Exam Preparations

It was the day before exams and all the kids in Leo's school were on edge. But not Leona. She knew she was a bright student and she wasn't that worried.

It was breakfast in her home and her father had already left for work.

She and Alopex were sat at the table eating there breakfast in total silence, until the mutant fox cleared her throat.

"So, are you looking forward to your exams?" She asked with a smile.

"Yeah, I think I stand a good chance." She replied.

"And what about after?"

"What do you mean?"

"What do you plan on doing at college?"

"Not sure yet, I'm going to be looking for a place I like first then we'll see."

"You're not thinking of dragging Yukiko half way up the country so you can go to college are you?"

"If I have to then yes."

"But this is all she's ever know, you can't just drag her away from her family and friends!" Alopex exclaimed.

"Well it's my decision and she's my daughter not, not your's!" Leo glared before storming upstairs to get Yuki ready for daycare. Alopex just sighed and stared at her breakfast in total silence...

"Poor girl." Tang Shen sighed when she read the article about what Adam Oscars did to the Saiyo family.

"Yes, it's very unfortunate, I hope they are all OK." Splinter added as he poured his tea.

"Well ya've turned over a new leaf." Raph glared at his father.

"Watch your tone Raphael, I might not be very fond of the Saiyo family but no one deserves to go through all that fear and pay, even if most of them are whores and bastards." He spat.

"I'm goin' ta school." Raph growled before grabbing her jacket and keys...

Raph sighed as he walked into the school library. He had the period free but instead of messing about with his friends he decided to try and find Leo.

He really needed to see her.

He knew the teen mother would be in the library studying for the exams tomorrow like most students. He was right. She was looking through the history shelves.

"Hey." He smiled when he walked up to her.

"Oh hey Raph, is something wrong?" She asked with a soft smile that caused a very faint blush to rise to Raph's cheeks.

"C-Can't old friends just talk?" He smirked.

"Sorry, I'm just a bit busy right now."

"I know, but I really need ta talk ta ya." He insisted. Leo saw the seriousness in his eyes and sighed.

"What's the matter?"

"Leona, ya know I love ya and Yuki and with what's been goin' on I realised that I don't want ta lose ya again, please babe, give us another chance." He begged her.

She looked into his eyes and released a heavy sigh.

"I'm sorry Raphie, but no." She replied and saw his heart break. "I do love you but too much has happened and with the exams coming up I need to think about my future."

"But I can be part of that."

"No you can't Raph, I want to get into a good college out of state and I can't ask you to leave your family like that and you've got you're own future to think about."

"I want it ta be with ya."

"No Raph, I'm very sorry but it's just not possible." She said before walking away, leaving Raph alone by the bookcase...
