Talks

Today was the day the Saiyo family had feared since discovering Leo's pregnancy.

The day they told Kitsune the truth.

Leona and Tigerclaw were sat on the couch waiting for Alopex to bring Kitsune back from the spa resort. Leo was almost visibly shaking in fear as she thought about her Grandmother's reaction to all this.

Tigerclaw saw his daughter's fear and wrapped his arm around her.

Just then the door opened and Kitsune and Alopex walked in.

"I'm sorry I haven't been around lately but I really need that getaway." Kitsune explained as they came into the living room.

"Well you're here now." Alopex said calmly.

"Actually, I think someone's already let the cat out of the bag." She smiled as her family looked at her in confusion. "So I think I know already."

"No mother, I don't think you do."

"So are you thrilled sweet heart?" She asked her granddaughter.

"No."

"Oh why not? Well I'm right aren't I? There's going to be a new baby in the house." She smiled.

"Yes." Alopex sighed in defeat, ready for the shouting to start.

"Oh you should be delighted darling." She said to Leo, who just looked more confused. "I'm mean your mother's not that old and there is always IVF."

"Kitsune, Alopex isn't having a baby." Tigerclaw quickly said.

"Oh, then what we're you talking about, your 'present family circumstances'?" The human asked.

"Mother, it's hard to tell you this."

"What?!"

"It's not me that's having a baby." The mutant fox said and turned to her daughter. "It's Leona."

Kitsune froze and looked from her daughter, to Tigerclaw and then Leona in complete disbelief before shaking her head firmly.

"No, it has to be a mistake. If she was pregnant no one would let her have it." She told Alopex.

"It's to late to do anything about it!" She glared.

"Oh Leona." Kitsune mumbled and took a step towards the young turtle, but Leo looked away in shame. Kitsune glared and turned to her daughter. "Didn't you noticed?!"

"I took her to the doctor!"

"Alopex, you're her mother, didn't you realise what she was doing?!"

"Look, we want what's best for Leona! This is the situation we've found ourselves in so we have to deal with it!" She shouted.

"Deal with it?! You have ruined your life, how can you do it?" She asked Leo, her voice softening slightly.

"Don't turn on the girl now Kitsune!"

"Oh and what you done? Flung your arms around her? Told her she's wonderful?!"

"Look, she's upset enough without you screaming at her; we don't want to make a bad situation worse."

"How can it be any worse?!" She shouted at the fox. Suddenly she rn up to Leo, grabbed the turtle's arms and started shaking her violently. "YOU STUPID LITTLE GIRL!!!" She screamed into her face.

"LEAVE HER ALONE!!!" Alopex and Tigerclaw shouted as they pulled her off their daughter and stood protectively in front of the turtle as she silently sobbed.
