Rose's POV:

Just as I started the fire after gathering wood into a pile, Ben came back with three rabbits. I was surprised he got so many so fast, but thought nothing of it since I was too hungry for thoughts. He held them up with a wide smile. "Proud of me, babe?" I laughed and nodded approvingly.

"Very, I'm starving. Myra definitely is too." I glanced over at her seeing she had fallen asleep again. I rolled my eyes jokingly. "Sleepy, hungry. It's all the same." He chuckled, pulling out his knife and then he started to prepare the rabbits to be cooked. Altogether, the food was finished and ready to be eaten in a little over a half an hour. "I'm gonna go wake Myra now." I told Ben. As I started to turn around, my heart literally stopped. Myra was waiting directly behind me and all she said was "food."

"You nearly gave me a heart attack what the heck is wrong with you!?"

"Revenge for the water. Now, where's the food at?"

"Gods," I took a breath, "it's right here." I finished talking and then I handed her some.

"About time." She said taking a seat in front of Ben and I.

"Yeah yeah, just eat up." And with that, we all started eating. After a while Myra spoke up.

"Ok I'm full. I'm going back to sleep now, losers." She said beginning to stand up.

"Alright, we'll be here if you need us, though I doubt you will."

"What exactly would I need you guys for? You gonna tuck me into bed? Maybe read me a story?" She asked sarcastically.

"I'm not here to judge if that's what you need me to do, Myra." I said shrugging.

"I said we were friends, not best friends. You don't have the privilege of reading me a story yet." I let out a laugh. She did as well.

"Alright, go to bed. I'm tired of seeing your face." I said jokingly. I smiled and she let out a small laugh before glaring at me and then walking away. When she was in her sleeping bag, I turned to look at Ben seeing as he had a weird expression on his face. I was very confused at this to say the least. "What's your problem?" I asked.

"How are you still alive after saying that?" I had forgotten that Ben wasn't there for the conversation I had with Myra. I smiled a bit and then began speaking.

"Oh yeah, Myra and I are kinda friends now." He still looked at me shockingly and didn't say a word. "What now?" I asked getting slightly annoyed.

"Well... Myra isn't exactly the type of person to let people in that easily. Especially since she didn't really like you at first." I was a little hurt at his words, but he was right.

"Well that's not exactly my fault, Ben. And thanks for believing in me too, that just makes me feel so fantastic about myself." I turned away from his gaze and pushed around the scraps of food I had left in front of me.

"Hey, I didn't mean it like that... Rose, look at me? Please?" I was angry that his words affected me so much and looked him directly in the eye. Stupid charmspeak. I remembered another thing from our conversation that I was most definitely going to talk about now.

"What happened to Cass, Ben." I said as a command more than a question. He looked at me shocked, yet again.

"W-what do you mean?" I glared at him.

"You know what I mean, Ben."

"Well..." He trailed off beginning to wander away from my gaze.

"Ben. Tell me. Now." He didn't speak for a moment and then began to let everything out.
