Damian's POV:

"Come on, lazy! You gotta get up sometime!" Shadow shook me playfully. I slowly opened my eyes to see her face a few inches away from mine. Before I could say anything she started to kiss me. I sat up, gripping tightly onto her shoulders. Shadow teased me repeatedly, biting at my bottom lip and then closing her mouth and pulling away. "You awake now?" She asked.

"Yeah..." I sighed, disappointed she had pulled away from me. Hopefully we'd make it out of here together so I could spend everyday freely with her.

"Awe, Damian! Pouting again?" Shadow cooed, squishing my cheeks.

"I'm not!" I protested, but it came out more like a whine. Shadow simply smirked at me and raised an eyebrow.

"Corbyn and Walker already went to go see Myra. So you have to hurry up. We'll finish this later, okay?" Shadow winked at me, and before I could respond, she left the room. I stretched and sluggishly got ready before dragging myself to the kitchen. After an unimpressive bowl of cereal, I made my way to Will's lab. He was already waiting outside for me with a syringe in hand. I jogged up to him and gave him a quick nod.

"Sorry I'm late." I said, clearing my throat.

"It's alright, Damian. Here's the syringe for Myra. Could you just make sure she remembers me and you?" Will asked, biting his lip and handing me the syringe. I didn't answer for a moment, confused.

"Remembers us? Why wouldn't she?" I asked, giving him a weird look.

"It's... It's from whatever happened to her before. The treatment is acting like a catalyst for it. Corbyn and Walker have been trying to make sure she remembers everything about her past, but we've gotta make sure she understands the present too." Will stated grimly. I sighed and ran a hand through my hair, trying to wrap my head around this.

"I'll hurry then. Thanks, Will." I muttered a quick goodbye and started walking to Myra's cell. She was forgetting things now? The treatment already made her vulnerable and gullible, but with no memories... Olthen would have no problem deceiving her. I was used to the dim lighting in the hallway, but not the silence that accompanied it. When Corbyn and Walker were with Myra there was usually some kind of laughter, or at least speaking going on. I picked up the pace until I was at Myra's cell. "Myra?" I called out, not seeing her. None of them were there. "Myra?!" I called out louder, starting to panic. I unlocked her cell and practically tore it apart looking for her. "Myra! Myra, this isn't funny!" I yelled. If Myra was here she'd respond. She doesn't know any better not to. Only silence ensued. "Gods... Olthen." I mumbled, running down the hallway with the syringe clutched in my sweaty hand. I bolted to Corbyn and Walker's room. They'd been sharing one since Olthen found out they were best friends. He said it saved space. I pounded on the door. "Corbyn! Walker! Get out here now! It's an emergency!" I pounded on the door again, almost punching Walker as he opened it a crack and stuck his head out.

"Damian? What's wr-" I cut him off immediately.

"Myra's missing! I think Olthen got to her. He must've gone to check on her and realized how vulnerable she is! We've gotta figure something out-" Walker laughed. I scowled at him in reply.

"Damian, calm down. Don't be mad." Walker gave me a sheepish grin. I was about to reply, but a voice from inside the room spoke instead.

"Walker? Is that Damian? I wanna see Damian! Can he stay with us too? Please?" It was Myra. She wasn't with Olthen at least. I let out a sigh of relief before anger overtook me. I shot a furious glare at Walker, who then tried to shut the door on me. I stopped it with my foot.

"Uhh... I'll see, Myra." Walker mumbled in reply to her. He opened the door and I pushed past him, trying to contain my anger. Myra was sitting on one of their beds, reading a book with Corbyn next to her. I realized, once I calmed down a bit, that Corbyn and Walker hadn't gotten their face paint on yet, which also concerned me... She looked absolutely excited to see me.

"Damian! I missed you!" She yelled loudly, putting down her book and tackling me in a hug. I stumbled back a bit in surprise. Myra squeezed me tightly until Corbyn intervened.

"Come on, Myra. I'm pretty sure Damian can't breathe." He joked. Myra let me go with a pout.

"S-Sorry Damian... I didn't mean t-to hurt you..." Myra's eyes were watering.

"No! I'm fine! Don't cry!" I panicked. Corbyn stifled a laugh and took over for me.

"Why don't you go back to reading while Walker and I talk to Damian? You can spend time with him after, okay, sis?" He soothed, giving her a slight push back towards the bed. Myra nodded, starting to smile again, before she sat back down on the bed, picking up the book. I turned my attention back to Corbyn and Walker, who were now standing next to each other in front of me.

"You guys know she can't be out of her cell! If Olthen finds out, all of us die and they don't stand a chance of getting out of here!" I scolded quietly, making sure Myra couldn't hear me.

"Damian she was crying again this morning and begged us to see Cole. She needs to move around a bit. It's not hurting anyone. Besides, Olthen doesn't check on the prisoners until Will tells him the treatment is fully working. As far as Olthen knows, Myra's still in the resistance stage." Walker shot back, gesturing to Myra, who had wrapped a blanket around herself while she read.

"Honestly, Damian. She's quiet, contained, and happy for the first time since she got here." Corbyn added, crossing his arms.

"Walker? I want a hug!" Myra whined, looking up at us.

"Of course, sis!" Walker smiled brightly and left Corbyn and I, pulling Myra into a bear hug.

"Wait, why're you two calling her that?" I asked, turning to face Corbyn.

"She said we were like her big brothers earlier. We've heard her life story like five times now. She needs a good family." Corbyn said quietly, staring at Walker and Myra.

"That's... surprisingly mature of you." I replied. Corbyn shot me a grin and made gagging noises in response. I rolled my eyes at him.

"You do realize you need to bring her back." I sighed and shoved my hands into my pockets. I looked away from Corbyn and back at Myra.

"Just let her stay with us for today. We'll bring her back before dinner. She needs some time out of that cell." Corbyn spoke earnestly.

"It's too dangerous. Not when we're just a few days away from our plan." I shook my head, trying not to relent.

"She's staying with us for today." Walker looked over at me, still hugging Myra. I was about to speak, but Walker cut me off. "Corbyn. Just tell him what happened. Step out of the room or something." He sighed before turning away from Corbyn and me. I looked at Corbyn, expecting him to protest or have a small smirk. Maybe this was a prank? Corbyn wasn't smiling for once, his expression serious. He wordlessly walked to the door and I followed him, the two of us stepping outside the room. Once I shut the door, Corbyn starting talking.

"She forgot her name today." He stated quietly. "She wasn't even sure who Walker and I were at first. We had to tell her about her own life story. She remembered pretty quickly afterwards, but... gods Damian. We don't have much time. She's scared too. When she remembers she gets scared and then she cries and asks for Cole. What are we supposed to do? Sit there and watch?" Corbyn spoke bitterly and clenched his fists so tightly that his knuckles started turning white.

"I guess... I guess if you started taking her for the day it wouldn't hurt. Just keep her in there until I can give her the placebo and take her back after dinner. Do not let yourselves get caught. She'll be in just as much, if not more, trouble than us if Olthen finds out." I warned. Corbyn's familiar smirk came back.

"Me? Get caught? We'll be fine." He smiled in victory.

"On the day of the plan you have to keep her in her cell. And also, get your face paint on, we can only really afford one risk today." I ordered.

"Obviously." Corbyn rolled his eyes at me, walking back inside the room. Myra perked up again at the sight of us, demanding hugs from Corbyn and I. Corbyn smirked and made eye contact with Walker, giving him a quick nod. I hugged Myra quickly and left to go train with Olthen. Hopefully I wouldn't regret letting those two keep her out of her cell.
