Myra's POV:
My meeting with Khione had been short and painful. Khione had forced me to suffer through a few "training exercises" before talking to me. She had agreed to let us in the easy way because she still believed I was going to peacefully rot in her castle for the rest of my life. So when Rose woke me up in a rather unpleasant manner from an actual deep sleep instead of fighting for my life, I was righteously angry. I attempted to impale her with an ice spike, but only a few snowflakes came forth, embarrassing me further. I was too weak to conjure up anything remotely scary or harmful. I settled for loudly swearing instead. Both Ben and Rose seemed to find this amusing.
"YOU LITTLE SHÎTŠ!" I screeched and shot upwards. I still wasn't feeling good and sitting up that fast made my head spin, but I ignored it. Instead I glared furiously at Ben and Rose. I started squeezing the water Rose had dumped on me out of my hair. If I didn't control ice, I would probably be freezing right now. Don't get me wrong, I was fully capable of feeling cold, but I wasn't going to catch a cold from it.
"Hey hey! It was the only way to wake you up without physically hurting you! We already tried shaking you awake and that didn't work. Be happy you actually woke up." She laughed, sounding a bit relieved, and I pouted angrily.
"Well my pride is hurt." I scoffed and crossed my arms. Rose rolled her eyes in reply.
"What did Khione say? What happened?" I flinched a little at the mention of her name.
"She's letting us pass through."
"Ok that's good... anything else?"
"Nothing." I decided not to mention the training she made me go through. It was only going to stress them out more and I was pretty sure physical wounds wouldn't transfer over... Right?
"Ok, well I guess that's a good thing. I think you should rest for the rest of the day and then we'll head up tonight. It'll benefit you in the long run, trust me." I simply nodded my head in reply, not wanting to upset her any further. She walked over to her bag with Ben following at her heels.
I leaned back against the tree and fought off another wave of dizziness. Once I was sure they were out of sight I fully sat up and looked over my arm, hoping the pain was just residue from my dreams. It wasn't. A bunch of deep cuts ran up and down my arms and legs. I sighed and looked around for my bag. I noticed the sound of paper crinkling when I moved around. I looked down and saw the picture Cole had drawn me with blood smeared all over it. I bit my lip to prevent myself from yelling and carefully unraveled it. My hands shook as I looked it over. My face was now obscured by a large bloodstain. I hissed through gritted teeth and folded it up again. I laid back down again to hide any sign of the bleeding.
"Hey, Rose?" I called out nervously. She looked up from whatever she was doing. Ben had disappeared, presumably to get food.
"Yeah?"
"Uhh... Do you know where my bag is?"
"Yeah I have it, why?"
"I just needed to get something from it."
"What is it? I'll grab it for you."
"No, that's really not necessary. I can get it myself. I just need my bag." Rose walked over with my bag.
"Myra, are you trying to hide something from me? Why do you need this bag so badly? What happened?"
"I just want to put that piece of paper back inside... It's kind of important to me." I forgot about the blood on it and looked over at it from where I was laying down.
