The days went by fast as Levi was at school. He started to hang out with Luna a bit more. Not only that but he gotten closer with Aidan and Peter as well.

"My birthday is coming up!" Luna explained as Levi nodded in understanding. She looked at him and smiled as her green eyes lit up a bit.

"You want to come? It's going to be at my house! And it's a sleep over!" She giggled as her friends joined in the laughter a bit. He smiled as she went on.

"It's November 22, I hope you can make it" she beamed as he chuckled in response which made her giggle.

"I'll ask my mom" with that said, Levi left to find his friends as Luna stayed and talked with her buddies.

"Hey Levi!" Landon said as him and the other two walked towards the green eyed boy. Levi waved as they all started to talk about the trip. Peter had lots of fun as did Landon. Aidan still seemed a bit shy and quiet, though they all got along nicely.

"Ahh it was so much fun, I even saw this guy! Though it was so strange" Landon mumbled as Levi and the others stopped talking to listen to Landon's talk.

"What do you mean?" Peter asked as all their attention turned towards Landon. He thought for a moment as he looked straight ahead- lost in thought.

"I mean" he started, "there was this guy. He had a white hoodie and he reminded me of Jeff" his eyes locked on Levi's, "ya know, the figure you saw" all heads snapped towards Levi as he stayed quite. Landon kept talking, "I didn't see his face but he was asking about you" with that, Levi's throat started to get dry.

Why would someone be asking about him? First the orange hooded guy, now this?

"What do you mean?" Levi's voice came out shaky, as if he was scared. He might be, it felt like another nightmare- something he hated.

"I don't know" Landon shrugged, "he just ask for your name and your parents- it was so weird but kinda cool" Landon gave him a cheeky grin, they were kids after all. Things like this fueled their excitement, all but Levi's.

"My parents?" He asked as Landon nodded, "your real parents, I told them they were Julia and Sam because those are your real parents, right?" Then it hit him, Levi never told his friends that he was adopted.

Quite frankly, he didn't understand what adopted was. He was so young when he taken away from his birth mother, all he knew was that Julia and Sam loved him.

"Uh" he paused before smiling wearily, "Yea, those are my parents" he waved his hand while chuckling a bit though it came out forced.

You could tell.

Peter and Aidan glanced at each other as Landon shot his buddy a concerned look. Levi didn't want to have this conversation, especially not here or now. He knew his friends wouldn't understand, heck. They probably don't know what adoption is, they may have heard it when getting an animal but not a human.

"You met my parents" Levi broke the silence, "of course their mine" he tried to convince which seemed to work. They were middle schoolers after all (NOT TRYING TO BE RUDE. I was a very gullible middle schooler and I'm still gullible).

The smiled as Landon went on the story, Levi let out a small relief. Something he didn't know he was holding.

"Anyways" Landon smiled, "they were just curious of you. It was weird" he laughed as the other boys joined in the laughter.

"I think you have some fans" Peter snickered which caused the boys laugh harder, Levi joined in the laughs even though his mind was petrified.

His nightmares and visions weren't helping either. Not only that but they orange dudes warning stuck in his mind.

'I'll be back for you, Levi.'
What does he mean by that? Would he come soon? Will he be kidnapped? Will he lose his parents? So many questions ran through his mind.

Death was something that didn't run through his mind from this wanting though, he couldn't understand that everyone dies- he was to young. Sure, there were times he didn't want to live but he didn't want to die either. He just doesn't want to exist for a while, lay low I suppose.

He shook his head to get rid of the thoughts as the boys all started to talk about other things.

Soon the school ended, Levi and Landon started their journey home as the started to laugh about a joke Landon said.

"You think I could sleep over this weekend? I know we just got from a trip and all but my mom—" Landon stopped himself as they all kept walking, he couldn't finish. He would get in trouble. Big, big trouble.

"I mean, hang out during the day ya know?" Levi gave him a side glance as Landon smiled his normal, bright smile. Levi scanned his body as his eyes landed on Landon's arm that was covered in his long sleeve. The sleeve was sliding down a little as Landon held his backpack string, Levi noticed a huge bruise forming on his small arm.

Before he could think he was brought back to reality.

"—So you think I could come over Saturday maybe?" He asked as Levi gave him a warm smile.

"Of course, my parents loves you! You're like their other son" Landon smiled upon hearing this.

"I'm happy to hear that" with that said both boys walked in comforting silence as they neared their homes.

Today was a good day.

Though one thing struck Levi's mind.

Where did Landon's bruises come from?
