“Hello. There’s my Florence. The shy girl who fell on me.” He swayed with her in his arms.
“I recall me being angry and not shy.”
“You were shy afterwards.” He corrected himself.
“So were you.”
“Of course I was, I was faced with my future wife. You didn’t think I knew, I just hoped it’d happen one day.”
“So those girls were to win my affection?”
“I was confused, you went away after that argument we had and I found that blonde one…”
“Sophia.” Florence said.
“And I couldn’t stop thinking of you cause you have always rocked my world so I dumped her.”
“And got another girlfriend, called Hannah but she tried to beat me up so you dumped her and then there was Karmin who dumped you actually cause you went on about me too much.” Florence reminded him.
“I’m sorry about all of them.”
“You don’t need to be. I’ve had my fair share of mistakes.”
“Your Flaws?”
“Our Flaws…I better get the bandages.” Florence walked out into the kitchen to see Nick who was sleeping on the table. She grabbed her rucksack with the first aid items she’d managed to get from the base quickly. Thank goodness she remembered to grab it she thought.
Florence applied the cream to his hands and wrapped them up again.
“That should be okay for a few days but just tell me if they seriously hurt and I’ll redo them again.”
“Yes Dr Smith. Now let’s go to bed.” He pushed her up the stairs.
“Okaaay, I’m going.” She replied.
They flopped into bed and fell asleep. They’d been so busy running, sleep wasn’t a necessity but they were thankful for whatever sleep they could get.
The next day wouldn’t be so kind on them.
