Regrets

The Uncertainty

The next morning April was still in her pyjamas, curled up on the couch, when Leo woke up and went to get a cup of tea. Raph had already gone to work, forgetting that he was suppose to drop Yuki off at daycare, which meant now a very annoyed Leona was going to be late for work.

"Hey." She smiled softly as she sat next to her best friend and handed her a cup. "How you feeling?"

"Horrible, I couldn't sleep." The human sighed.

"Nether could I when I found out I was pregnant."

"Leo, did you ever regret it? You know, having Yuki?" April asked and the blue eyed turtle looked away in shame.

"To tell you the truth, yes, there were times when Yuki was first born where I regretted having her because of how everyone was treating me; if it wasn't your mom or Raph's dad then it was my Mom always breathing down my neck, telling me I'm ding everything wrong." She sighed but then smiled. "But now, I can't imagine life with out her."

April sighed and rested her head against the back of the sofa.

"So, are you going to tell Casey?"

That question had April whipping her head at her best friend with wide eyes. Leo just chuckled at her expression.

"What? You two are dating and you don't seem like the person who condones cheating, I mean, you came straight to me when Raph kissed you; so are you going to tell Casey?"

"I... I don't know what I'm going to do yet, I just need some more time." She sighed. Before Leona could say anything else a tell-tale whining told her Yukiko was finally away and calling for her Mommy.

Leo gave her friend a quick smile before go to tend to her daughter...

"Hey Raph!"

The large green eyed turtle turned around and saw his best friend running into the store he worked at. He couldn't help but grow smile when he thought about Casey Jones being a dad like him.

"Hey stud." He laughed and the human gave him a confused look.

"What're ya talkin' about?"

"Ha! Like ya don't know already!" Raph laughed but then he realised that Casey was being serious. "Well, ya bound ta find out anyway." He shrugged and went back to work.

"Find out what?!" Casey growled as he grabbed his friend back infuriating Raph even more.

"OK, OK, ya got yer little girlfriend knocked up! Happy now?" He snapped and walked away from the human. As he walked away, he didn't realise that a few kids that went to his high school were listen and were already on their phones...

Leo hummed a little song in her head as she walked up the stairs to her apartment. She was on her break when she decided to head back to the apartment to see how April was getting on with things and to see if she'd made a decision.

However, she was shocked to find Casey Jones in the apartment shouting at her pregnant, red headed guest. But it seemed that they had yet to notice her yet.

"Were ya ever gonna tell me ya were pregnant with my kid?!" Casey shouted as he and April glared daggers at each other. "Is it 'cause ya think I'm not gonna provide for ya?! That I'm not man enough ta stick by ya?!"

"No!"

"Then what?! Why don't ya wanna keep our baby?!"

"How can we afford it?! We still live with our parents for crying out loud!"

"Well I can get a job and rent a place like Raph's done for Leo and Yuki, I mean, look at them, they had her when they were still in high school and after everything they've been through they're now a proper family." He sighed as he gently took hold of her hand. "I know we didn't plan this baby, but maybe that's a good thing, and I'll be with you every step of the way."

"I'm scared Casey." She sniffed as tears welled up in her eyes. "I'm scared this baby is going to ruin everything."

"It won't red, 'cause ya'll have me there to help ya." Casey promised as he pulled her into a loving hug.

Leo smiled at them before making a quick, silent get away...
