Links eyes widened and Urbosa seemed shocked. Yet no one said anything not even zelda. "Y....Yuki?" Slowly the girl nodded and removed her mask revealing the face he had been dying to see for months now. "Yuki!" Was all she heard before she was being crushed against Link who literally had her in a vice like grip. She hesitated before slowly wrapping her arms around him. It didn't take long before she broke down in his arms and cried "I'm sorry...I'm so sorry." "Shhhh" he rubbed her back as he attempted to sooth the now crying female in his arms. "Why did you leave me Yuki? I was so lonely." Urbosa noticed everyone was listening and coughed loudly "move all of you." Zelda hesitated, she wanted to know why Yuki had left as well.
It took a few moments but eventually she pulled away enough to look at him. She didn't care that everyone else was there. She just needed to get this off her chest. So she told him. She told him everything. From the heartbreak, to the depression, to how she thought she was no good for him. "Nonsense. If you can sit there and tell me off and live, and still keep going after all of that then you're one strong woman." It was Revali who spoke this time. Link blinked before he broke out laughing "you Insulted him? Damn I would have loved to see that." This got a small smile out of her as well as a thank you.
She eventually pulled away from link and looked at zelda who was obviously antsy "come on." Zelda looked at her before she suddenly tackled her. "You big idiot. Making us worry about you." Yuki stumbled but was soon steadied by Link. She held onto Zelda rubbing the girls back "I know, I know I'm sorry. I'm an idiot. I won't do it again." "You won't cause next time I'm going with you. Or I'll kick your ass then drag you back screaming." She shuddered at the threat knowing Link was dead serious this time.
Once Zelda had calmed down enough to release Yuki did she step back and smile "welcome home." Yuki returned the smile "I'm home." Even Urbosa couldn't keep from smiling "well I meant to take you home. But it seems I just delivered you to him." This made  everyone laugh "Yuki?" "Yeah Link?" "Two things. One can I give you your necklace back? And two....did you....did you go home?" Yuki let out a sigh "to answer the first question. Yes you may return it. As to your second question...yes. I was there. I saw it all. My mother....she...she's dead." That last part was still almost impossible to talk about.
Link rubbed her back before he reached into his pocket and pulled out the necklace she had left behind 6 months ago. She went to take it but he stopped her and motioned for her to turn around. Once her necklace was back on did he realize something was missing "Eien?" She sighed "we got separated...." Link frowned, that had to of killed her. She loved her horse. "Try whistling for him Yuki. You never no." She nodded and soon let out a shrill whistle hoping that Eien was close enough to hear her.
They waited a few moments but nothing happened and Yuki frowned even more upset then she was "shhh we'll find him." He was just relieved to have her in front of him again. He went to help her onto Epona so they could head home when they heard something running right towards them "oh goddess please don't let it be anymore monsters." It was Mipha who spoke. Yuki frowned before listening and then ran towards the sound "Yuki?!" Several voices screamed at once. When all of a sudden a pure black horse broke out of the forest and she grabbed the reigns jumping onto Eiens back and yanked hard forcing him to slow down.
"Holy, Eien!" Link ran over and petted the horses muzzle "I've missed you too." He was chucking. Daruk had helped zelda onto her horse and soon Link was getting back onto Epona "I will see you all in a months time at hyrule castle town. And from there we shall head to the springs so I can pray to the goddess." They all agreed easily. Yuki didn't say anything since she wasn't involved in this "that goes for you too Yuki." That causes her eyes to widen "you're a part of this. Not just because you're Links partner but you're my friend." Link grimaced and looked at Yuki who was shocked "we gotta see dad first then we can head home till I'm needed again."
Yuki slowly nodded "does anyone know about my siblings or my father?" "I'm sorry Yuki." She sighed it was worth a shot to ask. Zelda bit back an answer as they headed home. It took them almost all day as Link was constantly making sure Yuki was okay only to be snapped at. She sighed as he flinched "I'm sorry. I'm just really tired." He gave her a sheepish smile "I understand. You always were grumpy when you don't sleep enough." This made her laugh "This is true." They were side by side so he reached over and cupped her face. Subconsciously she leaned into his touch and sighed.
He smiled and soon removed his hand much to her dislike. However they needed to get home. They were already back in castle town so they were no longer in any major rush. They were able to take their time and catch up as they made their way to the castle. Eventually they arrived and all three dismounted. The guards were surprised. Then they saw who was with them and couldn't help but smile. Link had found her. She was back and now maybe his mood would improve. He was much harder to work with when miserable after all.
The trio went inside to the throne room being very silent Incase Zelda's father was busy. Yuki stayed behind Link the entire time. She was honestly nervous to be here again. "Ah, welcome back my daughter, Link." He raises an eyebrow as he noticed a third person. "Come out of hiding." Link gently urged her forward and she sighed as she stepped into his line of sight. The king froze dropping his papers as he stood "you're alive." "I am." He smiled as he walked down and embraced the young woman "welcome back young lady." She hugged him back tightly "thank you." She had just pulled back when someone else ran into the room "she's home?!" She immediately recognized this voice and turned to face Kaito. A soft smile forming on her face "I am." And with that she was once again being pulled into another bone crushing hug. "You need to come with me right away! I have to show you something."
Yuki was confused and so was Link. Yet Zelda and her father smiled "go, the both of you. Father and i have much to discuss now. I shall see you both in a month." Yuki nodded and soon ran after Kaito "Link." He looked back at zelda "ha?" "Don't forget to take her there." He blinked as he suddenly remember "alright." And with that he was gone racing after the other two. Once he caught up did he see they were both waiting on their horses for him "Come on Link hurry up!" Yuki was giggling "I'm coming I'm coming calm down." He laughed as he got on Epona "not like it's gonna run away." She raises an eyebrow "you never no." And with that she was off going after Kaito. Link wasn't far behind he had refused to let her out of his sight for even a moment.
As they got closer Yuki could hear laughter. Laughter that sounded so familiar to her. She didn't even wait for Eien to slow down she just jumped off her horse and ran in the direction of the sound. Praying that she wasn't hearing things. "Yuki?!" Link was startled as she jumped and quickly dismounted. He caught up just in time to see her fall to her knees and pull two kids into a hug "Saya! Kai!" Yuki was crying. She thought she would never see them again. Yet here they were in front of her alive. Link knelt down as well and soon joined in with the hug. Kaito couldn't help but watch with a smile as he settled down the horses "that's not all Yuki." She looked up and saw her father. He had a limp but he was other wise alive and well. She let her siblings go and ran right to him.
Hiro easily caught her as he embraced her tightly "how?" "We got lucky." She looked up tears still falling down her face but she didn't care. Her family was here "mom...." "I know, i heard you buried her." She was shocked how did he know "I got here this morning, the king and zelda knew we arrived and kept it a secret. However little lady I know you ran away on us." Yuki sighed as she explained once again what caused it. Hiro sighed but understood. His daughter was suffering and she didn't know how to handle it so she ran "just don't do it again brat." She sniffled as she promised to never leave again. Link walked over and nodded at Hiro happy to see him alive as well. He was just as happy to see the kids "where are you staying?" "Here, Kaito is letting us stay with him. Several other members of our village are here but most scattered to other towns for the time being. Roughly 30 of us are alive."
Yuki nodded it was a lot. Not as big as she hoped but she was glad some had survived that brutal night. Link and Yuki stayed a bit longer before the two decided to head home. "Now you love birds better behave!" Yuki scowled "it's not like that. He's my partner!" Link frowned at that. It was high time they had a talk about that. He wasn't just her damn partner and she damn well didn't see him like that either. He loved her for God's sakes. "Yeah, we're gonna talk about all of this tonight." She looked at him and nodded "alright." He then took off Yuki right behind him. "One pit stop along the way and then we're going home." She raised an eyebrow but said nothing.
It didn't take long before they arrived at their destination and she was in awe. Never before had she seen such a peaceful place "it's beautiful..." "it is." He led her up to where he had claimed the master sword and looked at the tree "I've brought her." She raised an eyebrow "Link...that's a tree." He didn't say anything as he tightened his grip on her hand before he wrapped an arm around her waist. "Shhh" "Link" just then another voice spoke "ah so this is going Yuki. I must say, she's lovely." Yuki's eyes widened and she looked at link "it talks?" "Yep." She looked back at the tree "I'm glad you are well child of Atinila." She was surprised he knew but said nothing. "When I heard of the masacre I felt sorrow. It was such a beautiful village. It's fall will not be forgotten. Tell me child. Do you know of Anilya village?" She stiffened "ah you do. I take it you've been there?" "I've been close to it. It's not on any map. I saw a sign with the name but i couldn't get in. To many monsters for myself alone." "That is correct, when you visit there again child and you should for it holds valuable information that you will one day need. I would like you to return and tell me what you find." Yuki wanted to say no but looked at link and found herself saying yes. "Good, have a safe trip home. And goodnight." And with that all was silent. Link led her back out of the forest and to the horses.
By the time they arrived home it was quite late and they decided they would eat dinner and talk tomorrow. After they were done and the horses were put away for the night did Link pick Yuki up like she was a princess or a bride and carried her to his room before dropping her into his bed "oh!" She was startled as she looked up at him. "Link this isn't my room." He shrugged and removed her boots and then his own before he tossed her one of his shirts "change I'll be right back." She blushed bright red but changed anyway. She slid on the royal blue shirt which fell just above her knees. Since it was so baggy it sort of hung off her shoulders. She sat back down and played with her hair until Link returned. He was just in a pair of blue boxers which caused her to blush "ummm" he chuckled and sat next to her "we'll talk in the morning okay?" "Alright." He laid down and pulled her on top of him and closed his eyes "it's good to have you home Yuki." She waited a few moments before she spoke herself "it's good to be back. I've missed you." "And I missed you." They said nothing else as she snuggled into his side. If she was honest this made her happy. Being in his arms. Being next to him. It made her happy. She had an idea of what the talk was gonna be about and honestly it was a very long over do talk. One she couldn't keep running from. With that as her final thought did she finally completely settle down and fell asleep in his arms. Link smiled as he watched her sleep before he soon followed after her. Needless to say the morning to come was going to be very interesting.
