The Zora Champion

    When Yuki had found Link he was was staring at the statue of Mipha almost like he was lost in a memory. She gazed upon the statue as well. Feeling nothing she listened to Muzu and Sidon argue back and forth sighing as they went in circles. Looking at the statue again she studied it before her head exploded with pain and she saw white. Dropping to her knees she gasped in pain. "Yuki?!" It was Sidon who was trying to talk to her but she hardly heard him as her own memory flared to life.
   *flashback*
  Yuki and Link had just arrived at Zora's Domain, having turned back from traveling to an unknown location. Her shoulder was wrapped in bandages as link told Mipha that she was injured. Miphas eyes had widened in horror as she quickly pulled Yuki up to her room. "Let me see." Yuki unwrapped the wound with Miphas help and held still as she started mending the torn flesh. "Are you afraid of dying Yuki?" "Yeah i am." Mipha waited for her to continue "it would leave Link all alone, and the rest of you, it would also upset my family." Mipha nodded as she finished healing her "there all done." Yuki smiled at her "thank you, for being my friend and being there for Link when i wasn't." "That's what friends do Yuki. Now here change into this and I'll go find Link" Mipha left and Yuki changed her clothes before covering the scar on her stomach.
    Upon finding link and Mipha did she smile. Link carefully pulled her arms away from her stomach to reveal the scar that had faded with time yet was still easily seen. "It looks amazing Yuki, I'm glad it fits. Link had me make it for you." Yuki looked to Link who nodded "i did, and you look beautiful, scars and all" Mipha was looking at the scar and Yuki shifted "I promise I'll tell you that story another time." "Alright" Link helped Yuki onto Eien before he mounted epona. The two left but not before Link leaned over and kissed her softly on the lips.
    *end of flashback*
  Sidon was holding Yuki while Link was gripping her hand. "Are you alright?" Yuki slowly nodded as Sidon allowed Link to hold her and help her stand up. "What happened?" She was rubbing her head and slowly pulled away from Link. "A memory of Mipha, when she healed my shoulder." She wouldn't bring up the kiss, however it seemed Link and her were closer then she originally thought and that had her shaken, she wasn't expecting it, she didn't realize what they were but it was becoming obvious they were most likely a couple. Link however had recalled that memory and turned Yuki to face him. "Are you alright though?" "Yes, I'm alright." He looked relieved and without even thinking he pressed his lips against hers in a very chaste kiss. Yuki didn't even think she just slapped and he groaned and her jaw dropped. "Right, guess you don't have that memory." He rubbed his jaw and Sidon snickered "sorry Link." He said as soon as Link glared at him.
    Yuki rubbed the back of her head before she reached to touch him and he flinched away making her freeze and slowly back away. "Sorry, I...I really am." She hugged herself. "Right, it's fine. No more kissing you however, I don't like being slapped." Yuki wanted to flinch but kept herself composed however Sidon had notice the slight fall to her shoulders. "Anyway, to be able to enter Vah Ruta you'll need at least 20 shock arrows." Yuki nodded "alright where do we get them?" Link looked at Sidon as he waited for him to speak, however it was Muzu who gave them an answer. "You can get them on Ploymus Mountain. However a vicious Lynel lives there so you'll need to be sneaky in order to get them." The pair nodded "alright, we'll head there." Link had spoken still not looking at Yuki. "Alright, when you two are done meet me at the East Reservoir Lake and together we shall take down Vah Ruta."
    "Alright, Yuki and I will rest for the night if you don't mind." "Of course not! I wouldn't expect either of you to travel in your current conditions." Yuki nodded as the pair said goodnight and went towards the inn. Each one heading to their beds as link closed the door. "Is....your jaw okay?" He looked at her and shrugged "don't worry about it Yuki." This time she couldn't help but flinch, his voice was cold. Not full of it's normal warmth. He noticed and raised an eyebrow but she shook her head. "It's nothing." She saw a bruise forming on his face and guilt easily started eating at her. "I really, really didn't mean to slap you." He sighed and motioned her over to him. Hesitantly she walked over and he pulled her down onto the bed. "Look, I get it, you don't recall those memories, but the slap hurt, and honestly it also hurt my feelings."
    She looked down her shoulders slumping, she had done wrong and she knew it. "I'm sorry." "I forgive you, but I'm not kissing you ever again." Something inside of her died at this and for some odd reason she took off the ring and handed it to him. "Just hold onto that for me, I won't wear something when I can't remember the person." He frowned seeing her remove the ring actually didn't sit well with him but none the less he put it in his pocket. "I don't see why you won't wear it but alright." She looked at him and placed a hand on his face. "I don't expect you to ever forgive me." She focused on the bruise and soon enough her hand was glowing. Links eyes widened as he felt the bruise on his face heal. "Holy hell you did that on your own?"
    Yuki nodded as she tried to steady her breathing. "I recall Mipha saying I need to focus on it, practice, try to make it come to me." He looked at her and smiled. "I forgive you by the way." She looked at him shocked and then bit her lip. She wanted to kiss him, she wanted to tell him she remembered that. But she also didn't deserve him. He was to good for her. He noticed this and cupped her face. "What else did you remember? There's more, and you're not saying." "It doesn't matter anymore, I've caused enough damage. And it can't be fixed." Link raised an eyebrow. Before he decided to test something. "Close your eyes, and for the love of Hylia do not slap me." She blinked confused but closed her eyes. He took a deep breath. 'If she kisses me she remembers. Or hopefully just attracted to me.' He gulped, he really didn't wanna get slap so he held her right hand as he used his left to cup her face. Slowly he leaned forward and placed his lips against hers with yet another kiss. He felt her tense up under him, but he didn't move away, not yet. And thankfully she didn't slap him. Slowly she relaxed as she gripped his shirt with her left hand moving a bit closer towards him.
    He slowly licked her lower lip as he felt her start to respond to his kiss. A soft gasp slipped past her lips and he took that as his chance to slide his tongue into her mouth. She moaned as he let go of her hand in order to cradle her against him. Slowly she pulled away and he growled disappointed that the kiss was so short. Opening his eyes he saw a bright red blush and she was looking at anything but him. "Can i assume you're attracted to me at least? I mean you actually let me kiss you." She hesitated before biting her lip which was oddly driving him nuts. "Stop that." She looked at him confused. "Stop what?" "Biting your lip, do you not understand how crazy that drives me?" She blinked before biting her lip again only to end up on her back and him on top of her. "Do it again and I'll bite you." Her eyes widened and she tried to avoid biting her lip, but it was a habit of hers. Especially when she was nervous. "I...remembered that kiss..." he blinked "and you still slapped me?" She bit her lip not even thinking about that and Link growled. "Eh?" "Don't do that unless you wanna face the consequences."
   Blushing she went to move away "It was actually a reflex, I didn't see it coming and I reacted...I really didn't mean to. And I don't deserve you. Not anymore. I've done more wrong to you then I ever should have." Slowly she stood getting out of his bed leaving link shocked into silence. Just as she laid in her own bed did she hear a very possessive growl "what gave you the right to think you weren't good enough? To make this choice for me?" She rolled over to face him "it's obvious enough Link, I've hurt you twice, I've physically hurt you. So if you want better i will not stop you." It hurt her to say that, it hurt to even imagine him with another. She refused to show that on her face however and rolled to face the wall again. "Yeah, well I don't want anyone else, i want you. Yeah, you've slapped me, and pushed me away. But honestly the first time you pushed me away I could tell I scared you. This time I literally kissed you with no warning. So yeah, your action is somewhat justified." She said nothing and he moved heading over to her bed. Silently laying down next to her she bit her lip feeling his warmth at her back and shivered as he leaned over his hot breath against her ear. "And if I ever see, or hear of a man touching you, kissing you, asking you to be his. I'll probably punch him." She shivered again at the low huskiness of his voice and the possessive growl. "Do you wanna no why?" She slowly nodded as his hand trailed up her stomach only to rest on her shoulder before turning her to face him. He saw her biting her lip and her eyes a shade darker. "Oh Yuki. The answer is really simple." She raised an eyebrow "it's because well, you're mine. And I do believe I told you to stop that." Her eyes widened and the next thing she knows is he's kissing her. Tangling his hand into her long black hair she moaned against his mouth.
     "Link...." she had broken the kiss but that didn't mean Link was done. He trailed kisses and nips all the way down to her neck before latching onto what he hoped was her sweet spot. She moaned, and he grinned, it was probably the most beautiful noise he had ever heard from her. Sucking just hard enough to leave a mark did he stop and lay next to her covering them both with the blanket. "Sleep." He kissed her forehead and she slowly snuggled against him. Wrapping a possessive arm around her he waited for her to settle down. Her head on his chest as she listened to his heart. "Yuki, unless you truly don't want to be with me, I won't let you go. Not without one hell of a fucking fight." "I know Link, trust me i know." And with that she yawned and he chuckled "alright love, sleep." Nodding her head she closed her eyes easily drifting off to sleep.
     Once she was asleep did he reach into his pocket and pulled out the simple promise ring. Chuckling he slid it back on her finger. "There, that looks better." Placing one last kiss to the top of her head did he finally fall asleep. He could finally figure out they were most likely a couple, and a very close one at that from the memories he had found so far. Which was only three but those three were a great help. Now if he could just figure out when that ring was given to her and by who he could figure out what his next step would be. The two peacefully slept through the night.
   When link woke it was to an empty bed and at first he felt panic until he heard Sidon outside of his door. "He's going to fucking kill someone." "Calm down Sidon, he isn't that rash." "Muzu honestly, I don't know, he might be. Ugh, just why?" Muzu sighed "well yelling isn't going to help." Link got up and put on some clean clothes before he opened the door "why am I going to kill someone? And why are you two yelling." Both Muzu and Sidon flinched, neither one was ready to tell Link that his potential girlfriend just ran off to face a Lynel on her own. "First I have an actual question." "Okay?" "One, did you sleep okay?" Link rolled his eyes "yes until I woke up in bed, alone." Both Muzu and Sidon were shocked at this. "Alone as is in, in the room alone or bed alone?" "Both." Two sets of jaws dropped "so you two...." "are a couple, have been for the last one hundred years actually. Just took a bit to remember."
    Sidon groaned as he now dreaded telling Link even more that his girlfriend was possibly suicidal and ran off to face the Lynel alone. "Start talking Sidon." Muzu gulped and slowly backed away. "Don't move Muzu because you know exactly what I want to know." Sidon shifted and then hung his head. "Yuki woke up early this morning, it's actually around 10 am now. She left around 8." Link nodded waiting for him to continue "she went to get the shock arrows...." link blinked not completely understanding  what was being said. Sidon groaned "Link, don't kill me okay?" "Okay?" "No I'm serious don't kill me." Link rolled his eyes "I'm not going to kill you Sidon." Sidon slowly nodded before he spoke "she went to go get the shock arrows from the Lynel." Link blinked before his eyes widened in absolute horror. "She what?!" "This morning she apparently left to go after the Lynel but she doesn't have the Zora armor which allows one to climb waterfalls." Link felt panic fill his entire being. "I'll go retrieve her." Sidon nodded "i swear Link no offense your girlfriend is fucking insane and or suicidal." Link shuddered as be could only agree on that.
    Running into the room he grabbed his weapons and bag only to stop as he saw something flying above the domain as he exited his room. "What the?" The person let go of the paraglider and fell towards the ground. Horror filled links eyes as he watched the person. Said person opened it up again as they slowed their decent only to release it once more and land easily on their feet. Upon getting closer did he recognize said person and blinked. Yuki was obviously out of breath, she was panting as if she ran a marathon. She was also completely soaked. Yet she had something on her back, something they had needed. "Yuki!" She flinched hearing that voice and cursed as she turned around pressing a hand to her hip she looked at him and gave him a sheepish smile "hi?" He crossed his arms "don't you just Hi me missy, what the absolute fuck were you thinking going there alone? How the Fuck did you even get up there for Hylia's sake?"
     She blinked "I was thinking of you. You one needed rest, two out of the both of us my ability to sneak is better. Three, I climbed, bit hard at first, but I found dry patches, which helped me." He sighed looking relieved that she was even back but that changed when he saw the blood on her hand "and what happened there?" She sighed "a jagged rock caught my side. The Lynel however is dead." He blinked, she killed it?! "You...you killed it?" "Mmm, thing was a nasty fucker. Really fast, funny watching it run into rocks though." His jaw dropped as he watched her heal her own side. "You're fucking nuts." "I am. But when you're safety is involved I won't take second chances." He walked over to her and pulled her into his arms "you fucking crazy woman. I'm seriously just gonna have to chain you to me at this rate."
     She laughed and both Sidon and Muza ran over. "You crazy woman! What on earth were you thinking? Do you hylians not value your own lives?" Yuki blinked "I value links more then I value my own. He's needed, why I'm still here I don't know." Link didn't like hearing that and hit the back of her head "ow!" She glared at him and he returned it causing her to back down slightly "you're life is as important as mine. And I'm damn sure there is a reason you are still here." She sighed as she rubbed the back of her head. "Yeah yeah." He Tapped her head again "Don't yeah yeah me." Sidon snickered And was greeted with two nasty glares "oh come on, you two bicker like a married couple." Yuki blushed and Link smirked. "She might as well be my wife then, the ring on her finger would finally make sense. Even if it's just a promise ring." Yuki blinked "Link, I took it off and gave it to you last night remember?" He raised an eyebrow at her. "Erm, Yuki you might wanna look at that hand of yours again." Yuki blinked at what Sidon had said and she looked at her hand and groaned. "When did you do this?" He chuckled "last night, when you fell asleep in my arms." She blushed and looked away "I told you I don't feel right wearing this." He shrugged "and you looked weird without it so it stays on. I'm sure we'll have that answer for that ring soon enough anyway."
     Sidon wanted to laugh but they really needed to head to Vah Ruta. "As much as I love watching this we need to head to Vah Ruta before it's to late." Link and Yuki both nodded, all jokes now gone both appeared to be very serious and Sidon couldn't help but be amazed. Quickly he led them down to the area where Ruta was being contained and climbed into the water. "Alright, Link, Yuki get on my back, I'll get you as close as I can so you can take those four glowing spots out." They nodded and climbed onto Sidons back, Yuki behind Link, and Link in the front. As if it sensed them did Vah Ruta let out an ungodly shriek "seems it knows we're here, if you two at any time do not feel ready or you're to hurt, tell me and we'll retreat." "Understood." And with that they headed full speed towards Vah Ruta.
