The pair of them were now traveling to Atinila and looking for towers along the way, part of the map that looks like it was to said place was blank, and Yuki really didn't want to try and find her way through an unknown area. Link had noticed the frown on her face, well not on her face but he noticed she wasn't herself. She had been oddly silent and he didn't know how to comprehend that. He didn't even know what to do. It was like she had this wall up and was keeping him away. "So, Yuki?" She looked over at him with a raised eyebrow "don't you think we should try to get along? I mean from what Impa said we were at one point inseparable." She shrugged "I don't recall anything. I'll admit you seem familiar but I can't get how or why to completely make sense."
He sighed and had to stop himself from reaching over to touch her shoulder. "Because we knew each other Yuki, even I can remember that now. And from that one memory alone, with how the others knew you, we were very close. Meaning you had to of played a big role in my life." She sighed again as she looked ahead "while that's true, I would like to at least remember something. Just so I don't feel so lost." He nodded as he understood what she was saying. She literally was without memory and it was driving her nuts. It had to of been hard on her. She basically went into all of this blind with little to no actual understanding of what was really going on. He looked down at the map before handing it to her.
Reaching over she took the slate and zoomed in on their current location. "It looks like if we keep up this pace we might just reach it before nightfall." He nodded as they continued traveling towards their destination. The closer they got did Yuki realize the slate was beeping and handed it back to Link. He took it as he saw in the distance a shrine, and to his surprise a tower not far from that. He looked at Yuki as he tried to plan a way for her to stay safe while he did the shrine. "I want you to stay either in a tree or somewhere that's somewhat safe while I complete the shrine. Either that or we go to the tower first and you wait up there while I do the shrine second. Yuki blinked, she hadn't even thought of that. Those shrines were something he had to do alone. A challenge only the chosen hero could complete. And she was technically no one, she didn't play such a major and important role. "We can do the tower first." However if she got to antsy she would probably just take off and head right into the town herself. Link nodded as they made their way towards Atinila tower.
The pair had easily climbed the tower and Yuki sat down while he activated it. Soon the tower turned blue and the map was now on links slate. "Alright, you wait here, I'm gonna travel back to that shrine. Do.not.move." Yuki shrugged and soon link had vanished. Having activated the temple so it could be a fast travel point. An hour or two had passed and Yuki was now pacing feeling extremely anxious. So deciding that she was now done with waiting did she climb down the tower. Which in her mind was a really bad idea. She had no idea they were so high up until she had to jump the last part. She had an easy landing yet it still left her uneasy. She turned down the path and started walking till she found a ruined signed that was just barely readable. "Atinila Village...."
She figured since the village wasn't so far she should be safe to go on foot. She could only hope she would be back before Link showed up. Link had finally arrived back at the tower having completed the shrine. "Yuki I'm back." He turned to look for her and frowned. "Why do I have a really bad feeling about this?" Quickly he climbed down the tower and saw both horses and was immediately confused. "Oh for fuck sakes. Why can't she just listen?" He grabbed both horses and quickly went down the same path Yuki herself had taken. It didn't take long before he saw her standing at the gate of what looked like a once beautiful village.
He tied the horses to a tree and grabbed her arm "why couldn't you just wait damn it Yuki." He turned her to face him and saw her grey eyes were full of tears. "Yuki?" Immediately his anger and irritation vanished and instead he was worried. "This place, it's sad. I feel so much sadness." He rubbed her back "come on, let's go inside." Slowly the pair went inside only for Yuki to freeze up as a memory suddenly appeared. Link looked around and quickly drew his sword as he made sure nothing approached her.
As Yuki came back to her senses did she fall to her knees and start crying. She had remembered the mascara. She recalled, knowing Link, finding her mother dead. Quickly putting his sword away he grabbed her and cradled her to his chest as she told him in broken sobs what she had remember. And he felt his heart break as he recalled that night himself. Once she had finished crying and was now composing herself did he help her stand. "Do you want to keep looking?" "Please." He nodded as he watched her look in some houses grimacing as some places had looked ready too fall apart. Yet most of the homes were in decent shape.
Finally the pair arrived at what was once her old home and she slowly opened the door. And almost as if it was another memory did she freeze up and start to tremble. "This place, so many memories." He rubbed her back "deep breaths, calm down, don't force it." Slowly she calmed down as she went inside Link right behind her and he smiled at an old memory. "For as horrible as this place is now, we had a good memory here." She looked at him then at the mistletoe that was now dead yet still hanging above the door. "We had our first official kiss here." Yuki blushed as she recalled this particular memory. "I wonder what happened between us after this happened." He shrugged and led her back to the horses once he realized this place was really starting to effect her mental state.
Carefully helping her onto Kiro and he climbed back on his own did he make sure she left first and followed fight after her. They had to go back to impa and let her know what they had found. And now he was even more worried. Just what had happened between them, what were they, and why did that ring on her finger seem so familiar? He supposed be would just have to wait to find out.
