Registration

"You can just drive up to the office right? We won't have to park blocks away and walk it will we?" Kitsune asked as the family prepared to leave.

"I don't know, Mother, we'll find out when we get there." Alopex sighed as Tigerclaw came down the stairs. "Have you got the camera?"

"Why do we need a camera?" He asked his wife.

"Well it's a special occasion, getting a baby registered, I just thought it'd be nice to have a picture of Leona signing the paper." She replied and he sighed heavily before heading back upstairs.

Leo chuckled at her parents before gazing down to little Yuki.

Yuki was snuggled up against her mother's plastron and she was dressed in nice winter clothes with the blanket Kitsune had made for her. The baby was the spitting image of Leo with the same facial structure and same stunning blue eyes, but she had Raph's deep emerald skin.

Leo laughed lightly as she silently prayed Yuki hadn't inherited Raph's temper...

After a few more minuets of fussing the Saiyo family had finally made it to the registry office.

But right now Leo prayed to be anywhere else. Yuki kept whining as she thrashed around in her mommy's arms.

"Alright, everything is seems to be in order." The man smiled as he checked over all the paper work. "But there's just one little thing, do we know who the father of this little one is?" He asked and Leo froze.

"Her father's name is Raphael Hamato." A voice suddenly blurted out before anyone could say anything.

Everyone turned around and saw Raph standing in the door.

"What are you doing here?" Leo hissed at the other turtle and Raph flinched.

"She's my daughter too Leo, and I wanna be there fer her." He said.

"Do you want me to throw him out?" Tigerclaw snarled as he walked to Raph.

"No." Leo said, but her expression didn't change. "Let him put his name on the birth certificate, it won't change a thing." She said and sat back down. The certificate now read:

Name: Yukiko Miley Saiyo

Mother: Leona Saiyo

Father: Raphael Hamato

Weight: 7.7 lbs

Length: 20 in

State: New York City, Manhattan

Signed: L. Saiyo

Signed: Raphael. H

After it was all do the grown ups left Leo and Raph alone in the hallway to talk. Alopex took Yuki so they wouldn't have to worry about her crying.

"Leo, I'm sorry." Raph finally said.

"It's a little late for that." She glared. "Just because you showed up today doesn't mean that you won't disappear again when your father shows up."

"That won't happen!"

"I don't believe that, Raph. It's happened too many times and I can't live like this anymore!"

"Like what?!"

"Like the second things get rough you'll just back out and leave me to fix it and then come crawling back when it's all over!" She screamed in his face. "I can't live like that and it's not fair on Yuki. Of course you can visit her anytime, at my house, but that's it." She spat before walking away, leaving Raph alone in the dark hallway...

By the time they got home Yuki had settled but wouldn't go to sleep. She was just looking around, and occasionally cooed or gurgled.

"Well that was fun." Alopex smiled as they took their coats off. Leo just hummed in agreement before sitting on the coach and placed Yuki on her back as she unbuttoned the baby turtle's coat.

"I'll go put this with the other family archives." Tigerclaw smiled as he pulled out Yuki's birth certificate. By that he meant an old box in the basement full of documents and other stuff.

"So, who wants some lunch?" Kitsune smiled.

"Sorry Grandma, but someone needs changing and putting down for a nice long nap." She smiled before carrying Yuki upstairs...
