Several days later they were now nearing the spring of power and Yuki had been oddly tired. Ever since the incident with the temple of time everyone had been on edge. No one knew what to do, Link kept trying to get Yuki to rest some more but she wouldn't. In fact she hardly let him touch her. Revali had noticed and he went to say something but Yuki had silenced him with a glare. Even Urbosa who was close to Yuki couldn't get a reply out of her. Yuki for her part knew why she was so tired, ever since they stopped at a stable to restock some supplies and get a decent nights rest she had been plagued with nightmares. So she simply had snuck out to go on a walk, when she encountered a Yiga Clan member. She wasted no time in drawing her sword and engaging in a battle.
It didn't take long for her finish it off but what she wasn't aware of was the fact that she had been followed by someone from the stable who was worried about her suddenly taking off. "Now I didn't see that coming" her eyes widened as she turned around sword aimed at the person who spoke only to lower it back down when she realized it was a stable boy. "Sorry, reflex's you know?" He laughed "you seem so sweet and innocent, who knew you were such a cold blooded killer. I mean yeah he was a Yiga Clan member, but you didn't even hesitate. You don't even look like you feel guilt. Anyway, you can handle yourself." And with that he left.
Ever since that night his words had bothered her, and it kept her from really sleeping. While usually she slept next to Link, it didn't seem to do much. Especially since she would wait till he asleep then move away from him. Link had tried asking her about that but she told him sometimes she just got to hot, even though she was cold, or she just rolled away and was to lazy to move. He bought it but insisted that she should try to stay as close as possible. Yet no one knew she woke up most nights shaking as she looked at her hands, hands that she knew were stained with blood. And often times she would simply stay awake all night, unable to cope with what was said to her.
She didn't wanna tell anyone either, so she kept it to herself. She didn't need to worry anyone anymore then they were, it didn't help that everyone was now extremely stressed, not only about the failed theory at the temple, but Zelda's failed attempt at the spring. What made it worse was, there were some nights Yuki woke in a cold sweat and started scratching at her hands as all she saw was blood. Eventually it became to much as she gave up as she stayed awake all night long.
She yawned as she came back out of her thoughts and this did not go unnoticed by link who finally had enough and grabbed her by the arm forcing her to stop walking "what the hell link?" She looked at him as she steadied herself and he crossed his arms once he let hers go. "Why Are you so tired?" She sighed "Link, it's nothing, I'm just not sleeping well." This made him frown "yes I'm aware but why aren't you." She looked away as she tried to figure out what to tell him. Something that was partly the truth, "its just me feeling bad, the temple of time was a failure and honestly I am sorry about that." He groaned "Yuki, it's not your fault. For all we know it just may not be time for the goddess to awaken."
He saw her sigh and he wrapped an arm around her waist. "Come on, on my back, you need sleep before you collapse or worse get hurt." She laughed faintly "it's alright Link, I'm good to walk." He raised an eyebrow "that wasn't really a suggestion love, it's kind of me telling you to get on my back." Her eyes widened. Meanwhile everyone else took this as a chance to sit and catch their breath. Everyone was hot and tired, and some of them really just wanted to go back home. "Link, I'm honestly fine." He raises an eyebrow "are you lying?" Her eyes widened "no!" "Yuki, do not make me force it out of you." She gulped and slowly backed away, yet since she was so tired she didn't see Links hand shooting out and grabbing her wrist. She blinked as she was yanked back to him and quickly swept off her feet. "We'll be back guys, I gotta get some answers out of her."
Yuki shivered, she had no idea how he was going to pull the answers he wanted out of her. She wasn't even sure how he caught onto the lie. He quickly walked off as he cradled her against his chest, and as much as she tried to deny it she was exhausted, it didn't take long before she started falling asleep only to force her eyes open. "Yuki, I'm only going to ask once, what is really causing this, i know the temple upset you, but there is more. And it's worrying me love." She sighed as he finally sat her down and she held onto his arm as she steadied herself. "I want to help Yuki, don't you know how much I worry about you when I see how worn out you are?" She sighed as she placed a hand on his shoulder "I'm sorry. I really should trust you more."
He blinked and then frowned "you don't trust me?" "It's not that i don't trust you, I don't know how to open up, I don't trust myself you know?" "Yuki..." she sighed as she hugged herself. "I'll tell you what happened." He simply nodded and leaned against a tree as he listened to her tell him about the night at the stable. He frowned, she told them about the Yiga member but not about the stable boy who had followed her. When she finally revealed what he said did he really frown. "Show me your hands" she blinked confused but none the less held her hands out to him, only for him to hold them before raising them to his lips and kiss them. "I see no blood on your hands, i see a woman however, a woman who is very tired and trying so hard to stay awake, a woman who is beautiful and only does what she has to do to protect her friends. I see a woman who has a gentle heart. I don't see a murder."
Yuki's eyes filled with tears as he spoke to her in a gentle tone, his voice was filled with love and he was showing her yet again how much he loved her. "Link..." "shhh. You aren't a bad person, you've never wanted to harm anyone. So please, don't ever think poorly of yourself." Slowly she nodded as she moved closer and hid her face against his chest. It didn't take long for her to start crying so he simply held her as it ran its course. Once she finished did she finally pull back and gave him a watery smile "thank you." "For what?" "Loving me, and accepting everything about me." He smiled as he caressed her cheek "I'll always love you." And with that being said did he close the gap between them. His lips were firmly pressed against hers as he pushed her back into the tree he was just leaning on. He did it carefully as to not hurt her, however it made her gasp and he slid his tongue into her mouth making her moan. Reaching up she gripped his shirt as he slid his hands under her shirt making her shiver at his touch.
Once they needed air did they part only for him to trail his lips down her throat, once again he moved her shirt to the side, exposing a healing bite mark and he smirked as he recalled when he gave it to her. Yuki shivered as he licked the mark and moaned pressing herself against his body "Link" her voice was raspy, breathless and it made him growl against her skin. He licked the mark before trailing down to her collar bone and started sucking leaving a new mark in its wake. She moaned again and squirmed as she felt his member hardening against her thigh. She knew they would need to stop soon, but it just felt so good. "I love you Yuki." She went to reply back to him but it turned into a breathless moan as he rubbed himself against her covered sex, her moan only made louder as he bit down on her sweet spot leaving yet another of his marks.
He pulled back to look into her dark grey eyes before he once again claimed her mouth with his own. This time his kiss was harsher, hungrier, and even his hands had started trailing up her sides reaching for her covered breast. Just before he could grab them did they hear a noise. They looked up only to see a deer and he groaned the moment now over especially since Yuki was yawning. He didn't even wait he just helped her fix her shirt and picked her up cradling her once again. This time she didn't fight it, she quickly passed out the second her head hit his chest.
When they arrived back several of them went to stand when they saw Yuki wasn't awake. "It's alright, she told me what happened, and I've dealt with it. No need to worry, she's just asleep." That seemed to have settled everyone down. Soon enough they decided to keep going, Link letting Yuki sleep the entire time. He told them what happened along the way and Revali and Urbosa were swearing that the stable boy needed his ass beat. Link agreed but he wouldn't do that. Once they arrived at the spring he realized Yuki was still asleep and sighed. She was really tired. So he gently handed her to Urbosa who was sitting down and followed after Zelda.
When she woke it was dark and she took a moment to get herself together. "Finally awake?" She hummed as she moved from Urbosa "why wasn't i woken when we got here?" "We all happen to like living, that and Link insisted you wake when you were ready." She looked at Revali and nodded actually feeling a bit relieved. "Next time however" she looked up and waited for him to continue "next time someone upset you like that, you kick their fucking ass then tell us and we'll kick his ass." This made her laugh and finally settle down. It didn't take long for link and zelda to return. Neither one looking happy. "Another failed attempt?" "Yes." "Well we still have one more spring to try. Have faith princess." Zelda nodded. It was agreed that it was to late to travel home so they set up camp near the spring.
Once everyone was settled in and fed did people start falling asleep. Yuki moved over to where link was and he quickly took her into his arms. And even though she had slept basically an entire day, she still fell asleep in a matter of moments. Link smiled as he took in her natural beauty and peaceful expression. Carefully placing a kiss to her forehead did he himself finally fall asleep. However no one was aware that Zelda had been watching them. She smiled as she saw how peaceful the two were and quickly pulled out her sheikah slate and took a photo. She smiled as she looked at the photo. She was secretly happy to be going home tomorrow. She needed time to think and process everything. And then it was just the waiting game. Once she was 17 she could go to the spring of wisdom. With that as her last thought did she finally fall asleep.
