It was evening. Siana and Min had split from the boys because it was getting tiresome waiting outside of shot for their recording to complete. They made plans to meet later, and the girls had walked slowly up and down the tiny streets of Plaka, feeling a little distracted from the sights by their own thoughts. They had had a quiet lunch in a small side street and decided to go check out Ermou and the high street fashions.
It lifted their energy for a while but then that same listlessness seemed to fall over them.
"Why do I feel like I should be at home waiting for an important phone call or something?" Siana pined, shrugging off her coat which had become stifling after all the walking.
"It's strange because, nobody even has landlines nowadays. Why would I need to be home to expect a call?" Siana laughed. "Maybe it's the feeling of wandering around uselessly."
"Me too! I don't like that feeling." Min looked up at the clear blue sky.
"Hmm why would Minjani be feeling such a feeling?" Siana teased. Min looked at her sideways.
"I don't know what you mean," she said perfunctorily.
"I feel like you need to explain to me exactly what happens at a "Vixx breakfast", because-"
"Leave me alone, Banana!" Min exclaimed suddenly, making Siana laugh out loud.
Min smiled as she turned and leaned against a streetpole, hugging it and closing her eyes.
"Let me be. Don't ask. I don't know either! Leave me alone, I say!!" Min wailed.
"Min!" Siana giggled. Although she was surprised by how Min was acting, it was just like Min to use humour to deflect from herself. She let it go, because it was all but stated that Min was preoccupied thinking of someone, just as she was preoccupied thinking of Leo. It made her feel happy for her friend.
They were across the way from the restaurant where they were soon to meet with the boys for some dinner.
"You know if you and Leo want some alone time I won't ask you where you are in the middle of the night." Min said suddenly.
Siana felt herself flush as she buried her nose behind her scarf.
"Just be safe and meet me at the hotel before noon tomorrow so we can go get the bus together."
"Min-"
Min rolled her eyes and held up a hand to stop Siana talking.
"Uggh noobs like you just get my goat. There's nothing wrong with it, silly. We just need to make plans and I don't wanna think twice about calling you at the wrong time. Or, as us seasoned humans like to say, the riiiight tiiime."
Siana punched Min in the arm. "Stop!"
"Yes. Stopping." Min cleared her throat and pulled her coat around her.
"Okay now it's getting chilly. Can we go wait inside?" They crossed the street and found themselves at a small tavern decorated with christmas lights, their waiters setting up tables out on the pavement as they approached.
Siana asked for a table of ten and they were told that without a reservation they could only set up a table outside for them, which they agreed to. They waited in the street as the establishment went about setting up some tables together.
Just as they were being ushered in through the restaurant to get to their tables outside, the boys turned up, a little loud, a little blustery.
Ken, Ravi and Hyuk came in first, and waved excitedly at them as they weaved their way through the restaurant. Behind them, Kkomae and N walked, deep in conversation. Then behind them, Leo and Hongbin, both quiet, both staring ahead and looking at Siana.
