It wasn't much longer before both Link and Yuki made it to Akkala and stopped at the stable to see what was in the area. Upon hearing that a man named Robbie lived in the area just up the hill did the two look at each other and agreed to head that way. As they traveled Link would occasionally look at Yuki to make sure she was okay. She had been silent since they left the one stable. "Yuki?" She looked over but chose to not speak. "Are you alright? You're not talking...did I do something wrong?" She blinked before her grey eyes widened in shock. "What? How did you get that idea?" "You're just silent, and you're not acting like yourself." She sighed "I'm sorry, you didn't do anything wrong. I'm trying to memorize the entire layout of this area so I'm spacey." He blinked before he suddenly looked relieved. Not even thinking he reached over and grabbed her hand the one with the ring and held it tightly in his own.
"I should have noticed that, honestly, that's something you do a lot. I just wasn't expecting you to be so silent." She laughed and squeezed his hand. "I'm still sorry, I completely forgot about how you notice my random mood changes." He smiled as they arrived at the lab where Robbie supposedly lived. Helping Yuki dismount her horse did he take her hand before leading her inside. "Who are you two?" The man had asked, he recognized them but wanted them to confirm this themselves. "I'm Yuki. Yuki of Atinila." She spoke with a gentle voice as she smiled at the man. "And I'm Link." Robbie nodded "show me your proof." Yuki blinked before she revealed the scar on her side from what she assumed was the battle she was in and Link showed his. Robbie however recognized the ring Yuki wore as he was there the day she was sealed away. "Alright, Link, why don't you go and activate the furnace and we can get cherry working so I can make you some ancient weapons."
Link shrugged and reached for Yuki's hand only for Robbie to stop him. "She stays here, I have some questions for her." Link scowled but left to go and light the furnace with the blue flame. Yuki looked at Robbie with a frown. "Now why did you do that?" Robbie looked at her and motioned for her to sit. With a sigh she sat down "what do you remember before your sleep?" She shrugged "I woke with no memory." Robbie nodded "Pruah had told me this, I think I know what went wrong, but I'm assuming you've recovered some memories." "I have. But what went wrong?" "I went to hateno recently, to the chamber you slept in, it was damaged, like someone had tried to stop you're awaking, or like it was damaged before hand, which would explain the complete memory loss." Yuki blinked as she looked at him "I noticed that, the top piece it almost looked like it was cracked." Robbie nodded "yes so that probably is why your memory is incomplete, and why you feel pain when you try. Do you still feel pain?" She frowned before she nodded "if I try to recall more then what I know now, my head explodes with pain." Robbie nodded as he wrote it down.
"You make ancient weapons?" "Yes." "Why?" He looked at her "it's the fastest and most effective way to destroy a guardian." She blinked as she recalled how easily the arrow she had used destroyed the sky guardian. "You've seen it I take it" she nodded as Robbie continued to write. "Do you know who gave you that promise ring?"he watched her frown and sighed "that's a no I take it." With a sigh he looked back at her "if I recall, princess Zelda told us Link had given you that ring." Yuki's eyes widened and immediately she was overwhelmed with guilt, Link had given her the ring? If that was true she was awful for having forgotten that. "I'm not sure though so don't feel so bad if you forgot. If it's true you'll remember when and why eventually." She sighed as she removed the ring and noticed the words forever in time was engraved onto it. Robbie had recognized it as links handwriting and smiled a bit. The boy had loved Yuki for so long, and still to this day he loved her.
"The final battle where you fell, I wonder what happened, Link fell in that very same battle, I've always been curious as to what could possibly not only take you down, but link as well." Yuki sighed "we probably had to many injuries, for as skilled as we are even we have limitations." "That's very true Yuki, you and Link might be Hylians but you have limits. And with a battle that harsh you were both bound to eventually fall." He went to say more when all of a sudden Cherry spoke and she came to life "ah! My cherry she lives!" Yuki looked at the door putting the ring back on just as Link came back inside. "What's wrong?" She looked at him and he scowled. "There's a fucking decayed guardian out there, it almost killed me." Yuki's eyes widened and without thinking she ran to him and checked for any visible injuries. "Calm down Yuki, I'm not hurt, Mipha's Grace helped me heal." She nodded before she went outside to look down the path and there she saw the guardian. "How come it didn't attack earlier?" "Honestly, I have no idea. I don't even know why it attacked now." Yuki frowned before she closed the door in links face "Yuki?!" He yanked the door open just intime to see her walking towards the guardian that was now turning red. "Yuki!" She couldn't hear him however, she was to far away. He ran down the path hoping to get to her in time. Nothing but panic filled him as he watched it take aim at her.
Yuki looked at the guardian before she reached her hand out "I won't let you, hurt anyone I care about." Reaching for it she finally placed her hand against the machinery. Links eyes widened in horror then shock as the red glow began to vanish and turn blue. Not even thinking he threw a spear into its eye, an ancient spear at that. Robbie having seen what was happening quickly made one with the help of Cherry. Yuki's eyes widened as it started glowing and she backed away just as it exploded. Link quickly wrapped his arms around her as he turned his back towards the machine keeping Yuki sheltered. "What in Hylia's name possessed you to do something so fucking careless!" She looked at him. "Remember how the one at the sacred ground ruins didn't hurt me?" He frowned "yes but we got lucky, this one went to harm you." Yuki frowned "Link, I don't think it was luck, I think for a brief moment it recognized something." He tolled his eyes as he gathered up the stuff and pulled Yuki back up to the lab. "That was careless." Yuki rolled her eyes and he stopped before he pinned her to the closest tree. "Don't you roll your eyes. You don't seem to understand how much you worry me."
She bit her tongue as she hit the tree and she glared at him. "If Im so much trouble then let me go and we can end whatever this is." His eyes widened before they narrowed and he held her hands over her head. "No, I'm angry but I'm not stupid enough to let you leave me." "Apparently I cause you nothing but trouble. Since I'm so careless. So yes, whatever this is, whatever we are, it's over" he growled before he captured her mouth in a harsh and hungry kiss. Her eyes widened, and as much as tried to avoid kissing him in return she eventually failed. Parting her lips he slid his tongue inside her mouth and sought out her tongue before he wrapped his own around the tender muscle. With a moan she tried to break the kiss but he held her face in his hand. Weakly moaning she eventually managed to turn her head and gasped for air. He watched her try to calm her erratic breathing. Looking down he frowned and made her look at him again. "Just because I'm angry or I'm upset doesn't mean I want us to end. That isn't gonna fix anything. I'm angry because you need to put yourself first, because it could have killed you." She huffed as she avoided his gaze only to have her face gently lifted as grey and blue met. "You're my everything Yuki. I know you wanted to protect me, but I also wanna protect you, so please, just warn me before you try to run off."
She sighed before nodding. He slowly let her go and frowned "did I hurt you?" "No." He wrapped an arm around her and carefully led her inside. "I'm aware for some reason they seem to stop when they see you, but that could just be a coincidence." Robbie looked up and frowned. "Actually, 100 years ago she did the same thing." Both of them looked up shocked. "What?" "She did, you weren't there, but a guardian we were studying went insane, attacking any and all who got close. Yuki heard the commotion and showed up. And it was like the guardian recognized her, like it was able to tell she wasn't a threat to it. Yet she single handedly destroyed it." Link looked at Yuki amazed yet shocked all at the same time. Even Yuki was shocked, she didn't remember that at all. "But, we still don't know why. Anyway, I've made you two some ancient weapons and armor, consider it a thank you gift." Link nodded and helped Yuki put it away. Once they left they headed back to Akkala stable and put away their horses. Link paid for a bed and just as Yuki went to pay for hers did he stop her. Confused she turned to look at him before he tugged her over to the bed he was going to be using. Having told the owner to wake them around morning. Laying down he pulled Yuki down with him and wrapped his arms around her. "Sleep, we have a long way to go before we reach death mountain, and that's even using fast travel." She sighed before she snuggled against him and closed her eyes. "I love you Yuki. I always will, forever through time." She was half asleep so she didn't hear the last part. "I love you too Link." And with that she was out. Placing a gentle kiss to her forehead and smiled and soon he wAs also asleep
