Yuki and Link had finally entered Rudania only for the door to seal shut and leave them in total darkness. "Oh you have to be kidding me." Yuki frowned as she listened to Link. Looking around she spotted a torch and lit it using the blue flame that was next to them. "I'll guide us, you just make sure nothing attacks me." Link looked over and nodded "I won't let a single thing touch you." With that being said Yuki nodded and headed over towards another torch. Link noticed this and followed after her killing the guardian scout that was nearby. Yuki looked over at link and gave him a weak smile before the two headed over to the torch. Quickly lighting it she noticed how the gate opened and she went through, listening more then she looked around she could hear something unusual.
Nudging link she motioned for him to look around and he nodded. Quickly glancing around he grimaced as he spotted several forms of malice. "Right, just what we needed." Link chuckled as he took the fire from her. "Why don't you take them out, your aim is better then mine." Yuki shrugged and in a few moments she had destroyed any and all traces of malice from that room. Taking the torch back from Link she motioned for him to follow her yet again. Once they had lit all the torches, did Link go inside the room and activate the guidance stone. "Way to go you guys. You now have a map of Rudania, on it you can access some of the controls and see where the terminals are located. There are five of them in all. Please, be careful." Yuki looked over at link before she looked down at the slate in his hands. "Hmm, this seems more like a puzzle then Ruta did."
Link looked as well and nodded. "definitely feels like more of a headache. Think you can map out a plan?" Yuki Bit her lip as she studied where one or two of the terminals would be a bit easier to reach at the moment. "Without seeing the full layout of this and what the controls do? It'll be hard. I can form a semi decent one but it probably won't be completed together till I've looked around the room and seen what the controls can do." Link looked at her as she spoke. "That makes sense, so do you wanna look around or study the slate?" Biting her lip she looked at the slate one more time before she handed it back to him. "I should only need it to see where and or how close we are to the terminals. Other then that we can look around and I can try to map out what I see and formulate an actual plan." While Yuki looked around the room link went and took what was needed out of the chests that were now laying around. Seeing her stop in front of a pair of doors did he finally make his way over to her. "What is it Yuki?"
"These doors look like they're made of metal. But that giant block of wood keeps us from being able to open it." She looked over at him as she said this. Link looked at her then back at the door. "You're right, perhaps we can use the fire we used earlier to burn it." Yuki nodded "we could, I would much rather save whatever arrows we still have." Link nodded as he went over and lit a torch that was still laying around. Walking over to the door did he reach up with the flame. Yuki frowned as she realized he didn't quite reach so she walked over. "Should we just throw it?" He raised an eyebrow at her "no. Because we don't need it breaking, what if we need it again?" Yuki nodded as he said this. "True, i didn't even think of that." Link raised an eyebrow "now that I don't believe. Anyway we need to find a way to reach this." Yuki frowned as she tried to think of something. "I could put you on my shoulders, and with your added height perhaps then we can reach." Yuki blinked as link said that. "As good of an idea as that is link, you didn't factor in how much I weight."
He blinked before he stared at her. "Yuki, you realize I've carried you around before right? You weight literally nothing." Yuki blushed as he said that "t...that might be true but you've never tried to put me on your shoulders." He shrugged "first time for everything." Carefully putting down the wooden torch, he slowly made his way towards Yuki. Yuki went to back away but link reached over and grabbed her hand. "Come on, up you go." Yuki was blushing as he knelt down in front of her. "Link, I don't know if this is a good idea...." he groaned before he turned his head back towards her. "Would you just get on, we don't know how well this'll work if you don't even try." Yuki sighed as she reluctantly nodded and moved so she could be easily lifted. Once he felt her legs where were they needed to be did he carefully stand up. Holding onto her one hand and her lower back he finally stood. "Okay, this is the hard part. I'm going to get the torch, and hand it up to you Okay?" Yuki nodded and held onto the door as link slowly leaned down to retrieve the torch. Once he had it did he hold it up to Yuki.
Carefully taking the torch from Link did Yuki stretch up and finally reach the bar that sealed the other two doors shut. Quickly link backed away and Yuki dropped the torch as link knelt down down. She quickly moved and stepped back from him. Link turned to look at her once he was standing with a raised eyebrow "what?" "You need to eat more, you literally weigh almost nothing." Yuki blinked before she laughed "you're impossible Link, you see what I eat." "Yeah, and i think you should eat some more. It shouldn't be possible for you to be this light." She shrugged "maybe you just have more muscle." Which was true, Link definitely had more muscle then she did, but that's also cause his training was more intense as he got older, while Yuki had a strict training regime herself link's was different. "I guess, anyway, let's get in there." With a nod she turned towards the doors and watched as link activated Magnesis. Using that he pulled open the doors and the two went inside.
Upon entering Yuki saw a terminal and smiled "here's one of them." He nodded as he activated it. "Good job you two, now there are only four terminals left before you can activate the main one. Keep up the good work." Yuki looked at link before she walked out of the room and over towards another door. Peeking through the hole she saw a torch like object that needed to be lit. "Link can you put that blue fire on an arrow for me?" He nodded as he held an arrow over the flame and soon handed it to her. "What are you doing with that?" "You'll see." She aimed her bow and arrow at the opening and released it quickly hitting the unlit torch which now opened the door. "Whoa." Yuki laughed as she went through and looked around noticing how the one area was constantly letting out fire. "Hey Link, think you can move that box to stop the fire? And when you're done I'm gonna try something." He shrugged but did as she asked and then handed her the slate. "Here Yuki. But what are you doing?"
"You'll see. Might wanna move over towards a wall though." He blinked and before he could move he felt the entire place shake. "What the?" Yuki had activated the controls on Rudania and grabbed onto Link as the beast shrieked. Both of them slid down towards the far left of the wall and Link groaned as he pulled Yuki towards him. "What on hyrule did you just do?" "Shifted the dynamics of Rudania. To simply explain, I activated its controls and made it so Rudania would be at a 90 degree angle. See how we can get through the fire now? Behind there is a terminal, and it looks like once we activate it the flames should stop." Link blinked as she explained this. "And this took you how long to figure out?" "Eh approximately 5 minutes not even. Basically I went on a hunch" he blinked "you're telling me you just winged this, even though you basically figured out the exact movements to a T." "Mmm yeah, why is that bad?" He laughed as he hugged her "no it's actually really impressive. And unexpected you aren't impulsive at all. And this is basically as impulsive as Im sure you'll ever get."
Yuki blinked before she shrugged, she wasn't impulsive, she carefully planned, she was always steps ahead of what everyone else was and always ready to move. She was a serious person, she never joked around, she never really relaxed either, unless it was forced upon her. She supposed however that she should eventually learn to relax, least she faints from over exertion. "Probably, anyway that isn't that point right now, we should get through while we can and activate the terminal after I set Rudania back to normal." Link nodded as he helped Yuki over to the other side and carefully followed after her. Once Yuki had Rudania set to normal did she finally had over the slate. "Alright, now it's your turn, unfortunately Rudania doesn't have a layout map, it just tells me where we can possibly locate the terminals." He nodded as he walked over an activated yet another terminal. And like before Daruk spoke to them. It didn't take long for them to finish activating all the terminals. "Alright you two, that's the last one, now to just head up and activate the main terminal and take back Rudania from ganon."
Link looked at Yuki and nodded as they once more turned Rudania and made their way to the top, from there they put it back to normal. And much like with ruta did a monster appear. "Be careful you two! This thing is what caused me to meet my end over 100 years ago." Yuki grimaced as she looked at it and quickly activated the slate as it shrieked. "Link, it's called fireblight ganon. We'll have to aim for it's eye, and once it's on the ground we can really let out some damaging blows." Nodding the two quickly engaged the creature in battle. Once they were halfway done did Yuki notice it was using some kind of protection to keep her arrows from hitting. "Link! It's using something similar to Daruk's protection, use a bomb to shock the hell out of that thing and let's finish this!" Link looked over at Yuki and nodded. "You got it Yuki!" Quickly selecting the bomb rune did he activate it and throw it just as the creature started to power up another attack.
Yuki narrowed her eyes and Link detonated the bomb and grinned as it worked. "Yes! You did it!" Link chuckled before he started to once again attack the monster. It didn't take long before Yuki fired the final arrow right into its eye. With a horrid scream he creature blew up into purple smoke and Link wrapped an arm around Yuki. "Now, Thats how you finish a battle." She giggled as he leaned down and kissed her "let activate this terminal and get out of here." She nodded. And Link quickly activated the main control unit. They spoke with Daruk and Link kept an arm around her as he received Daruk's protection. "You two should get going, your job is far from done, tell the princess I said hi by the way." Link and Yuki both vanished into a bright light as they were went back to Goron village.
Once back they went to find the elder who was laughing yet at the same time complaining how it seemed like he was making up his injury. "Anyway, you can take the treasure from inside my house, the great Daruk once used it. Should it ever need to be repaired take it to our blacksmith and he will replace it for you." Link went inside and took the Champions item before going back to Yuki. "Okay, time to head the hell home." Yuki laughed. "Yes, I agree." He held her towards him and selected the shrine near their house, both soon vanished into the blue light as they fast traveled home.
