After the terrible performance April's mother put on Casey went back home and Tigerclaw's parents got on the next plane back to Japan. It was almost midnight and Leona was sat all alone in the kitchen. She couldn't sleep and for once it wasn't because of Yuki's crying.

Suddenly the kitchen flooded with light and she flinched as her eyes adjusted.

When her eyes recovered she saw Kitsune standing in the doorway.

"What's wrong flower?" She asked quietly as she took a seat next to her granddaughter.

"Is it true?"

"Is what true?"

"What April's mom said, is it true that Mom and Dad would of made me have an abortion if it wasn't too late?" She frowned. There was a long moment of silence before Kitsune sighed.

"Honestly, yes." She replied. "I think that if they had caught it in time they would have made you have an abortion."

"But why?" Leo sniffed as her eyes began to sting with tears. Kitsune quickly pulled her into a hug.

"I guess they were just worried about you." She sighed. "They were probably worried that if you had Yuki you would of had to drop out of school, lost your social life etc."

"And now? Do they still wish I hadn't had Yuki?"

"I honestly do not know what they're thinking right now, little flower." Kitsune replied. "But I know one thing for certain, now that Yukiko is here I can't imagine life without her." She smiled before giving Leo a kiss on the forehead and going up to bed...

When morning came Leona decided to take Yuki for a walk. It was snowing very lightly and Leo hummed a little lullaby as she pulled the stroller down the street. She looked up to see Kirby O'Neil, April's father, walking up to her.

She slowed to a stop and they smiled to each other.

"Morning Leona, is that little Yuki?" He smiled and he looked in the stroller. Yuki was quietly sat in the stroller looking around with wide eyes. "She's looking great, Leona."

"Yeah, she's been up half the night." She yawned.

"Usually the way, let me see if I've got a quarter for her." He said opened his wallet. "It's for luck."

"Thank you." She smiled as Kirby handed her a quarter.

"Begging now, are we?" A cold voice mocked behind her. They turned around and saw Blanche walking up to them.

"What's your problem Blanche, I was just wishing the baby luck." Kirby glared.

"Well she'll need it and I'm only saying what everyone else is thinking." She huffed.

"Speak for yourself." He debunked as Yuki whimpered. Blanche looked at the baby and glared at Leo.

"She'll cry a lot."

"Yeah, well, she does with people she doesn't like so I best be off before she starts." Leo smirked before walking away.

"Well I don't about you Blanche, but with a mother like that, I'd say the baby has nothing to worry about." He smiled before leaving the old salamander alone in the snow...

When Leo got home it was just her and Alopex in the house. As the mutant fox was making some lunch as Leo breastfed Yuki. Just as Yuki was done eating the doorbell rang.

She froze when she saw April standing nervously on her door step in the snow.

After a moment she smiled weakly and motioned for her to come inside.

"Hello April." Alopex frowned and crossed her arms when she saw the human girl.

"I've come to apologise about yesterday." She said nervously.

"I should hope so, you helped make a complete mockery of the whole day."

"Stop it, Mom, it wasn't her fault."

"I didn't mean to cause any trouble."

"You had no right turning up to be Yukiko's godmother when your mother had absolutely forbidden it." Alopex argued.

"It had nothing to do with her, Leo's my friend and she asked me!" April exclaimed. "My Mom just keeps going on about how I'm going to catch something off her, enough people have been cruel to Leo, why should I have to join in? She my best friend, what would you do?"

Leo smiled at her friend as Alopex sighed.

"Well I'd hope I'd defend my friend." She smiled before going into the kitchen to finish with lunch...
