Regrets

Late Part 2

Leona was completely hysterical. It was almost five in the afternoon now and there was still no sigh or word from Yukiko or Catherine anywhere. She and Raphael had no choice but to call the police.

"There must be somethin' more ya can do." Raph glared at the officer sat in front of them.

"We've checked all the hospitals and been over to the great-grandmother's house but there's no evidence at the moment to suggest that there's a real problem." The cop explained.

"What evidence do ya need?! Yuki should be here with her parents now!" He snarled and pointed to Leo. "Just look at her! Don't ya dare tell me there ain't a problem here!"

"I'm sorry but there's nothing more we can do at the moment."

"When." Leo finally said. "When can you do something?"

"24 hours; then we'll set all alarms off."...

After the officer had left Raph had decided to go out and look for them again. But he knew he couldn't leave his girlfriend on her own; so he called the only person who he believed could help her.

As he was getting ready to leave, the buzzer went off and Raph quickly buzzed the person up to their apartment. He opened the door and smiled weakly when he saw his mother standing in the door way.

"Oh sweetie, I can't stay long because your father will be back soon and you know what he's like about you and Leona." She sighed and he nodded before looking at Leo. The blue eyed teen was curled up on the couch, hugging a phone to her chest.

"Where are you going to look for them?"

"Everywhere." He glared before running out the door. Once he was gone, Shen sighed as she turned to young mother before going to sit next to her son's girlfriend.

"Leona, at times like this, a girl need her own mother." She said softly and handed her a tissue for her tears. "Alopex would be very upset that you haven't called her; she is your mother and Yukiko's grandmother."

"She'll only call Social Services again." She glared.

"What?" Shen asked in disbelief.

"She'll try and have Yuki taken away from me."

"Don't be silly, she's your mother, she'd never do that to you."

"She's already tried to." She sobbed and Shen pulled her into a hug...

Unfortunately Tang Shen couldn't stay long; she had to get back home before Yoshi got home and figure out she was over at Raph and Leo's apartment. The blue eye teenager was now all alone in the apartment.

Suddenly the buzzer went off and she let them up. When door opened Leo felt as if a giant weight had been lifted off her shoulders when she saw Catherine and little Yuki walk in with  big smiles on their faces.

"OH YUKI!!" She screamed as tears streamed down her face. She ran over and pulled her little girl into a hug.

"Yuki, why don't you should your Mommy what Santa gave you." Catherine smiled, but then she noticed the state Leo was in. "Leona? What on earth's going on honey?"

"Where have you been?!" She shouted as she sat down on the couch with Yuki safe in her arms.

"Your frightening the little one."

"She's my daughter!" She snarled.

"And my great-granddaughter; look, whatever's going on here, don't take it on on the young one."
