The next morning Alopex decided to speak to Kitsune. Her and Tigerclaw were upstairs when the older woman came down.
"Mother, can we talk." She asked, her voice full of sincerity.
"You said some horrible things to me last night, things that I really didn't deserve; I mean, I've never pretended to be a brilliant mother to you growing up but I thought at least I've tried to make it up to you these last 20 years and then you threw it back in my face." She glared as she sat at the table.
"I know and you have, I'm sorry Mother." Alopex replied. "If I could take back what I said I would, but I was so worried about Leona and you were there and you got the brunt of it, I'm sorry."
After a moment of silence Kitsune managed a small smile.
"So have you seen or heard from Leona?"
"No." She sighed.
"Daughters, hey?" Kitsune smirked. "Who would have them?"
This got Alopex and Tigerclaw laughing along with her.
"Look, I'm sure once she's slept on it Leona will-"
"She'll what?" Alopex cut off her husband. "Come around and apologise for telling me I can't she my own granddaughter?"
Kitsune and Tigerclaw sighed, they didn't know what to say.
"I gotta get to work." She sighed and left them alone in the kitchen...

Back and Leona and Raphael's apartment things weren't going much better. While Leo made they some breakfast Raph had to listen to her ranting about her mother.
"She is a vicious, crazy woman!" She exclaimed as she handed Raph his coffee. "I'm not surprised Dad almost left her, can you imagine being married to her?! If Adam hadn't of been such a psycho she'd of driven him mad as well!"
"Just give it time." Raph told her before stealing a slice of toast from her plate.
"Don't." Leo sighed. "Don't be all calming and sensible on me, I need you on my side." She told him with pleading eyes.
Then her face went stern.
"Promise me you won't let her in the apartment, promise me that you won't let her anywhere near Yuki!"
"OK, I promise."...

That afternoon Kitsune was home alone while Tigerclaw and Alopex were at work. She knew that Alopex was really cut up about calling Social Services and lying about Leo leaving Yuki alone but it was still wrong.
She wanted to speak to Leona but she knew that Alopex would interrogate her on how Leo and Yukiko were and if she didn't tell her it would her upset.
She was just think of what to make for dinner when the phone rang.
"Hello?" She smiled.
...
"No, sorry, she doesn't live here anymore, can I ask who's calling?"
...
"I see, well what's so important that you need to speak to her now?"
...
"Oh my Gods!!!"...

Back at the apartment April came over for a visit. Leo had gotta Raph to clean the place up while they had a girl chat.
"So is it true that your mother called Social Services?" She asked the teen turtle.
"Yeah, she thinks that Yuki's not safe with us and this is coming from the person who let a madman live with us." She glared. "Well she's not going near my daughter again."
"And how's Yuki taking it? I mean, it must be confusing to have someone you've know you're whole just disappear."
"Keeps askin' where grandma is." Raph called from the kitchen
"Is that so terrible?" April asked Leo.
"Well yeah it is when 'Grandma' is sticking the knife in! She's probably never off the phone to Social Services."
"I know that was well out of order but I'm sure she regrets it, she loves you and Yuki."
"April, I thought you just came over here for a friendly chat so can we please talk about something else?" Leo groaned.
"OK." April shrugged. "If you let your mother look after Yuki for a few hours here and there then you and Raph can spend some quality time together."
"Yeah and we barely get enough time ta ourselves anyway, we could use tha help." Raph added as he joined them.
"No." She refused point blank. "I am not leaving my daughter with the woman you tells Social Services I'm an unfit mother and I'm not having this conversation again!"
Before the conversation could get anymore out of hand the phone started to ring.
Leo gave her best friend and ex a quick glare before getting up to answer.
"Hello?" She sighed.
"Is this Leona Saiyo speaking?" A man on the other end of the phone asked.
"Yes, who is this?"
"I'm Elliot Jones, I'm a social worker who has taken up your case." He said and Leo's eyes widened in fear.
"Who is it?" Raph asked as he got up and stood next to her.
"Social Services." She whispered before putting the phone back to her ear. "What case?"
"From what I understand you're not eighteen yet so Social Services have to inform you about certain situations involving your family."
"I see, but why are you calling now, what situations?"
"I'm very sorry to tell you this Miss Saiyo, but I'm your mother has died."...
