Link and Yuki had finally arrived at a stable and left their horses since Link said it was probably important that they get to Kakariko as fast as possible. "Well then how are we going to do that without the horses?" "You'll see." He wrapped his arm around her tightly as he opened the map. "Link?" "Hold on tight and don't let go." Slowly she wrapped her arms around him and he clicked on the shrine that was in Kakariko and soon both him and Yuki vanished in a bright blue light.
When they re-appeared they were in Kakariko and Yuki quickly pulled away completely taken off guard and looked around as she saw they were back in the village. "What the hell was that?" "Teleportation. Also known as fast travel, it's something I can do since I have the slate. And holding onto you seemed to have brought you with me." He was relieved that they had both made it since he wasn't sure if it would work. "That was actually the first time I had done it with someone else so I wasn't sure if it would work." Her eyes widened and she hit his arm "so you decided to now test it out not knowing if I would be able to travel with you?!" He blinked and quickly grabbed her arms trying to calm her down "calm down. It worked, I was almost positive that it would work."
Yuki was trembling as she glared at him. "How dumb would you have felt if it didn't work?!" He sighed "pretty dumb, because then you would have been to far away and I would be going back to get you." She huffed as she crossed her arms. "You are so lucky that it worked Link. Or I swear to the goddess that I would have kicked your ass all the way back to Kakariko." He shuddered at the threat knowing she was dead serious. "Alright, alright, but at least now we know it works, so if in a pinch I can just grab you and teleport us to a safer location." She sighed as he spoke. "Alright, Alright. Let's go see impa. Perhaps we should re-stock our supplies though."
He nodded, they were running a bit low and he wasn't going to take any chances with it. "We'll do that as soon as we finish with impa." Taking her hand he led her down the hill and back into the village itself. Yuki looked around and fought back the urge to pull her hand away. It was obvious it still made her a bit uncomfortable but she also knew that he was someone she could trust. However, she still felt weird holding his hand. Yet at the same time it made her oddly happy. Almost like they had done this time and time again. "Doesn't it seem odd?" He looked back as she spoke. "Doesn't what seem odd?" She looked at him before she sighed "how we seem so comfortable with each other? How it feels so familiar yet unfamiliar?" Link was silent for a moment as he processed what she said.
"Honestly, yeah, I was surprised with how close I suddenly felt to you. Like I had known you my entire life. Now it just feels natural. Like this was always meant to happen." She blinked at his explanation and she slowly nodded in agreement. "However, I can't wait to figure out the rest of these memories. I wanna know what happened between the two of us." Yuki silently agreed, she especially wanted to know who gave her the ring. "I wanna know when I got this ring, and who gave it to me." Link saw her looking at the ring and frowned. "I'm curious about that too actually."
She sighed and he pulled her next to him keeping his grip on her hand as he did so. "Stay by my side Yuki. Never behind me." She smiled softly and nodded as they walked up the stairs leading to where impa was. Reluctantly letting go of her hand he opened the door allowing her to go inside first. Yet she did something that caught him off guard. The second he got through the door did she re-lace her fingers with his. His eyes widened but he smiled as he gripped her own hand. Impa had noticed this and smiled, they were beginning to recall each other. "Welcome back, is everything alright." Yuki nodded "we each managed to reclaim a memory. I can confirm now that my name is indeed Yuki and I'm from Atinila." Link nodded as she said that. "I recalled when Zelda knighted me. And parts of Yuki, as for what happened between us I'm not sure" impa nodded with a smile "here Link, I've kept this for over 100 years. I had to fix it but it belongs to you." And with that she handed him his champions tunic.
Link smiled as he took it from her. He would defiantly put it on later. "As for you Yuki, you never got to wear this but, Zelda herself had this made for you." She handed Yuki a bag and she slowly took it. "Well open it and let us see." Link laughed wanting to see what zelda had made for Yuki. Nodding she slowly opened the bag and pulled out a pair of black pants and a royal blue shirt that looked at if it would fall to her knees, but on each side it had a slit going up to the hips. On the shirt had the simple figured of an hourglass which surprised her. "An hour glass?" All of a sudden her head throbbed in pain and she dropped her bag clutching her head.
*flash back*
Yuki was sitting with Zelda in front of her house in Hateno, well the house belonged to her and Link. "An hourglass?" Yuki said "yes, for some reason I feel like it fits you know? Especially if this theory is right and you are the goddess. It represents time Yuki." Yuki sighed "and if it's not me?" "Stop thinking it's not Yuki." "But be real, let's face it, if it's indeed not me then why an hourglass." Zelda sighed and pinched her nose to keep from snapping. She was going to need Link to talk to Yuki about all her doubts. "You're great at time management let's face it Yuki. That's another reason." Yuki sighed as she stood up. "If you say so Zelda." Zelda smiled at her friend before she stood as well. "I do say so. As your friend, and not as some princess. Anyway, I'm going to be leaving soon so make sure you let Link know." Yuki raised an eyebrow "tell him I'll be heading to the desert soon." Yuki nodded. "Alright, I'll pass it along." "Oh and Yuki?" "Mmm?" "Remember, there's always more to someone then they think." And with that the princess was gone.
    *end of flashback*
"Yuki?" She slowly blinked as she came back to her senses, she was confused, why was she looking at the ceiling and why was she in links arms? "What happened?" She finally looked at him "How long was I out of it?" He sighed as she spoke looking relieved. "A half hour, scared the hell out of me." She sighed "sorry, it was a memory, or well it felt like one." This time impa spoke "can you tell me what you saw?" Yuki nodded as she started telling impa and Link what she had recalled. "All that from a shirt, however, Zelda had a theory about what?" Yuki frowned as she tried to remember that. "I don't know, but the hourglass seemed to have triggered what I remember now." "The missing goddess." Impa sighed "the goddess of time. Could perhaps Zelda have had a theory you were her?" Yuki shrugged at this point she had no idea.
"I'm sorry, I won't keep asking as it does seem to give you a horrible headache." Yuki sighed a bit relieved to not have to answer any more questions. Link carefully helped Yuki sit up before pulling her to her feet. She stumbled a bit but he caught her easily. "It's alright, I got ya."She smiled as she leaned against him for support. "Do you two know where you'll head next?" Yuki tapped her chin "can I see the sheikah slate Link?" He nodded and unclipped it before handing it to her. "Here." She nodded and mumbled a quick thanks before opening the map up. Her eyes scanning the map before focusing on one area. "Here" she pointed it to impa who tapped her chin "I believe in that direction lies Zora's Domain. Where the Champion Mipha once resigned." Yuki blinked the name not familiar at all. "Alright, so we'll head there next how does that sound Yuki?" She nodded in agreement maybe along the way she could figure out who this person was.
The two bid impa a goodbye as they left. "It's gotten dark." Link nodded as he led her down the stairs. "How onto me, I'm gonna transport us to Hateno." She nodded and wrapped her arms around him. Keeping just one arm around her he clicked on the shrine in Hateno and soon both were standing in front of said shrine. "That's still creepy." He laughed as he brushed the hair from her face. "Yeah, but after a while you get use to it." She slowly nodded as she let go of him and started heading for the house. Link followed right after her but grabbed her hand. She laughed "really?" He chuckled "yes really." She smiled at him and he froze, it was like he had seen it before. During a much simpler time. "What is it?" He chuckled "just thinking" "about?" This time he laughed "You actually. How this feels so familiar. And so right." She nodded. "Ah, getting sappy then."
He blinked surprised and slightly offended until he saw the playful smile. "Oh, now you're in trouble." "Eh?!" She quickly let his hand go and ran. Link grinned and gave her a few seconds before running after her. Yuki had just reached the house when she felt two arms wrap around her waist and lift her up. "Ahh!" He chuckled as he kept his hold on her. "I got you." She giggled "you did." He gently lowered her to the ground and she looked back at him and blushed bright red. She didn't realize his face was so close to hers. Out of instinct she shoved him away. He groaned as he felt her hand on his face pushing him away. "God damn Yuki that hurt." Her eyes widened "I'm so sorry! I panicked." He groaned as he looked at her a pout evident on his face and she shifted opening the door. "I'll make it up to you I swear."
Rolling his eyes he followed after her. Being to tired to go up to his room he walked over to the sofa and just laid there. Yuki blinked a bit confused at this. "Link, you're bed is upstairs." "To tired to move." She raised an eyebrow as she folded her arms. "Come on, you'll have a sore back in the morning." He However didn't get up he just closed his eyes. She sighed before she walked over and covered him with a blanket. Carefully she put her bag down on the floor before she laid down closing her eyes. Link opened his one eye not hearing her go up the stairs only too see her laying on the floor. "What are you doing?" "Laying on the floor." He blinked "why? It's not comfy." "Because someone's being a hard headed mule so I've decided I'll stay right here." He groaned and sat up before reaching down and lifting her into his arms. "Eh?" He shifted making more room on the sofa before he laid down and pulled her with him. "Link?" "Mmm" "what are you doing?." "Sleeping." "While holding me?" "Mhmm." She blinked and went to move only for his arm to tighten around her. "Don't even try. Just let me hold you." She sighed but snuggled back against him, the entire thing felt like dejavú. Yet she couldn't help but feel safe In his arms as she slowly drifted off into probably the best sleep she's had so far. Link watched her for a few moments before he smiled, she was sound asleep and he felt a form of being calm come over him. Something he hadn't felt since he woke up. Yawning he closed his eyes and snuggled Yuki before he fell asleep as well.
