Rose's POV:

It was about time we started heading towards the entrance Nathan had told us to go through. Cole was more than ready to see Myra and was about to take the lead when I stopped him. I told him I should take the lead because if we get ahead of ourselves we might accidentally get caught or hurt and we didn't want that. We wanted to get in and out with as much ease as possible. He nodded, annoyed, but let me follow willingly. We made it to the entrance in a matter of about ten minutes. Once we stepped in, we stayed as silent as possible, our weapons in hand in case of imminent combat. Then, we heard it. A girl, screaming at the top of her lungs as if in pain. Something was off, it was definitely Myra, but it didn't seem right. Why would Khione, or anyone else for that matter, be hurting her? She was, apparently, a leader of an army and respected. This had to be a sick trick. But, Cole felt that it was real because he went sprinting towards the sound. He had previously memorized the map so that Ben and I could just look at it for reassurance when he led us to where we needed to go. We ran after him yelling in an attempt to stop him. But he was way too fast for us, so we just followed, hoping not to lose him. We made it to the arena. There, there were kids all over the place. And then, we saw Myra. She was standing on a box but hopped off of it. She was talking to a red haired girl and Nathan. Cole was about to run over to her, but I grabbed his hand. "Cole, stay here. She'll probably see us and come over. Plus, Nathan told us not to do anything stupid, remember?"

"But she's right there!" He said urgently.

"Just wait." Ben commanded him, and he stayed. We waited and then, she saw us. She was immediately furious. She didn't seem anything like the old Myra. Her face showed exhaustion and pain. She's been changed, and not for the better.

"I want everyone out! Except Nathan and Viper!" Myra yelled angrily. Most of the demigods cleared out immediately, but one little boy stayed by her side. "Knox, I said get out!" She snapped, glaring at him. The boy did not move.

"I can help!" He protested with a small yell.

"You know what? I'm sick of this." The girl with the bright red hair said, annoyed. She walked over to Myra's side, and with one rapid movement, pulled out a dagger and slashed the boy's arm. He screamed in pain.

"Viper! What are you thinking!? The poison! Get the ambrosia now!" Myra yelled at the girl, Viper. Viper didn't obey and simply stood there, "admiring" her work. She seemed vicious.

"He was spoiled and obnoxious." She spat.

"He is not! We can-no... I can still save him!" Myra picked up the child and sprinted. Cole stepped in front of her with his ambrosia in hand.

"Myra I need you to remember me, okay? It's me, Myra. You've gotta trust me." She was hesitant but slightly nodded and handed over the boy. She watched him with the boy and paced around worriedly.

"If you hurt Knox I swear to the gods I'll kill you and whoever the hell Myra is." Cole ignored her and rapidly, yet caringly, worked on the boy, in an attempt to save him.

"Ben, she may come with us if Cole saves him." He nodded.

"She cares about that kid... he probably reminds her of Cass. He reminds me..." he stopped in thought. He was sad, but happy to see the boy that made Myra happy. Cass was gone, but the boy was there. And he meant a lot to her.

"Snowflake, you need to calm down alright? I'm sure we can talk to them and get this done peacefully." Nathan rested an arm on Myra's shoulder, trying to get her to talk this out so she'd come with us peacefully.

"Viper kill the girl. I'll fight Ben. Nathan finish off... the blond after he saves Knox. And make his death quick. If he's helping Knox then he shouldn't have to be in pain for long." Viper nodded and looked at me with a wicked smile on her face. Fear rose in my body, but I gripped my weapon tightly, ready to fight. I looked at Ben and he whispered "it'll be ok, I won't let anything happen to you." I nodded.
