When Yuki woke up she was still in Link's arms. She gently moved away from him, being careful to not wake him in the process. Standing up she walked over to what use to be a dresser and opened some of the drawers, they were empty however, so she decided to check a few more places before she realized there was nothing of use in this room. Carefully making her way out of the room she headed down to another, opening the door she could tell it was once her little brothers room, she looked around before she left it and closed the door. Headed down to the last room she opened the door and cringed, the room was in ruins, showing a fight had most likely started in there. Looking around to see what was inside, however she didn't find much, just some ruined clothes, and knocked over cases, with a sigh she headed to the living room, peeking in on what use to be her room she saw that Link was still asleep where she left him.
Carefully heading into the living room did she look around, checking places that Link had looked at before she opened the closet door, her eyes widened as she saw an assortment of weapons, most of which were still in great condition. Carefully she took out some swords before she grabbed the arrows that were hidden in there. Checking it a few more times she realized she had found arrows, daggers, long swords, katanas, and some broadswords. Just as she finished clearing it out did she hear the floor creak. Drawing her own sword she waited to see who or what it was. "Yuki?" Link spoke as he came into the living room. She easily relaxed and put away her sword. "It's just you." He raised an eyebrow confused "did you expect someone else?" "No, but I wasn't sure either." He nodded as he walked over to see what she found "Jesus, your family defiantly knew how to hide and hoard weapons didn't they?"
She nodded "it seems so, sorry I left but i wanted to see what was in here." He nodded "it's alright, I figured you would explore the house, you doing okay though?" She nodded "yeah, let's get some of this together and head out, I wanna see what else we can find, behind this house there's a path, it's blocked off now so we need to find a way around it or over it." He nodded as she spoke "any idea what could be in there?" "No, I actually have no idea, but I hope it's something that can help us." "Yeah, anything of use is great, however I don't think Gai was after anything in this town." Yuki frowned "maybe not here, but what about what's behind this town?" He frowned as he thought about this "you might be right, anyway let's get a move on, the longer we wait here the more exposed to danger we are exposed to." Nodding the two packed away their weapons that they had found.
Link watched as Yuki easily hid weapons on her body before he put some away in his pouch, the swords however he put in a spare bag that was used for traveling and with that the two took off. Leaving the house through the back door did Link finally notice the path Yuki had spoken of. "I see what you meant now, the path has definitely been closed off, but I'm pretty sure that the two of us can climb over it." She looked at him before shrugging, "it seems like it's our only choice, it doesn't seem like there is another way in, and even if there was, I feel like it wouldn't lead us to the path." He sighed "alright, up you go." She blinked before she realized he was picking her up and helping her grab the first ledge "thank you." "You're welcome Yuki, now, keep climbing until you reach the top." She nodded and started to climb up, Link being right behind her.
As the two finally made it to the top of the fallen pillars did Link look down and grimace. "That paths been overgrown, plants everywhere it's hard to see where it goes." Yuki sighed as she also looked down. "Then just follow my lead, I feel an unusual pull like it's trying to guide me." He looked at her and nodded "alright, I'll climb down first, then I'll catch you as you climb down." Nodding she watched as he made his way down the pillars holding her breath as he slipped only to retighten his grip and continue his way down. Once he made it to the floor did Yuki let out the breathe she had been holding. "Alright Yuki, it's your turn, climb down." Grabbing onto the ledge of the pillar she was sitting on she slowly began her climb down, following the path Link had taken, only to tighten her grip at the spot he had slipped at. She was curious though, what was strong enough to knock over this pillar? As she got closer to the bottom did she feel Links hands grab her sides and gently helped her all the way down. "There, now we're down." She looked at him before nodding. "Let's keep going."
She knelt down and brushed some of the grass away she noticed the path seemed to be leading them straight. Looking at Link she stood up and started walking. Neither of them spoke, Link was just watching Yuki as she easily avoided the fallen debris, he watched as she took in everything around her and noticed how she stopped to memorize the area she was in. Yuki checked to see where the path next took them only to see most of it had indeed vanished under the wildlife. With a sigh she turned to look at Link "the path here is gone, so we're going in blind at this point, no matter what Link, I need you to trust me and have my back." He raised an eyebrow before he pulled her towards him, wrapping his arms around her in a vice like grip "you ask the silliest things, I've already said, I'm going to follow you, I don't care if we go in blind, I trust you on this completely, somehow even without your memory, you know this place, you know it's layout, and I'm always going to have your back, so if we're done with the random questions and what not I would like to see what's here."
Yuki blushed but nodded "alright." She placed a chaste kiss to his lips which left him stunned and she quickly moved away and started following the path that she felt was right, Link blinked completely caught off guard but quickly ran after her and wrapped his arms around her "huh?" Not even thinking he turned her around and stole her lips in a kiss. She closed her eyes as he pulled her against him and wrapped her own arms around his neck. Deepening the kiss she shivered as he licked her lower lip. Yet she denied him entry to her mouth which made him growl "Yuki." She giggled as she pulled back to look at him. "When we finish what we came here for and head home." As she was speaking he slanted his mouth back over her and slid his tongue into her mouth making her moan as grip his shirt. "Mmm I'll hold you to that Yuki." She shivered at the needy look in his eyes. "You got what you wanted though." He raised an eyebrow at her and leaned forward to nip her ear before he whispered "yes, but I never said i was done." Biting her ear she gasped and bit her lip pulling away slowly. He smirked as he saw the now lustful look in her eyes. "Lead the way love." She stuck her tongue out at him before she headed back down the way she was originally going.
Quickly following after her it wasn't long before they reached an area that was split into two sections. "Which way?" Yuki frowned as she focused on what she felt before she headed down the left path, Link quickly running after her. The two quickly made their way through the twists and turns before they arrived at what once use to be a temple. "Holy hell." Yuki looked at Link before she shrugged and headed inside "Yuki, damn it wait up!" He ran inside after her his sword drawn until he saw her standing in a pool of water in front of a stone monument that was written in an ancient language "Yuki? Can you read that?" She looked over at him and nodded, "i can, I remember now, I've been here before." He raised an eyebrow "I was here over 100 years ago, In this very spot." His eyes widened as she told him that.
"100 years ago you were here....and I'm taking it I wasn't with you." She shook her head no "you weren't, I was alone." He frowned "but we we're always together." She shrugged "I'm assuming something happened, and chances are I ran away, this was after the masacre of Atinila. I came here multiple times, but never got inside of here, I spent days trying to map the area, days memorizing what paths were safest to travel. I got hurt, a few monsters at one point had made this area their home. I cleaned the area out, and seems they never returned." Link listened as she spoke "it's probably because this is sacred land, and most monsters can not touch it." She nodded "anyway this tablet, well monument dates back to a story from 10,000 years ago." Link choked on his air as she said that. "Hylia that's old, how can you read it?" Yuki shrugged "no idea, can you read it though?"
He looked at her before looking back over at the monument. "I can, not completely but i can tell it's telling a story, I can make out almost everything but the ending." Yuki nodded "shall I read it to you?" "Yes." She nodded as she began to tell him the story. "Once 10,000 years ago, there was a village named Aniyla. It was known for its peaceful living and crops, it was also known as the village of time. A woman named Akayla lived there, and prayed everyday to the gods, for a way to help her people. Even though it was a peaceful era she sill felt as if something dark and sinister was approaching her home rapidly." She took a breath and Link was in awe, she was reading it so clearly, where as he was having trouble keeping up. "One day a man appeared and with him he brought darkness, claiming he was going to be the new ruler of this world. Akayla tried to reason with him, make him see the error of his ways, yet he laughed in her face. Saying how she was a foolish girl who didn't know when to be silent. Akayla who was a peaceful and loving woman and knew no hate and helped any all that she could was beginning to feel defeated. The man spoke again this time addressing himself as Calamity Ganon. Any who left with him would be spared his wrath, and given a place by his side. Many were tempted but didn't move, only one family went with him. No one else however had moved. And ganon was fuming. Calling them all foolish did he finally unleash deadly monsters upon the village. Monsters that literally came from no where. People ran, some fled Anilya, but in a moment of true despair did the gods finally hear Akayla's plea. Granting the girl the powers that had always been dormant inside of her." Link watched as she knelt down to read the final parts.
"Akayla unleashed her power, freezing the entire village. Time had stopped in Anilya was frozen. Nothing moved, no monsters, people, water, Fire, or the animals. Everything had been frozen. Ganon however had escaped and the only two could move were Akayla and Hylia. The two quickly left and traveled the land searching for a way to seal the evil away and restore peace to this world. Eventually it was years later when they succeeded. Together with the hero of legend welding the blade that seals darkness did they finally seal Calamity Ganon. With the help of the divine beasts on their side it was almost easy. And then a price was paid, as Akayla used her time to seal away Ganon did she fall over into Hylia's arms. Hylia watched with tears streaming down her face as her best friend died in her arms. From that day forth Hyrule had known peace. And Akayla was buried, with a promise that one day she would return." She stopped talking and turned to Link "that's....holy hell, Akayla was the goddess of time, and now 10,000 years later her descendant is somewhere out there." "That is correct. And she needs to be found, but remember Anilya also needs to be found, it's been frozen for over 10,000 years." Link shuddered at that.
"I can't imagine being frozen for that long. What do you think will happen when they get to finally wake up?" Yuki shrugged. "I'm not sure, but i want to find this place and see what could be there, perhaps there is more to this story." "Maybe. But for now let's head home and then from there try to figure out who the goddess of time might be." "Yes, I agree, and we should also find out where the heart of time is located." Link pulled out his slate and looked at the map before motioning for Yuki to come over. "Perhaps here, at the temple of time." "We'll check it out another day, for now let's go retrieve the horses and head home. I've had enough of this place." He nodded and wrapped his arm around her as they finally fast traveled back to Kakariko Village. Both with more questions then answers at this point. But perhaps impa would be able to help them with this one. And with that they vanished into a blue light.
