Regrets

Shocking Part 1

It had been week since Leona and Yuki had moved into the apartment with Raph and things seemed to be going well.

With Donnie and Casey's help Raph had managed to repaint the walls a nice yellow colour, put down a nice grey carpet, got some basic items for the kitchen and bathroom and Donnie had done the wiring for them.

It was nice and cosy.

The only down side was that even though Raph was now working two jobs and Leo and the cafe they were struggling to make ends meet.

Both Raph's salaries only just made the rent and Leo's could only afford a small amount of food in the kitchen.

Right now Leo was in the kitchen making a small breakfast for each of them while Raph played with Yuki.

It was his day off today so he and Yuki were planning on having a daddy/daughter day.

Just then there was a knock on the door and when Leo answered she sighed when she saw it was Alopex.

"You're not coming in if you've come for another fight, 'cause last time you upset Yuki." She warned her mother.

"I'm not and I'm sorry, I'm just passing through and then I'll be gone." She replied. Leo glared at her for another moment before letting her in.

"Hello my sweetheart." She smiled as she and Yuki hugged before she turned to Leona and held up an envelope. "Thought I'd bring your exam results over, in case you're still bothered."

"Of course I'm bothered." Leo said a she took the envelope off her and opened it.

"What ya get?" Raph smiled.

"7 A's and 2 B's!" She exclaimed happily. Raph laughed and the two hugged.

"Well, I don't think it is that good, is it?" Alopex sighed. "That's nine, you took ten."

"I guess I didn't do very well on the other one." She shrugged.

"Best get to work." She sighed and left the little family in their apartment.

"Don't listen ta her, there's nothin' wrong with those grade, great job babe." Raph smiled as he gave her a hug.

"Thanks."She sighed, still unhappy.

"Tell ya what, go ta work and when ya get back I'll cook ya somethin' special." Raph smiled warmly at her.

Leo just smiled up at him...

By the time it was lunch Leo was at work and it was just Raph and Yuki in the apartment. While Yuki was playing with her toy buggy Raph was cooking Leo some lunch for when she got back for her lunch break.

"Then ya put tha peppers in and it sizzles, look Yuki!" Raph chuckled at Yuki, but the toddler hardly noticed.

Instead she ran her buggy into the wall behind Raph, but the teen didn't look.

"Mommy is gonna love this." He said was he continued with lunch. Yuki looked at the wall she had just hit and could hear some static noise.

"And I am gonna love tha-"

Yuki suddenly kicked the wall she had hit and there was a sudden small bang and flash, followed by Yuki cry of pain!

Raph quickly turned around and saw that there was a small scorch mark in the wall but that was the least of his worries.

Yuki was lying on the floor, unconscious...
