CHAPTER FORTY EIGHT
I stared on the empty seat in front of me as I wait for that certain someone to occupy it. Right now, I have to deal with this person.
This certain person who I think can answer all my damn questions.
I didn’t bother to look up and see who it was.
“It’s nice to finally and formally meet you, Miss Avalon.” But I did not bother to return the gesture.
“I take it as your cold treatment. I understand,” sabi nya, “Let me introduce myself. I am Rain and I’m the author of Hades Astral Dawn in Neptune,” she stated, “By the looks on your stoic face tells me that you already knew and you already know something. Wala talaga sa plano ko ang magpakita but I don’t have a choice—”
“Cut the crap,” I sternly said as I coldly met her eyes, “Amelia..”
Mia pursed her lips into thin line and straightened her back, “Alam kong marami kang katanungan, Ava. I know you’re mad bu—”
I scoffed, “What do you expect? That I am going to be happy to finally meet the famous author? Well, that’s bullshit, Amelia. Totally bullshit. All this time ikaw lang pala si Rain. I paused as I breathe in to calm myself, “Ha! Shit.”
“I can explain..”
“You should be!” How much of a fool does she think I am?
Amelia look straight to my eyes as she tries to compose herself, “Like I said I’m not really planning to reveal myself to anyone. Even to you. But then, you suddenly got curious of my book which really surprised me.”
“Because someone recommended it to me.”
Amelia furrowed her eyebrows, “Who?”
“Just.. someone.”
But I took the risk and I know sooner or later I have to tell you the truth behind my book.”
“I already know.. The title of your book.. It’s the location of the passage leading to Haralda. I finally understand the true meaning behind that cryptic title of yours.”
I realized it when I was at the bridge. That explains why I saw Wave under the sea that night because the passage to Haralda is located at the bottom of the sea.
“That’s not even half of the many reasons of why I wrote that book, Ava.”
“What do you mean?”
“I wrote that book to let them know that aside from earth there are heaps of worlds out there like Haralda.”
