It took her a few moments to recover. “It was only a dream.” She whispered to herself. Her cell door opened.
Zach stood there. “I’m glad you stopped that racket, no-one can hear you outside.”
“I had a nightmare, I haven’t been feeling well.”
“Oh yes, the baby.” Zach said. Florence protected her stomach with her hands and glared at him, it was a haunted look.
“Who told you?” Florence stammered.
“Your mother, she’s quite a woman.” He sneered.
“Oh please don’t make me throw up, she hates you every bit more than I do. And don’t grab me by the neck again it is so cliché and I know it’s going to happen. Look I can easily paralyze you and I don’t want to work for you.”
Zach pulled out a gun and pointed it at her stomach. “Don’t get smart with me, if you don’t do as I say I will not hesitate to shoot.”
Florence nodded in fear.
“Good girl. Head to the gym, you’ll need training.”
“Sure.” She stood up and he showed her to the gym. It was different than in her nightmare but she was still cautious and every person who entered she stared at for a few moments before resuming her anger on the punch bag.
The next morning, Florence shuffled tiredly into the canteen. It was a lot bigger than the Agency canteen she noticed.
Everyone stared at her and started whispering about her.
‘Just like school.’ She thought.
Florence found a table in the corner away from the crowd. Not feeling hungry she just sat drinking some water.
A few guys started looking at her a lot and sniggering. It annoyed her so she closed her eyes and blocked them out. Dan had taught her how to do this and she was quite thankful for it now.
“Hello!” She was faced by a smiley young man.
“Err…hello?”
“Sorry, I’m Riley Erickson.” He held out his hand.
“Oh, I’m Florence Heathcliff.” She hesitantly shook it.
