Rose's POV:

Running. That's all I remembered. Myra didn't take my help, we all could've gotten out but she... she hesitated. I got cuts all over my body, some not too bad. But a good amount were deep gashes. I'd need stitches, but if we could get to the lake before I lost too much blood, I knew I'd be fine. Ben didn't get too beaten up, which was good. He carried me all the way down the mountain to Lake Superior. He didn't want me to lose too much blood on the way down so he held a piece of cloth on some on the wounds while he ran down. We fought until the end. Once we got to the lake, he practically threw me in, not worrying about the Sirens. He said something about murdering all of the sirens before they could even think about getting to me. Thankfully, before we got close to the lake, Ben had us put wax in our ears. With haste, of course. Once I was one hundred percent, we went to a tree not too far from the edge of the water to rest. I patched Ben up a bit. Thankfully, only one deep gash was visible on his arm. I wrapped it up tightly as he groaned in pain. The blood from his gash seemed to be ok for the time being, but we needed to get back to camp soon for Will to stitch it up. We sat down in silence for a bit, I looked around realizing I had Myra's bag. I immediately opened it and found some ambrosia. I handed it to Ben, he already knew what it was and took two small bites, handing it back to me. I put it away and stared at him. "I can't believe she did this without even thinking about telling us! She knew for a fact that Khione wouldn't have let us leave that easily! I-I-" Ben cut me off, seeing I was getting worked up and on the verge of tears.

"Hey, I know how you feel. I'm kinda feeling the same thing right now. But all we can really do is get back to camp, get better and get some serious rest and then we'll come back to get her. Simple as that."

"When you put it like that, yeah it does sound simple. But the only way we even got in was because of Myra. That entire castle is heavily guarded. I will go back to save her, but I'm not too sure we'll be able to get out alive even if we are able to get in." I said sadly.

"Well we have to try. Let's change the subject, my mind hurts. And my heart." I gasped after a minute of thinking.

"What?! What's wrong?" Ben asked worried. I could see him start to tense up.

"What's Cole going to say when Myra doesn't come back!? He's going to be heart broken! He's going to want to go to that castle and save her, Ben what're we gonna do!? We can't just let him go! He's gonna get himself killed! Ben what do we do!?" He sighed loudly and ran his fingers slowly through his thick, black hair.

"We'll cross that bridge when we get to it. You should probably tell him, but I don't know. Whoever gets to him first. But, Rose?"

"Yeah, Ben?"

"I-" he waited a bit but I simply looked at him patiently and waited for him to finish. "Uh... we should get going. Waiting here won't work in our favor." I nodded in agreement and grabbed Myra's bag and my own. Before I could get anywhere, Ben grabbed Myra's bag and swung it over his shoulder and gave me a smirk. We walked beside each other in silence. There was nothing more to say.

For a while, I kept wondering about Myra. I wondered why she would put us in a position like that after everything we've been through. She told me we were friends and then when we're finally on good terms, she pulls some crap like this? I don't know if she just has trust issues and was actually lying to me the entire time or what. It may sound crazy, but I will go back for her. I need to know what's going on. Plus, I promised her I'd come back if something like this happened. And I wouldn't only be getting answers for myself or Ben, but for Cole. Cole needs closure if something seriously is wrong with Myra. I'll get the truth to come out one way or another. It always seems to reveal itself. That's one of the things I love about the truth. You can trust it. Unlike some people...
