Chapter 38 - Co-operation, Co-operative!

 “Yes Daniel.” She hugged him tightly.

“What was that for?” He questioned.

“For everything you have done, now let’s get our baggage, run away from the fans and get some sleep. That’s a long trip." 

“11 hours, meh.”

Florence yawned, “Its okay for some!” She pushed him.

They walked through, showed their passports and grabbed their luggage off of the conveyer belt. Then found their ride to the hotel.

Florence’s body ached so much; she just collapsed onto the bed and fell asleep. She woke up to hear Dan singing, “Your Albatross, let it go, let it go, your albatross shoot it down, shoot it down, when you just can't shake the heavy weight of living…” He realized she was awake. “Hey sleepy head, its lunch time. Wanna get some food?”

“Sure, I’ll just get ready.” She hauled herself out of bed half asleep, nearly walking into the door. “I’m okay!” She mumbled. Dan laughed.

“Florence, FLORENCE!” There was a woman’s voice shouting her. Florence opened her eyes and went back to reality. Mara was staring at her. “We’re here.”

Here was a small charity shop, it looked normal to Florence. “You want to go charity shopping?”

“Follow me.” Mara got out and Florence shuffled behind her into the shop. Mara approached the elderly lady at the counter.

“We only want one thing, one thing everyone wants.”

“Co-operation?” The lady’s voice was raspy.

“Co-operative.”

“Wow, what’s next, Tesco’s?” Florence interrupted.

“You may have a job.” The old woman let them through to the back room.

Florence thought of the code to get in, Co-operation, co-operative… it’s like Mara was giving away her identity, take the CO away it leaves Operative. Florence sighed.

“You okay?” Her mother asked.

“Just a little tired, didn’t get much sleep.”

“Well, there are comfortable beds here. This base is quite different to the last.” Mara informed her. Florence nodded to make it look like she was interested.
