Regrets

Panic!

Two weeks.

It was two weeks until the baby's due date and everyone were walking on eggshells. Leo was sat on the couch watching TV when April came in; the human girl had been coming around after school to spend time with her friend and to bring work she missed.

"Hey, guess what happened at my cousin's birthday yesterday." She smiled at the tired turtle teen.

"Hang on, tell me in my room." Leo said and she struggled to get up off the couch, her baby bump was now huge and her back was killing her. April quickly went to help her and they went into her room, once there they sat on her.

"So I bring Casey Jones to the party as my plus one and when we run in to my uncle he put out his hand and said 'How do you do', how embarrassing is that right?" April exclaimed.

"Well what did he do?"

"Casey had to shake his hand and then he says 'What kind of bands do you like?', so I went 'Uncle Rob, shut up,' but he didn't notice and then Casey started going on about his favourite band!"

"Why didn't you just take him up o your room?" Leo asked, but April looked away nervously.

"I'm not allowed to take boys up to my room anymore since..." She trailed off and looked at Leo's bump.

"Oh," Leo sighed. "Since I got pregnant."

There was a bit of an awkward silence until April started looking through all the baby stuff in her room. She smiled and held up the blanket Kitsune had made for Leo.

"Hey be carefully with that, Gran made it for me." Leo smiled, but April's heart melted when she held up one of the pairs of tiny socks.

"So what else have got?" She asked as she put them back, Leo pointed to the closet and when April opened it she saw shelves of baby clothes, bathroom stuff and bottles.

"When Dad finishes the nursery they'll move everything into there, which should be by tonight, most of it's practical stuff anyway. Oh! But I did get the baby this." She smiled and pulled out a yellow care bear teddy.

"Hey, if it's a girl you could get all your old dolls out and play together." April suggested as she sat back down. "Do you think you'll be more like friends? 'Cause there's not much age gap." She asked, but Leo just shrugged. "So are you going to be strict or cool?"

"I don't know."

"So your going to let her go out and go clubbing all night and then come home what ever time she wants?" She smirked.

"It might be a boy." Leo pointed out and April's smirk dropped.

"Oh yeah, so I guess you're going to be a soccer mom."

"If I have to."

"Are you going to check out all their friends and dates?" She chuckled.

"Yeah I'll probably have to say 'Hey, what's your favourite band?'." She laughed, but then she went quiet. "Hey, would like being it's aunt?" She asked nervously.

"Yeah! I can say things like 'Right, go wash your hands before your dinner'."

"Yeah and if it's gives you any trouble I can just say 'Hey! Listen to your Auntie April!'." She replied and the two girls burst out laughing.

"AH!" Leo suddenly cried out as she clutched her stomach.

"What's wrong!?" April panicked as she shot up from the bed.

"I-I don't know." She mumbled with wide eyes, hand still clutching the bump.

"I'm getting your mom." April and she quickly ran out the room...

Raph sighed as he slumped onto his bed.

He and his dad still weren't talking to each other an things were very tense in the Hamato household.

His dad thought he was a disgrace to the family, his mother was also disappointed, Donnie thought he was a idiot who ruined Leona's life and poor Mikey didn't know what to think about the situation; while he was excited about the idea of a new baby in the family he was also upset that they couldn't be in the baby's life.

But Raph was the worst.

Raph wanted to be there for Leo and his child but he was scared of what his father would do to him if he disobeyed him but he was also angry at Yoshi for keeping him form Leona and their baby.

But he felt guilty the most.

He felt guilty because Leo had been facing this all on her own and she would have to bring up the baby on her own as well; it just didn't seem fair. He grabbed his head and sighed.

What was he going to do?

Leo sat frozen in her bed as she waited for her mom, to scared to move. Suddenly Alopex burst into the room with April close behind her.

"What's all the panic about?" She asked calmly as she sat next to her daughter on the bed.

"She said it hurts." April replied as she stood next to the door.

"It felt funny, like something moved." Leo said, fear in her voice. But Alopex's concerned look quickly melted into a smile as she placed her hand where Leo's had just been.

"Here? Like a little kick?" She chuckled and the two girls visibly relaxed.

"Oh thank God, I thought she was going to have it in here then." April sighed.

"I may have felt flutters before but I have NEVER felt anything like that." Leo said in amazement before gasping when the baby kicked again.

"C-Can I feel?" April asked. Leo nodded and the human placed her hand where Alopex was and gasp when the baby kicked her hand.

Alopex just smiled and left them to it...
