23rd March 2018
"Lou hurry up! Andrew and everybody else is already waiting for me!" I heard Emily shout from downstairs. Meanwhile I was finishing up on my make up since Adam asked me to meet him and join him in an art gallery. I was excited to be honest, I mean he is my best friend and I love art galleries; he said he's going to bring his camera so he can give me a small photo shoot. I was excited, like really excited.
I walked downstairs and got in the car with my parents and Emily then we left our house to drop both of us in our destinations.
"Alright bye Emily, have fun sweetheart..." said my mom as my sister left the car and trotted up to her boyfriends house. We left and I continued listening to my music until my dad started talking to me. " So you're going on a date huh?" He mocked me, "No it's not a date, we're just going to go out." I answered, "Who is this boy anyway? I never met him." Asked my mom, "Oh! He's Jay's best friend and we got really close over the past few months." I responded cheerfully, I couldn't wait to see him. I missed him so much. "Ah! I see..." she added and they continued talking about their usual crap.
Once I got there Adam was already waiting for me outside. He hugged me tightly and complimented my outfit. "Did you straighten your hair?" He asked, "Yeah! I didn't want to look like I have a bird nest on my head." I laughed, we walked inside and explored the so called 'art' which was literally just paint splattered on canvas or shapes arranged in some weird ways. 'ART' even I could do better, can't believe people pay millions for something that even a toddler could do.
It was a bad idea to wear heels... first of all I'm already Adams height, second of all we walked a lot and by that I mean A LOT! But of course I'm a genius so I brought myself spare shoes once I began to get blisters on my ankles and toes.
"You know where we should go?" The boy looked at me and sent me a confused look, "Emily's ex-boyfriend once took me here for this amazing tea and I swear to god you should try it. You'll fall in love." I stated, Adam looked at me- smiled and nodded. Of course we had to be on the wrong side of the whole place so we had to walk miles to that hotel and get kicked out by security a few times.
"I don't think this is legal Lou..." complained Adam, "Shut up! Just pretend like you're a guest in this hotel and you'll be fine." I whispered as we peaked out a corner to see if there are any securities nearby. "All this struggle just to get some tea?" "YES Adam! It's not 'some tea' it's the best fucking tea you'll ever taste. You can feel ur tongue melting as you're taking sips of it. It's better than weed bruh!" "You've never tried weed though..." he added as we walked down the corridor towards a lobby. "So? I heard stories... same shit." "Weirdo..." he chuckled and we walked up to the reception. I asked for directions and the nice lady led us to the restaurant. We chose a place outside and I ordered that 'magical' tea.
"So... what's the new drama? Fill me up." I commanded, the thing is that Adam's grade is always full of drama. His grade is like the media of school, as soon as they lay their hands on something they'll spread it, twist it and all that bullshit. HIGH SCHOOL.
"Well Jay told me that he fingered this one girl at a party back in January... I don't know if it's true though." He said, "NO WAY!" I laughed, if he told me this in January I would be fucking devastated but since it happened a long time ago it didn't really hurt me. "Yeah then Max did anal with his ex-girlfriend and yeah that's about it." He added, the thought of Max disgusted me but yeah I laughed anyway...
At that moment our tea arrived and I filled our tea cups with the hot liquid. Adam took a sip and sighed, "This shit is actually pretty damn good..." "I KNOW RIGHT!" I exclaimed and drank the rest of the tea. I felt so satisfied.
We talked a little more then took our leave to the lake to watch the sunset and take some pictures. As soon as we arrived at the lake I immediately took my shoes off and ran to the water. Adam followed me and pulled out his camera, he clicked a few pictures then joined me in the water. "I'm getting my jeans wet for you." He whined, "My god you complain so much haha!" I laughed and stretched my arms to embrace the breeze that came from the lake.
I'm going to skip the rest of the boring detail which was Adam inviting me to eat. Not in a fancy restaurant because I hate those, he took me to a fucking steak house. I love this guy, he knows me so well.
A small insight on me: I am not like those cliche girls that go to fancy restaurant and order a salad. I'm a type of girl that will be satisfied with a date at KFC. I love meat and will devour any junk food. I'm not hard to please...
We ate and joked around until I got the amazing idea of going to a roof top of the nearest building in the town to watch the stars since it was already dark. He agreed but the problem was we didn't have enough money for the cab so we had to walk half way there until we got too tired to function. The two of us got in the cab and I looked out the window as I saw the illuminated buildings pass by. I loved doing that, it's so relaxing. It gets me in the mood especially if there's Clocks by Coldplay playing on the radio. I felt happy.
At the moment I felt Adam touch my hand, I jolted my head away from the window to face him. He had worry in his eyes but he still smiled at me, I returned the smile and looked back at the buildings letting him slowly intertwine our hands together. I felt weird at first but shook that thought off. I didn't want to make anything awkward to begin with.
We found an empty rooftop with the view on the lake and houses in the distance. We sat down and watched the stars while talking about life. "What's your favorite flower?" The boy asked, I looked at him and smiled, "Daisies are my favorite" I answered and looked up at the sky again. Adam pulled out a cigarette and gave it to me while he took one for himself. We smoked and switched the topics to feelings and hooking up with other people. I knew that something was coming, it would be a miracle if I didn't. It was too obvious.
"Louise." He started, I faced him to show him that I'm paying attention, "Would it be alright if I did this?" He asked and kissed me. I didn't have time to answer. I wasn't shocked but definitely surprised. He was my best friend. He knew that I have feelings for Jay, why did he kiss me then? I kissed him back.
Louise you fucking bitch...
He was your best friend and you're gonna lead him on? GREAT! I couldn't help it though, I felt satisfied. Safe. It was weird but a nice kind of weird. I remember him placing his palm on my cheek deepening the kiss. I didn't want it to go any further so I pulled away and laughed. "You didn't let me respond." I chuckled, the boy laughed and apologized. "It's fine." I couldn't stay any longer I had to go home. I had to tell Isai and Bruce. OBVIOUSLY!
Man what a weird night... I don't regret it though. Not even in the present day, it was an experience and a lesson...
