outside, softly shutting the door behind me. I listened and heard a muffled conversation. I waited a minute or two before knocking. Myra opened the door.

"Hey... uhh... Could I talk to Cole?" I asked, starting to feel unsure of myself.

"Nope." Cole glared at me and came over to Myra, wrapping an arm around her. I refrained myself from rolling my eyes at him.

"Yes. Cole, I'll go get us breakfast. You'll be civilized for me, won't you?" Myra pleaded.

"I don't have anything to say to him." He snapped. I took a step forward into the room and was about to speak. Myra cut me off.

"Yes you do. You can apologize for yelling. Nathan, if he gives you any trouble, don't be afraid to tell me." Myra said, giving him a stern look.

"But Myra I-" Cole started to protest and I kind of wanted to join him. Maybe this wasn't a good idea...

"Badger I'll be back in ten minutes with food for both of us. Now behave." Before I could back out, Myra slipped past me and shut the door behind her. I was now trapped in the room with Cole, who looked pissed.

"I... I came to apologize for yesterday." I cursed myself for stuttering. I squared my shoulders and attempted to look Cole in the eye. He was still a few inches taller than me though.

"You should be apologizing to Myra." He growled, crossing his arms.

"She had equal responsibility. I didn't force her to take it." I snapped back. I couldn't believe him. Myra had obviously been at least partially at fault and he refused to see it! He acted like she couldn't do anything wrong!

"You still left her without telling anyone!" Cole yelled, getting angrier by the second. I calmed myself down and decided to do this reasonably.

"Cole, that plant takes ten minutes before its effects kick in. She had time to tell any of you if she wanted to. That was her decision. Not mine." Cole clenched his fists in anger and took a step closer to me. He was obviously trying to scare me, but I refused to back down.

"You put her in danger! You didn't even give her a reason! You left her alone! What if she wandered off?! If that plant was going to last her the night then it wouldn't wear off for hours! She could've gotten lost! Or hurt! Or... or worse!" Cole got choked up towards the end. I felt a little bad for him, but I still didn't feel like he should be blaming me for everything.

"Cole she wouldn't have run off. She never leaves your side. All she does is talk about you." I tried to keep the bitterness out of my voice, but Cole seemed to detect it anyways.

"Are you... jealous?" His eyes widened in realization. He scowled at me.

"No! Of course not! Myra is your girlfriend." I protested, trying to calm him down. Cole looked dangerously hostile now.

"In the castle she was yours. You kissed her! You knew I loved her and you kissed her anyways!" Cole ranted. He suddenly punched me in the stomach. I doubled over, groaning in pain and swearing under my breath.

"I'm sorry, Cole. I-I wasn't thinking. She was just so scared all the time. Tired and scared. Myra had it way worse than the others. She never said anything, but you could see it." Cole's expression softened and I had to physically stop myself from sighing in relief. "I don't feel that way anymore, Cole... She's happy with you. We both want her to be happy don't we?" I scratched the back of my neck and watched him nervously. Cole nodded his head at me.

"Yeah... I'm sorry too. For punching you and stuff. Just don't ever pull anything like that again." Cole gave me a menacing glare. I wasn't quite sure why Myra seemed to think he was harmless. Cole was a lot bigger than me and could definitely pack a punch. I was still holding an arm over my stomach protectively. It hurt like hell.

"I won't." We stood in silence for a few minutes before I started talking again. "The plant... the one I gave to Myra. I perfected it last night. I convinced one of my siblings to help me out. She'll be safe to take it now. No side effects." I could feel the tension in the air starting to disperse.

"You're sure?" He asked.

"Positive."

"Good. Thank you." We lapsed into an awkward silence again. I broke it after a few moments.

"I should go get ready before we leave."

"Good idea. I'll see you in awhile then." Cole said dismissively. It was obvious he had started thinking about something else. I almost asked what it was, but I decided not to push my luck. My stomach still hurt from that punch.

"Yeah. Bye, Cole." I left Rose's Cabin quickly. Things with Cole had been resolved with only a minor injury. I wasn't going to tell Myra about it though. Now that the situation was fixed, I could suck it up so I didn't cause any more problems. I walked to the dining pavilion to get some breakfast. As I walked there, Myra bolted past me with two plates in hand. I don't think she saw me. Once I got to the pavilion I realized why she was running. Rose and Ben were quietly talking at a table. Ben was red faced and it looked like he'd been crying. "Oh gods... Myra what did you do this time?" I mumbled. I decided to just go sit with my siblings since I wouldn't be seeing them for a long time. Unfortunately, I was going to have to get used to the chaos Myra seemed to leave in her wake.
