Nana

The next day, Leo had the day off work so she was at the apartment with Yuki while Raphael was out working.

As she was washing dishes, the buzzer suddenly went off.

She quickly dried her hands and buzzed the person up. When she saw who it was she gave a soft smile.

It was Catherine.

"I'm sorry to intrude, it's just that I haven't heard anything and you seemed so upset, I just had to come see how you were." The older turtle explained.

"I know, I'm so sorry, I feel awful."

"And?" You and Raphael?"

"Oh, it's alright, we're back together."

"Oh I'm so glad, that's such good news." Catherine smiled as she gave her granddaughter and loving embrace. "You were all in my prays and it shows that the Lord really does listen."

"Well it was your advice I took, so thanks." Leo smiled back.

"Well, what's the point of having experience if you can't pass it on? Believe me, I know what it's like to be a single mother and it's not something I'd recommend."

"Yeah, you're right." Leo sighed, before a smile spread across her face. "You know, it's really nice having someone with experience to talk to; would you like some tea?"

"Oh please." Catherine smiled and Leo quickly rushed to the kitchen with the older turtle following her. "So no word from your adopted mother?"

"No, your the only one who's been any help to us." She replied with a frown.

"Oh it was nothing really, it's easy to be helpful to such a lovely family; that's what Nana's are for, taking care of little treasured ones." She smiled as Leo handed her a cup. "Speaking of which, where's our little princess?"

"She's having a nap."

"I have the afternoon free, I was wondering if I could take her off your hands for a few hours?"

"That'd be great but I've only just put her down."

"So she's not asleep yet then?" Catherine asked hopefully.

"Well..."

"Oh sorry, I understand if you don't want to disturb her routine." She sighed in defeat as took a few sips of her tea.

"Aw it won't hurt, I'll go and get her." She smiled as she started walking to Yuki's room but then stopped. "Actually, I've got the day off so we can all go out."

"A-Are you sure honey? Haven't you got something you want to get done?"

"No."

"I know when our Eroina was Yukiko's age I used to crave someone to take her for a few hours so I could catch up on some sleep or get some house work done."

"It's fine, I'll go get her ready." Leo smiled before going to get Yuki...

Leo sighed happily as she and Yuki made their way back to the apartment. The turtle tot was over the moon after spending the day with 'Nana'.

Leo was also happier

They had been to the park and afterwards they went to Catherine's house of a teddy bear tea party with Mr. Stuffington.

When they got home Raph was in so Leo tucked Yuki in before getting ready for bed...
