Regrets

Merry Christmas!

Everyone in the Saiyo house were rushing around trying to getting everything ready. Alopex and Tigerclaw were trying to get the dinner ready while Leo was trying to keep her two year old daughter away from the presents while Kitsune was sat down drinking a sherry.

It was finally Christmas!

"I swear I need to strap that girl down to something." Leo groaned as she carried Yuki away from the presents once again while the little thrashed around in her arms. Her mother just laughed as she set the table.

"So who's coming?" Leo asked her.

"Well, I'm sure Raph will stop by but I don't think he'll stay and I know Adam's coming around, says he's got some presents for us." She smiled. In the past year Adam had become almost part of the family and was a regular babysitter for Yuki, he also spent time with Alopex and Kitsune.

"Uncy Adum!" Yuki cheered when she heard his name.

Leo and Alopex giggled at Yuki while Tigerclaw huffed. Out of all the family he was the only one who didn't really like Adam Oscars. Nowadays, it seemed that every time Alopex or Leona had a problem they would go to Adam instead of him and he hated it.

"Is he staying?" He asked.

"I don't know but I'm planning on asking him to stay." She replied. Just then there was a knock on the door and Raph came inside holding a nicely wrapped box for Yuki.

"Da!" Yuki laughed and waddled over to her father, who scooped her up and gave her a big kiss on the cheek.

"Hey there princess, look what Daddy got ya." He smiled and gave her the gift before putting her down. She quickly ripped the wrapping paper off and pulled out a pink fairy princess costume.

"What do you say?" Leo smiled when she saw the happy look on Yuki's face.

"Thank you." She babbled, but kept her attention on the costume.

"Do you want to put it on, Tenshi?" Kitsune asked and she nodded with a big smile on her face. Kitsune picked her up on the costume before heading upstairs.

"So, are you staying?" Leo asked Raph. Over the past two years the two of them had former a sort of frenemies relationship with each other.

"If ya want me ta stay sure, my Dad and the others are in Japan this Christmas, but my Dad said I couldn't go with them 'cause of my crap grades so I'm home alone." He shrugged. Then there was a knock on the door again and Adam stepped in with five large presents.

"Oh my Gods Adam!" Alopex exclaimed. "You didn't have to do all this."

"Of course I did, here you go." He grinned and passed each member of the Saiyo family a present. Just then Kitsune came back down stairs with Yuki following her.

"Awww, you look beautiful!" Leo cried as her daughter waved her wand around and did a little twirl. "Look what Uncle Adam's brought for you." She smiled and handed her a present.

She quickly opened it and pulled out a personalised, pink, fluffy elephant. Yuki babbled happily as she played with all her gifts. She had been spoiled a lot the Christmas.

So far she had gotten: a toy dressing table with a mirror, a doll with a pram, a toy kitchen, a large play tent, a tricycle, some new clothes and a Disney princess dollhouse.

Alopex had gotten: a PANDORA daughter's love charm, an engraved trinket box with the word 'Mother' carved into it, a love knot ring, a coffee mug that read 'World's Best Grandma and she got a personalised, silver plated rose from Adam.

Tigerclaw was given: A wooden grandparent coaster, new cuff-links, a poem from Kitsune, a new watch and a pint glass from Adam.

Kitsune had been given: a silver PANDORA family tree necklace, a new Japanese tea set and a soft watercolour lantern from Adam.

Leona was also given: new clothes, makeup and some expensive jewellery from Adam.

"Who's that?" Raph whispered to Leo while Adam was talking to Alopex.

"That's one of my Mom's friends and he's very good at babysitting Yuki." She smiled as their daughter showed Kitsune all her gifts. "He brings her a new gift every time he babysits, usually something small like some new clothes."

Raph hummed as he kept looking over at Adam with a slight glare...

"Well that was fun." Alopex smiled as she and Tigerclaw cleaned away the remains of the Christmas dinner. Adam and Raphael had left nearly three hours ago but Leo and her family had spent all that time trying to get Yuki out of her new fairy costume.

Every time they tried to take it off she would throw a huge tantrum until she finally tired herself out.

Leo had managed to peel the dress of her and tucked the little on into her crib. The family had been talking about getting her a bed but those things weren't cheap.

After putting all of Yuki's new toys away she went to bed herself and Kitsune followed not long after.

"Yeah, I still can't believe how much toys Yukiko's gotten this year." Tigerclaw chuckled.

"It was really nice of Adam to get up all those gifts."

"Nothing new there, he's always buying Yukiko gifts." He glared.

"What's your problem now?" She sighed, his behaviour was driving her nuts.

"You keep talking about Adam Oscars like he can do no wrong, like he's the prefect man yet all he does is spend money on stuff for our granddaughter!" He exclaimed to his wife. "Don't you think I would like to do that? But unlike him I don't have a well paying job and I can't lavish my family with everything they want!"

"I get it but taking your out on Adam isn't good!"

"I knew wouldn't understand! I'm going out!" He growled and stormed out the front door. Alopex sighed and put her face in her hands...
