Not So Bad

"I don't know about this Mom, I've never even met the guy." Leo glared as she got her makeup on. "How do I now if I can trust him?"

"Well you trust me and I trust him." Alopex replied, but Leo didn't look any happier. Alopex smiled and hugged her daughter. "Come on, you deserve a night out and since your Dad and I are going out and so is your Gran; I'd thought you'd be pleased to have a babysitter."

"I know, but it just doesn't seem right leaving Yuki alone with a stranger."

"He's not a stranger, he's my friend."

"And you've know him for what? Three days?" Tigerclaw glared as he stepped into Leo's bedroom.

"A week actually, and he and I get along very nicely, wish I could say the same for some folk around here." She glared back at him. Her and her husband's marriage was still a little bit on the rocks so Kitsune had booked them a place at the movies and then they would have dinner at a fancy seafood place before heading home.

Kitsune hoped the time would help them work through this problem.

Before things got to out of hand there was a knock on the door. Kitsune opened it and smiled when she saw Adam standing on the doorstep.

"Come in Adam." She smiled and he he stepped in side.

"So, you're Alopex mother?" He asked politely.

"Yes, I'm Kitsune."

"It's a pleasure to meet you, you're daughter is a credit to you." He smiled. Just then Alopex came downstairs when she heard Adam's voice.

"Adam, I'm so glad you could do this on such sort notice." She smiled.

"It's no trouble Alopex, you look gorgeous." He smiled before Leona came down with Yuki in her arms. "And you must be Alopex's daughter Leona and your daughter Yukiko." He said when he saw her.

"Um, yes, are you sure this isn't a problem?" She asked nervously as she readjusted her daughter.

"Not at all, a young woman such as yourself needs a break every now and then."

"OK, her bedtimes in ten minuets, if she gets hungry there's some baby food in the fridge, if she need's changing all the stuff's in the bathroom, I should be back around eleven but if there are any problems call me and-"

"OK Leona, he understands." Alopex chuckled. Leona blushed from embarrassment while Adam chuckled.

"It's alright Alopex, she's just worried about her child, it's normal." He reassured as Leo handed Yuki over to him. The little turtle cooed a little and her tiny green hands roamed around his face.

Leo gave Yuki another quick kiss before leaving...

When Leona, Casey, April and Irma finally got to the night club it was already buzzing. While Casey wrecked the booming dance floor the girls were enjoying their drinks.

"I bet you 10$ he tears his pants." Irma laughed as they watched Casey's freestyle dancing.

"If he does I'm breaking up with him." April smirked as Casey started doing squats. Suddenly there was a loud tearing sound and Casey shot up with a panicked expression on his face.

Irma and April quickly turned to the bar, ignoring him.

They looked at Leo and saw that she was nervously staring at her phone.

"I'm sure she's fine Leo, stop worrying." April said.

"I can't help it, I'm sorry but I got to get back." She replied before quickly finishing her drink and running out the club...

When Leo got home she almost broke the door down. She quickly walking inside and found Adam sat on the couch watching TV and Yuki wasn't crying, in fact it was nice and quiet.

"Oh, you're back early." Adam said when he noticed her.

"Yeah, sorry, I was just worried." She smiled weakly, but Adam didn't seem offended.

"It's alright, I take it that this is your first time trusting your daughter with a stranger." He smiled.

"Uh, yes it is."

"Don't worry, it's natural for a mother to worry about her child, Yukiko's been very good tonight, she's a credit to you."

"Thank you, I'm just going to get ready for bed." She smiled nervously and quickly went upstairs. Before going to her own room she went into the nursery and saw Yuki sound asleep in her crib with her bear that Raph got her tucked firmly under her arms.

Leo smiled as she gently caressed Yuki's head.

Maybe Adam wasn't so bad after all...
