Months had passed and slowly they were giving up hope on finding Yuki. Link wanted to keep looking but Zelda finally stopped him. "Let me go zelda!" She sighed "I'm sorry link, but I can't. We need you here. Calamity Ganon is rising to power and we must stop him." Link glared at her "yeah and my best friend is still out there!" Zelda finally had enough and slapped him. His eyes widened from shock and zelda simply looked sad. "I'm sorry. But you weren't listening." He glared as her as he held he side of his face. "We can look for her while we meet up with the other champions how does that sound?" He signed, that was as good as he was getting. "Fine but if I get a lead." "Then I expect you to follow it. We're meeting at Highlands stable. So we should go now if we want to make it by noon. The others must already be on their way. Or there waiting." Link sighed. He grabbed his sword and shield before turning back to Zelda.
"Let's go princess" she sighed. That's what he called her when he was upset or angry. She went to speak but he gave her a pointed glare before he went completely silent. That was her only warning. He was in no mood to deal with people let alone Revali and his arrogance. Zelda sighed again as she looked at the sword Link now carried. It was called the master sword. A sword that seals away darkness itself.
She smiled as she walked outside recalling the day he found it.
*flashback*
They had been looking all over for Yuki when they came upon a forest that was shrouded in a deep fog. Link frowned and headed inside of it wondering if maybe Yuki was there and lost. Both Zelda and link looked around for a path but couldn't find one. The fog was just to thick. So they light a torch to help guide them. They followed the way the wind led them and eventually they had stumbled upon a place called Kokiri forest. Zelda was amazed, she had never seen a place like this before. She went to speak to Link but noticed he was staring at a sword that stuck out of a pedestal.
He didn't say anything as he walked up the stairs and placed his hand on it. Zelda watched him with baited breath as he slowly removed the sword. Link was shocked to say the least. He had no idea what compelled him to do that. He turned to look at zelda when they heard a voice "so the chosen one has come at last. With the princess as well. Tell me hero, what brings you here?" Link turned around and his jaw dropped. Right in front of him was a fucking talking tree. "We....were looking for our friend." "Your friend?"
Link sighed as he explained what she looked like. The tree was silent for a moment "once you have found her, return to here. I wish to meet this woman." Link frowned "erm who are you though?" The tree laughed "I have many names. But lately I have been called the Great Deku tree. I have been around for a very long time protecting these children and this forest. But now you must go. And like I said. Once you have the woman you speak of, return to me." And with that he fell silent. Link looked at zelda who shrugged her shoulders not saying much of anything.  The two quickly left and soon headed back to the castle.
*end of flashback*
Link rolled his eyes as Zelda hummed to herself a grunt slipping past his lips. He didn't like being ordered around. Hell he didn't even fully understand what was happening until Urbosa explained it. Urbosa, now she was someone he could stand. She was sharp witted and she put Revali in his place often, she would have loved Yuki. He was almost sure they would have been friends. Then there was Mipha of the Zoras. She was a kind and gentle person. She was often timid but once she put her mind to it she was determined. Then you had Daruk leader of the gorons. He was actually pretty funny once you got past his rough exterior. Then you had Revali. Fucking arrogant bird. He was of the Rito tribe. He hated how he always got under his skin but didn't show it. It would have been funny to see Yuki snap at him though.
He sighed he had no idea where she was and it was honestly killing him. Zelda sighed, she was never one to really enjoy the silence "can you stop sulking?" "I don't know can you stop sighing?" He snapped back at her. She groaned and immediately shut up. She knew he was hurting and it wouldn't get better until Yuki was back by his side.
Urbosa was already at the stable waiting with Mipha and daruk. Revali wasn't there yet so they had some time to enjoy the silence. "Who was the girl you came with Urbosa?" "Hm? Oh her. She's someone I met on my travels. I've finally convinced her to return home to her friend. She's finally healing again and she misses him." Mipha nodded, as she looked over at the woman with long black hair. She had the most amazing grey eyes and long black hair. Yet she kept her entire face all the way up to her nose covered with a mask. "That's good. You should always wanna return home eventually." Daruk spoke as he smiled at the girl. She didn't say a word or respond. They would leave once Urbosa was done with her stuff here.
To be honest Yuki was scared. How would Link react to her? Hell how would she react to him? Urbosa noticed the worry and gave a soft smile "relax hun, he'll be happy to see you. You've kept him waiting an awfully long time." Just then Revali showed his face "I'm here. Where are they?" "Probably almost here." He rolled his eyes "who is she?" "My friend." Revali grunted "oh great." Yuki glared at the feathered man and snapped "if you have an issue bird brain then you can shove it up your fucking ass." Urbosa blinked and busted out laughing which made the other two laugh as well "hun why don't you walk around. I'll find you once I finish." Yuki nodded and soon left.
Revali was embarrassed never before had someone insulted him in such a way. Well unless that person was Urbosa. He let out a soft chuckle "interesting girl you got there." Urbosa shrugged and looked over just as Zelda and Link arrived "right on time." Link grunted and zelda smiles "it's good to see all of you. Now, let's get to business shall we?" "Yes because once I'm done here i have a friend that is waiting for me to take her home." Zelda raised an eyebrow but didn't ask questions. Urbosa was very much like a mother figure and couldn't resist helping those who really needed it. "Well before you do I would like to thank her for being brave enough to insult me." Link chuckled someone else was actually brave enough to insult Revali.
Revali glared and before an argument could begin did zelda immediately jump into the conversation. The reason as to why they were all there. As the conversation finished did everyone let out a heavy sigh. It was gonna be a long time most likely before Zelda felt her powers come. They ran through several options and eventually agreed upon the springs where she could pray to the goddess themselves.
Yuki was walking back to where she had left Urbosa. She was tired of being alone and really just wanted to find Link. Urbosa had asked her who it was she was returning to but it was clear she wouldn't speak about it. Not yet anyway. As she got closer to the meeting spot did she recall her time with Urbosa.
     *flashback*
She had been traveling for days. She was sore, tired and alone. She missed Link but she knew she couldn't go back. Not until she could start healing. Eventually she came to Gerudo town and slowly entered. As she looked around she saw there were no men here and that confused her. Eventually she stumbled upon a woman named Urbosa. She had asked why no men were here and Urbosa explained it was a law in this city that no voe (men) were allowed inside as it was a sacred city for women. Yuki nodded and asked where there was an inn so she could rest for the night.
Just as Urbosa was about to tell her where did she notice the depression that was heavily clinging to her. "Come with me." Yuki followed her and was surprised when they arrived at her house "you can stay with me. It's obvious you're hurting and being around so many people can actually be harder then it already is." Yuki nodded and thanked her. A few weeks later Urbosa noticed she wasn't getting better so she cornered her and broke her apart. She held Yuki as she cried and let everything out. She let out everything she had bottled up and told her about that night. About her mother. Urbosa felt her heart break.
The poor girl was clearly suffering now. And hearing she ran away also didn't sit well with her. So they compromised. She could stay until she healed enough to go home, then Urbosa herself would take her there. It was 6 months later before Yuki was well enough to travel back home and reunite with her friend. The night before they set out did Urbosa tell her she had some people to meet but it shouldn't take long and then they could head back to Hateno village.
*end of flashback.*
Yuki looked up as she saw a group of monsters come out of no where. Her eyes wide with horror she quickly drew her sword and ran into the battle. Link and the others were defending zelda as they attempted to fight off 15 boboklins. "We're gonna need to retreat!" "Like hell, my friend is here and I won't leave without her!" She snapped her fingers and lightning soon was raining from the sky. Stunning and killing monsters. Just then a blade ran through the one closest to link. Yuki pressed her back right to his and he froze before he took out another. He would question who this was later for now they needed to protect zelda.
Once the monsters were defeated and everyone was sure they were okay did Yuki find herself on he receiving end of a sword. Her grey eyes wide as they met cerulean blue eyes. She dropped her sword and her heart was stuck in her throat "who the fuck are you?" Urbosa snapped "get that the fuck away from my friend now!" Links eyes widened and he lowered his weapon ashamed at his response. "I'm sorry I didn't know." Urbosa sighed. "It's okay. You didn't know." Link looked at the girl and frowned "I'm sorry." She didn't speak she was still in shock. He frowned and looked to Urbosa who shrugged. "L....Link?"
