How To Tell When Fruit Is Ripe

Pineapple;
It should be firm, not mushy, but not rock hard either. An unripe pineapple won't smell like anything. An overripe pineapple will smell vinegary. A ripe pineapple will smell sweet.

Strawberries;
You can tell by the smell. You will be able to tell but if you smell the slightest hint of mold, fermentation, or foulness, you know they may not last one night.

Mango;
A ripe mango will smell sweet. Mangos, will soften as they ripen. You can tell their ripeness by their weight. A riper fruit will be slightly heavier than an unripe one.

Watermelon;
Ripe melons have a hollow sound when you tap or slap the outside. It should feel relatively heavy when lifted.

Avocado;
If you can squish an avocado in your hand, it's too ripe. They're best to buy firm and after a few days it will become a nice constancy.
