It's Emily's actual 18th birthday tomorrow! How wonderful, no like seriously. She's legal now which means that she can get me shit. Of course it's a huge celebration, you don't get a chance to become a legal adult everyday. I was really happy for her and wished her the best.
My winter holiday had started two days ago so from that day onwards we were all sitting in the trap house every night. However, tonight Bruce, Vicky and I planned something special for Emily. Like as much as I complain how much of a horrible person and sister she is, I actually love her with my entire heart and would die just to see her smile.
"Alright! Here's the cake, now we have two options. 1) we either let it melt or 2) we put it in your fridge and take it out once it's 12 a.m and take the risk of her seeing it." Suggested Bruce as he placed the cake on the kitchen table. We had a strategy to meet up in my place before we would go to the trap house and discuss what's next. Vicky was upstairs trying her best to keep Emily busy while Bruce and I panicked where to hide the cake. We didn't have much time left since it was already 5 p.m and we were supposed to start getting ready.
Once Bruce left our secret "meeting" I dashed upstairs to put on some make up and warm clothes since it's winter so it's freezing cold outside and today is the second time it snowed. I love winter for few things: 1) it's cold and there's barely any sun. 2) it gets dark early so you can sleep more. 3) the beautiful sight of earth being covered by the white fluffy stuff.
We stepped outside of the house already ready for the big night. As we walked the fragile snow crumbled underneath our feet, creating a really satisfying yet odd sound. I could see the hot steam escape my mouth as I talked and disappear into the dark night.
Eventually we met with the guys and this time we brought some old furniture to the house. Not from our homes but from the garbage. I know right! Disgusting! But no not really, if you think about it that's pretty smart. Think of it as recycling. Someone didn't need it so we took it and made temporary use from it. Gangster.
It was really cold. Greg was the first one that suggested to make a bonfire so we could warm up a little bit. It wasn't a bad idea but at the same time what if someone saw us. We were technically trespassing and I really don't wanna go to juvenile. Not yet and not for a cliche reason like that.
Thank god we had a lot of blankets and pillows, otherwise our asses would freeze.
Lee was the first one to be drunk, Jay followed then Emily, Vicky, Bruce and the rest. I wasn't feeling it that night, I wanted to have fun but without drinking and I did to be honest. I also got introduced to yet another guy and another character of this 'wonderful' story. So, my dear reader, clap it up for Joes cousin Daniel.
Daniel was shorter and skinnier than Joe, he had short black curly hair and blue eyes. Cool right? He wore denim ripped jeans and a thick black hoodie. The holes in his jeans were covered by a black and white bandanna that Daniel tied himself. When I asked him why? He answered with " I don't want my knees to be cold."

It was past 12 a.m already, the cake was eaten, candles blown and wishes were made, most of the guests were already gone and by that I mean that they either left or were too intoxicated with alcohol to move their muscles. Lee was passed out on the ground with a blanket covering him and a pillow under his head. He slept like a baby. Jay was lying down right next to me, his head inches away from mine. Both of us just staring at the night starry sky above us through a hole in the roof of the shed. The two of us didn't say a word just watched the sky only until he looked at me and said, " Lou, can I have a hug?" He asked, I don't know if he was drunk or tipsy but most probably the first one since he would never say anything like that. I nodded and wrapped my hand around his chest since I was too lazy to get up. The boy wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer.
I felt like he was slowly drifting to sleep so I got up and walked to my house to take a quick piss. Once I stepped out of my house I felt my phone buzz so I pulled it out and Jays name popped up and lit my screen. I swiped to answer.
L- Yeah?
J- Where the hell are you?
L- Home? Coming back to the trap house now...
J- No, stay there, don't move and don't breathe. Alex, Greg and I are coming to pick you up.
L- Pick me up? Why and where are we gon-
He hung up. Great!
After a minute I saw Greg's car pull up to my drive way and Jay opened the door. "Get in loser we're going shopping!" Exclaimed Alex through the opened window of the car, " Was that a line from mean girls?" I asked in a middle of giggling. " Maybe..." he added as I got in and closed the door.
"Where are we going?" I asked curiously, "Park.." sighed Jay as he leaned back and closed his eyes. For the whole ride I was leaning forward since I was talking to Alex and Greg about random shit and letting Jay rest.
All of a sudden I felt Jay pat my shoulder, I looked behind to see him looking back at me. He opened his arms and I sent him a questioning look. "What? You want another hug?" I asked playfully, he smiled and nodded. I leaned back and rested my head on his chest while his arm was wrapped around my shoulder. We rode like that to the park and picked up few people that I didn't know and Greg drove me back to my house since I had to go home. I hugged Jay goodbye and he squeezed me tightly, I could smell the alcohol that drenched his clothes and I left the car.
As I walked towards my house I saw Bruce, Vicky, Emily and Thomas. Bruce sent me a smirk and asked teasingly, "Where's Jay?" "Piss off" I laughed and hugged them goodbye as I stepped back into my house.
Once I reached my room I collapsed on my bed and texted Isai.
Louise👽- Yooooo! I have so much to tell you. I don't know what time it is in Kenya right now but text me as soon as you can.
It sucked that once again Isaiah wasn't here to talk to me whole night long but he was on a vacation for our winter break so I couldn't blame him.
We scheduled a whole nighter in the trap house on the 19th and I literally couldn't wait for that.
