Buzz.
Buzz.I woke up to the sound of my phone vibrating on the soft mattress of my bed. Lazily, I reached out and picked it up. The light of the screen blinded me for a spilt second, I could barely make out the words on the glass. It said.
Adam🌺 is typing...
From Adam🌺My hands were too tired to function but I somehow managed to unlock my phone and read the message.
Adam🌺: Hey!
Adam🌺: Do you still remember the purple haired prince that kissed you on the party? For a single minute I had to work out what exactly happened yesterday and how it all happened.
Louise👽: Yeah obviously! 👅
Adam🌺: It was lit yesterday, I wish we could do that again.
Louise👽: Totally...
We chatted for another hour about last night and I told him everything about Jay and he supported me in everything and said he will help out and I really appreciated it.
Adam🌺: Why won't you ask him out like a hang out? Since you guys live literally few minutes away from each other?
Louise👽: I think it would be weird or too obvious, not to mention that it will make me look desperate.
Adam🌺: Shut the fuck up! I'm his best friend, I know how to make it work. Trust me, do it.
I hesitated for a while... like actually, I don't think it's a good idea but Adam is right, if I want something to happen then I can't be a pussy about it and I should just make it work. So I texted him.
Louise👽: Yo! I'm gonna go for a walk and grab a drink on the way, do you wanna tag along?
I love how he always replies immediately.
Jay: Yeah sure! Meet me by the park at 5.
My eyes glanced at the clock, 2:11 pm. I still had plenty of time; I decided to sleep a little longer to be on my full energy since I'm going out. To be completely honest with you, I never expected any of this to happen. Like I wished and hoped but never really expected anything to actually come true. I felt amazing, as if happiness and relief just began flowing in my veins.
As I woke up, I began getting ready and I left my house. Passing by the few houses that divided me and the park I was thinking about Isaiah and if he's fine. I knew that he didn't have his phone at the moment so he couldn't answer my calls or SMS. I was going to tell him everything that happened on the party and over all everything. I had to wait till school starts though, right now I was too occupied with my thoughts.
I met Jay exactly at 5, surprising right? I mean I wasn't late and he wasn't late and that's a fucking major plus because I hate people who are late.
Just think about it, if you're late for a meeting with someone. You're technically wasting their time. They've been awaiting you for quite some time and you just decide to be an hour late. It's really not cool.
Going back to the story.
Jay and I went to the local Starbucks ordered 2 white mochas. We sat outside for a little bit then left and walked for the rest of the evening.
I will be completely honest with you. That boy is the most dorkiest and ambitious guy I have ever met. His mouth didn't shut up, he kept on talking about his future plans and his hobbies and interests. Then he started asking questions about me and giving me feedback and advices. I love people like that. People who talk a lot, not only about themselves but also about you and they interact with you and share their thoughts and interests while making jokes. These kind of people hold a special place in my heart.
You know what they say, that time flies way faster when you're spending it with good people.
Both of us sat outside of my house on the edge of the road for the rest of the night. Just talking about his huge interest for music and overall everything. I felt a connection between the two of us and not the lust or romantic kind of connection but a friendship kind of connection.
The soft sound of wind and the light of stars above calmed everything around us. I wish we could stay like this forever, I felt like minutes weren't passing anymore. As much as I wanted it to never end it had to.
I walked him halfway to the park and that was where we said our goodbyes. He looked at me and I looked at him. His eyes filled with a warm chocolate color, I felt like I was hypnotized.
Jay pulled me close and wrapped his arms around me. In that moment for sure I knew that Jay gives the best hugs on earth, there was no doubt about that. He gently traced my back as we pulled away and I ran back home.
I couldn't wait to tell Adam and Isaiah about this. I thought that my life was finally getting better.
Not for long...
