Choose a topic:
If your topic isn't already assigned, try choosing one that makes you angry. By choosing a topic that you are passionately angry about, your entire essay will be a rant and you'll have more to talk about.

Usually, the thesis is the last sentence in the first paragraph. It is very important because it tells you what you will be talking about in your entire essay. Be sure to write a simple thesis that describes the point of your essay and the topics you'll be covering.

Outline:
Now, make an outline of your paper. This is where you write down all the topic/closing sentences, details, and textual evidence for each paragraph. Make sure all topic sentences tie back to your thesis!

Write it:
Now it's time to write your paper! It's good to start by writing all the body paragraphs. Then, write a few intro paragraphs with different introduction strategies and choose your favourite one. Lastly, it's good to write your conclusion by recapping each topic sentence from the body paragraphs and reconnecting to your into.

Proofread:
This is the most important step! Copy and paste your essay into google translate so you can hear it aloud and listen for mistakes!

Use the rubric! Throughout the entire writing process, check back with the rubric to make sure you meet all the requirements.
Tip #2:
Don't forget transition words! Look up a list of transitions words online. It'll prevent your essay from sounding choppy.
Tip #3:
Use a thesaurus! This will find synonyms for any word and allow you to have better diction and variety in your paper.
Tip #4:
If you essay is too short, try changing all the periods from font size 12 to 14. This will make your paper a lot longer!
