Regrets

The Plan

Leo hummed to Wings by Little Mix as she showered. It had been almost a week since she had told April about her pregnancy and things were kind of quiet. She was now six months pregnant and there was a definite baby bump now and she rubbed it gently, hoping to feel a kick, but nothing happened.

She sighed and got out the shower.

After wrapping herself in a warm fluffy towel she walked out of the bathroom and heard her parents talking about something downstairs, but she couldn't make it out.

She just headed into her room to get ready for bed...

The next day was a rainy Saturday. Raph was sat with his family for lunch, bored out of his mind, waiting for Leo to call him.

"Raphael! Stop sulking and eat!" Yoshi glared at his eldest son.

Raph groaned before stabbing his food with his folk and stuffing it in his mouth. Suddenly something was pushed through the letterbox. Raph went to see what it was and saw it was the newspaper for his high school.

Every Saturday the students were mail a copy of the paper about the news from Friday.

"What's that?" Donnie asked when he saw the paper in Raph's hands. Raph just shrugged as he opened the newspaper on the front page.

His eyes widened and he dropped the newspaper...

That night Leona came downstairs and saw her parents stood and the foot of the stairs, waiting for her.

"What's wrong?" She asked nervously.

"Don't be nervous." Tigerclaw smiled weakly. "Your mother has come up with a plan, designed to give you your life back."

"What is it? And what do you mean give me my life back?"

"When a girl your age has a baby her teenage years go out the window. She's tied to a house with a baby who needs changing and feeding all the time." Alopex explained.

"I know all that but it's too late now, I've gotta have it."

"Not if I have it for you." Alopex smiled and Leo looked at her in confusion. "The idea is that before anyone else realises you're pregnant, we go to Japan."

"Except me." Tigerclaw added.

"You, me and Gran go to Japan, you have the baby and then we come back, but everyone else will think that it's mine and I'm the one who's given birth. Then we'll bring it up here as mine and Tigerclaw's and you can get on with your life, like it was before."

"But Dad can't have children." Leo pointed out.

"Yes, but we will tell people that we used IVF by donor to have a baby, no one will dought it. So what do you think?" Tigerclaw asked.

"I-I-!"

Suddenly something was pushed through the letterbox and Leo quickly went to get it. It was the school paper. Leo opened and her heart dropped into her chest. She almost fell to her knees as she dropped the paper.

Her parents were by her side in a second.

As her mother tried to comfort her daughter Tigerclaw picked up the paper and he sighed as he read the front page.
