CHAPTER FORTY TWO

       I let go of his hand as tears continue to flow out from my eyes. I felt a strong force slowly pulling me away from him and I know that this will going to be the last time that I’m going to see him again and I already knew from the beginning that this is how our story will going to end. I already knew and yet I still hoped that we can be together forever. I hoped and got broken.
        With the last glimpse of him I looked him in the eye and smiled at him with tears falling out as I mouthed, “I love you and I will find a way”.

Kinuha ko ang kumot ko at iyon ang ginamit ko bilang pamunas sa mukha kong basa na ng luha. Hindi ko mapigilang maiyak habang binabasa ko ang epilogue ng story ni Rain. Somehow I find it really similar with my current situation. Just the reverse version tho. Wave came from another world. A different world. And sooner or later he will go back to his own world..

Hanggang sa natapos kong basahin ang buong libro ay umiiyak pa rin ako. Hindi na sila nagkita kahit kailan at doon natatapos ang kanilang kwento. Fate can be cruel sometimes.

Why would let them meet if they will not end up with each other? Why would let them fall in love if they were not meant to be? Why let heart breaks?

Isasarado ko na sana ang libro nung may mapansin akong isa pang pahina. Mas manipis ito kumpara sa normal na papel ng libro kaya mahirap mapansin at aakalain mong walang nakasulat doon. But when I flipped the page I saw nine words in a beautiful cursive font on the back.

“I finally found a way but he was gone.”

My heart felt tight and heavy upon reading that one sentence as another small tear fell on my eye. But the sadness in my heart got quickly replaced by curiosity and questions when I saw another sentence in small font at the very corner of the page.

“Hades Astral Dawn in Neptune exist.”

I frowned upon reading that sentence. These cryptic messages of Rain are starting to get me curious.

Are these an empty messages or not? Anong gusto nyang iparating? Or is this part of her new novels?

Hades Astral Dawn in Neptune exist? What does she mean by exist?

Tinitigan kong maigi at paulit-ulit kong binasa ang huling pangungusap na iyon. My eyes automatically widened upon realizing what she meant on her cryptic messages.

Shit.

“You’ve got to be kidding me..”

Tiningnan ko ang lalaking nasa harap ko na may malaking ngiti sa kanyang labi.

“Michael.” Tinanguan ko sya at pinaupo sa bakanteng upuan sa harap ko.

“It kinda surprised me when you texted me to meet you. Anyway, dala ko na rin pala ‘yung book—”

“Wait, Michael. About that, may nahiram na akong libro at natapos ko na rin itong basahin.”

“Talaga? How was it? Kinda tragic, right?”

I nodded. This is not the time to talk about how tragic that book. I really need his help, “May favor sana ako kung okay lang,” I started.
